  1. I think I may have found the problem, I looked back through everything and realised I had un-installed the Atheros AR956x drivers and I'm pretty sure that's what caused my issue. Thanks anyway guys, sorry for wasting your time
  2. There isn't one on this laptop I'm pretty sure. So I don't think I did do that
  3. I got a new laptop recently (Lenovo g50-75) and being Lenovo, it came with a lot of pre-installed programs which seemed to have no use. So I hopped in to control panel and starting un-installing some of the programs. There then came an issue. My internet disconnected and wouldn't reconnect, also there would be no connections available so I couldn't find anything. The last thing I remember un-installing was ShareIt but I re-installed that and it didn't do anything. I then went on to the Lenovo driver page for the laptop and downloaded the bluetooth/wifi thingy but that also did not help with anything. So once again I come here to you, for your expert help. Oh yeah, if you were wondering how I downloaded the drivers and stuff I just plugged in an ethernet cable which is what I'm using right now. Thanks, Jack
  4. Hey guys, I got a new ssd recently that I wanted to use as a boot drive. And I was wondering how to do it, I know there are a lot of guides but I have a different problem. With the guides you migrate all your files from the hard drive to the ssd, but this isn't possible with me as I have a 1tb hard drive nearly full and a 120gb ssd. So I was wondering is there any way of just migrating windows to the ssd and not all my other junk that's on there? Thank you p.s I do have another 1 tb hard drive I was planning on installing aswell, so I was wondering should I just put all my stuff on my hard drive on there (other than windows) then just follow one of the guides
  5. Well, I bought Dragon Age Origins because it's on sale on Steam for 5 pound and my friend had recommended it before. So I bought it, did the download and launched it then I got faced with a error saying 'Error initializing PhysX' Then some link saying update the PhysX drivers. But obviously where I am using a Radeon 7950 I can't use PhysX. I ran into a problem like this with Metro: Last Light and I found some guide telling you how to turn it off and it worked and that was fine. But I looked up a similar guide for Dragon Age Origins and I can't find nothing other than people having this issue but they have Nvidia cards so the answers on the threads were to just re-install the driver and be done. So now, I come to you for help. To help me turn off the PhysX so that I can enjoy some good old Dragon Age. -Jack
  6. A single 980 is the safe way to go, but fuck. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't go for two 970's something about more than one graphics card just seems incredibly appealing for me.
  7. I think what I'm going to do is get a 8370 then save up for a year two then completely change over to Intel. But for right now amd suits my needs so I'll just stick with it until a reasonable upgrade is available. Thanks!
  8. Okay, thanks guys I guess I should hopefully be upgrading to the fx cpu soon. Thank you all for the help and actually taking what I said into consideration, if it was another forum I would have probably got replied to with something like "Hurrdurr #IntelMasterRace"
  9. I need your help! You have to think about this through my point of view. I am a 15 year old who has already build pc's before, but now I am having trouble deciding whether to get the new fx amd cpu and a closed loop watercooler then try to overclock the hell out of it. Or change over to an i5 cpu and get a brand new mobo and cpu. I know for most people they will just instantly say go for the Intel cpu because it's better in basically every way and amd cpu's are just for budget builds. But there's my problem, I am on a budget... Right now the only income I will be getting will be coming from a part time job if I can get one. So I can either wait quite a while and save up to change to Intel and go through the hassle of re-installing windows and drivers and what not or just get a new amd cpu then get a decent overclock and stick with that for a while. Although, I don't plan on sticking with this build for a super long time. Just maybe a year or two until I have saved up enough to completely redo my system. So, what do you guys think?
  10. Oh, no mine would just stay off until i pushed the 24 pin in. Then it worked fine.
  11. Umm, you take a look in the case an see if the 24 pin is fully inserted into the slot. This happened to me once where the disconnectable 4 pin bit of the 24 pin wasn't pushed in all the way so it would turn on because there was power from 20 connected pins, but then it would power off a second or two later.
  12. NZXT H440 master race. No but seriously, cable management barely even exists with this case. Other than the sucky airflow it's great imo.
  13. The fx-6300 already has a turbo clock of 4.2ghz and mine can reach that easily using Asrock extreme3 and an fx-6300. So in your case you've already got what you want.
