  1. It's hot. Seems hot for a normal load but prime95 is artificial. I think that is still high but others will know! What's the temps at normal loads?
  2. You've got to format the drive for windows. Forgot the steps but go to Mycomputer and look to format. Someone will help me here!
  3. Like so could be a dumb question but did you try alternative slots. ie 1 and 3 or 2 and 4? I've found them to be like that....you don't populate 1 and 2 together....it's 1 and 3 etc.
  4. A 1080 is a great card but pricing is so crazy. I'm happy with mine but saving up for a 1440p monitor to really test it out. I'm happy and sure it'll fulfill my needs with a better monitor and I got it at a decent price. It's more expensive than what I paid for it last year...that is whack!
  5. That is the ssd cage on top. Using an M.2 for operating system and hard drive you can see on floor. Plan is to get another ssd eventually but just using hard drive for bulk store of games. It's a gaming rig. It's a great case to build in. I have used nothing but Corsair cases in my last few builds. They are decent quality and easy to use. It should suit your needs well if you don't want the tempered glass look!
  6. A quick grab through the phone.....not the best but gives you an idea...it's on top of a desk and it is a large perspex window!
  7. I keep my air540 on my desk which is why I like cube cases. The perspex window looks pretty good to me! It does it's job and shows things off quiet well. It is roomy.
  8. So. Have a Asus Hero X and running a 8700k as you do. Messed around a bit but haven't really locked in an overclock yet but came across an interesting thing in Corsair link. I see one of the motherboard heat sensors maxed out at 127 degrees then no reporting ever since It's motherboard sensor #5. Is that in anyway important? I'd say it's a dud sensor and everything else is great...no complaints..... Just wanted to ask before I get too far into it! Thanks heaps!
  9. Yeah rma the unit. Looks like pump is gone. I found that Corsair were extra quick and was very happy with their service. I got a replacement unit within a couple of weeks.
  10. Sounds like pump failed. I had the same thing happen and had to rma the h100i. Corsair has like a 5 year warranty so it shouldn't be an issue....just takes time to get it back.
  11. I have the corsair strafe with cherry reds and like it a lot. I moved up from a steel series 6gv2 with blacks. It was built like a brick outhouse and sensational. I like the strafe but I still think the basic and without bells 6gv2 was a great starting point!
  12. So. Having probs with the loudness of the stock fans on my h100i v2. I have a cube case, Corsair Air 540 and keep it on the desk with all it's bling. I like that and that is why I use a cube case rather than a tower on the floor. Anyways. Even with headphones on I was getting bad noise out of the stock fans. One in particular was bad and loud. Early days but a punter wanted to know the outcome. Ended up buying Noctua industrial NF-F12 2000rpm fans. Installed today. Negligible noise and temps the same or nearabouts. Happy as Larry! Bit annoying for the stock......I use headphones and even with them I was hearing the stockies winding up! Nice bit of aircooling.....comes at a price though! Wasn't cheap!
  13. Ordered some noctua nf-f12 four pin fans......used them on a previous build but these are the industrial ones which look a bit better.....Will post when I get them in and check temps. Hope it's a good solution............these ones are driving me nuts!
  14. Same number of pins but different pin layout as I understand it. I don't think it's backwards compatible.
  15. Hi folks, Just a quick question. Noise of standard corsair fans really annoying so looking to get some Noctua fans for the radiator to replace the supplied one. Do I get 3 pin or 4 pin fans? I know it's a dumb question but using corsair link to run things... It's payday tomorrow so will pull the trigger but what are the pros and cons of 3 v 4 pin fans??? Thanks in advance!
