Budget (including currency): $3000 USD. Somewhat arbitrary and there is some flexibility in this amount. But I'm also fine staying under budget. Not necessarily looking to try to max out that specific dollar amount.

I am working on a new PC to upgrade from the GTX770/i7-3770k that I've been running for the last decade. I'm upgrading because those parts are pretty dated now and I just finished grad school so this is something of a graduation gift to myself. The plan is to build a new system from the ground up rather than upgrade the existing one. I haven't picked out any new monitors yet but was considering running at 1440p (though I am toying with the idea of 4k instead). So far I've put together the following list of parts and I was hoping to elicit some general feedback or opinions on improvements from you fine folks:
