  1. I posted about a similar problem but I was using mis-matched RAM (corsair and g.skill), since changed to the same model but the problem persists since changed to the same model but the problem persists, Motherboard and cpu-z recognize the ram Found more or less the same problem googling (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2074084/asrock-extreme3-z77-recognizing-sticks-ram.html), However no solution found there. To summarize, all individual slots work (although I haven't stress tested the ram/individual slots) and all the ram is detected it will only ever use 2x4gb totalling to 8gb. Hardware: Intel i5 3570k Asrock Extreme4 z77 4x4gb G.Skill F3-12800cl9d-8gbxl Antec 520W "gamer" semi modular psu Inno3d GTX670
  2. XMP is enabled with everything set to auto (I've tried configuring it from "auto" to 2n in the profile, but it isn't a drop down and typing "2n" "2" "2N" and other variants just defaults to auto auto, not sure about what the syntax it could possibly want is) I am unsure by what you mean about bankings When I originally installed them, I did a full dusting of my computer at the time. But I will attempt that again (any physical hardware configuration alterations are unlikely since it's 3am for me right now) As in the OP, all 4 modules are in, only A2 and B2 are being used by the motherboard, while all 4 are detected by the motherboard in the hardware browser, and 16gb does show up in cpu-z
  3. A while ago I bought myself some additional ram for my system. I picked up 2x4gb GSkill RipjawX (F3-12800"CL9D"-8GBXL) to expand upon my 2x4gb corsair vengeance (CML8GX3M2A1600CL9) because my friend told me it would likely work (and at the time there was no corsair vengeance in stock in the state), the problem is that it only works to an extent. Only 8gb is ever useable in windows. I have tried every physical configuration of RAM, but it does not fix this. The individual sticks are detected by the motherboard in the hardware explorer (CPU-Z recognizes the 16gb too, but my motherboard states 2N CAS timing while it says 2T) Motherboard also says the CAS timing for the G.skills is 11-11-11-28, not the advertised 9-9-9-24 For Reference I'm using: z77 asrock extreme-4 motherboard i5 3570k @ base clock inno3d GTX 670 Antec "gamer" 520W PSU RAM slotting A1 Corsair vengeance A2 Corsair vengeance (used) B1 G skill ripjaws B2 G skill ripjaws (used) I'd appreciate any help I can get, thankyou. Edit: http://imgur.com/a/IVnt6 Here is an album showing what I thought could be relevant in the UEFI
  4. 980 amp looks nicer, triple slot is tacky to me for some reason, LED's on it seem kind of nice too. Haven't got my hands on the 900 series, but the ease of supersampling seems like a nice feature to have.
  5. A better Z1? What's not to love? I'd never heard of dbrand before, checked out their website seems nice although I'd probably stick to save money. The LTT design is really nice I must admit though.
