  1. Thanks for the reply. I only mentioned the Pi because I already have one that I was using for a NAS. I don't really use it anymore, and I just thought it would help if I mentioned it. I don't have a motherboard where the Media Cabinet is, and I don't really want to put anything bulky there. Hence why I was thinking about the RPi
  2. Thanks for the help, I do want to learn about sensors and start coding in python so I think I'll take a look into the Adafruit tutorials. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
  3. Thanks for the reply. What you've said is a lot of help. I think I'm going to look into the Arduino and see what I can find
  4. Hi thanks for the reply Yeah I saw this, and that's where I originally got the idea. The issue is that I don't have a full proper computer there to manage the PWM fans. I could use a the Raspberry Pi for it, but I have no idea how.
  5. Hi I just thought I'd start this by saying that I'm an absolute beginner to electronics, and the furthest I've really done is build my own gaming PC. But I'm willing to learn and try everything So the problem I have is that my parents bought this really fancy media cabinet and in it we have our XBOX, TV Box, DVD Player and our AV Receiver. The issue is that it boils in there, and sometimes the box's stop working and need to be cooled down. Right now we just leave the doors open at the front, and usually this is fine, but I want to make some holes at the back and fit some PWM fans for intake and exhaust to try and get some of the hot air out of there. I've got 2 Corsair PWM fans that came with a pc component that I didn't need, and I'm planning to buy 2 more if I can figure out how to do this. I want to be able to vary the fan speed so I can have it at low noise most of the time, and then ramp it up if it gets really hot. I have a raspberry pi, and I tried searching online to find guides and such, but all of it seemed beyond me and the terminology left me more confused when I started. I'm really hoping any of you can point me in the right direction and help me out. Thanks in advance, and sorry if i've put this post in the wrong place, or if I'm missing something incredibly obvious.
  6. I think the size is what makes in amazing. I want to be able to stick this to behind my monitor and run some amazing games of it
  7. I really like the headset, it looks awesome Lemme win pls

  9. Sorry I keep adding to this, but What is the benefit of the Noctua Air cooler vs the H80i? The price is the same, on Amazon.co.uk. I know Noctua make amazing fans, but I've also heard good things about Corsairs all in one coolers So what's the benefit of the Noctua's?
  10. The other thing was about the 2011. I don't know if it's within the price range, but if you can show me a board, RAM and CPU to use that'll be within budget, that would be amazing Thanks guys
  11. Wow, I forgot to turn on email notifications for this, so sorry for the no replies. I have the thermal compound already from something else so its not a cost, and I already have an OS disk. I don't need a great looking case, just something cheap and easy to build in. In terms of applications: Manga Studio, After Effects, Photoshop, Blender, Sony Vegas and Maya. I'm intending to use this at Uni, where I'll be doing a lot of animation stuff, so I'd rather have 16GB from the get go. And others have said having more is always better, but I don't need 32GB right now, nor do I have the money I was unsure between the 4770 and 4771, but the 4771 is cheaper, so it seemed like a no brainer. Why the WD red/blue? What in particular is better? Thanks for all the help guys
  12. Hi guys I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I have a budget of around £1000, or around $1600, for this Gaming/Animation PC, excluding peripherals. I've got something already, shown below, but I'd appreciate some input Thanks in advance guys, and sorry if I've made any noob choices. CPU: Intel Core i7 4771 Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 3 RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB DDR3 1866MHz Black Graphics card: KFA2 GTX 770 2048MB SSD: Samsung 840 EVo 120GB Hard Drive: 1TB WD Black Case: Corsair Carbide 200R Windowed Fans: Corsair AF120-LED Quiet Edition x 4 Monitor: LG 22MP55HQ 22 inch Widescreen. PSU: Corsair Builder Series 600W Semi-modular CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i Thermal Paste: IC Diamond 7 I don't really intend to overclock, unless it would be within the price range and would really boost performance. I have a feeling I've forgotten something important...but that's all I think. Thanks again
  13. I found the channel by searching for a review of the Razer Blade 2013, and have been a fan ever since. I'm thankful to Linus since I avoided buying the laptop, based on the screen, and waited for the 2014 edition, and bought that. Thanks guys
  14. I love the amazing battery life on this phone, plus I'm fed up of most phones needing a charge after 12 hours I like the orange skin on the phone, and dbrand have an awesome customization on their site for phone decals
