I have a R9 290. Loud and power-hungry thing. I thought of installing a spare cpu heatsink onto it, but I have no solution for those mega-ultra-uber-etc-hot VRMs. I suppose cooling a pascal GPU is much more easy.

I agree with slifer in regards with Linus's personal rig. Thanks for this giveaway, is it international tho?

Thx for the giveaway, folks! We do appreciate this. As for the best item, I suppose the kuhler does it with it's dual pump design.

Corsair Carbide 300R vs Cooler Master CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced
heruvilius replied to heruvilius's topic in Power Supplies
I have a fully modular PSU, planning to make custom cables for it, a single HDD, no ODD, so a crapton of cables won't be an issue. Are there any rubber gromits on HHD mounts? If are, how effective are they?- 4 replies

If anyone is still interested: 3.8 GHz, works fine under cheap DeepCool heatsink. I am OC'ing it further as soon as I figure out how to tweak the voltage.

Because they are way too noisy. I have 2 intakes and 1 exhaust.

Hello, I'm currently using 3 Thermalright X-Silent 120s and 2 Fractal Design 140s (came with FD Core 3000). While those 140s really need a replacement (noisy as sh), I am unable to find anything better than those 120s due to lack of knowledge. They become audible at around 900 RPM while delivering unsatisfying airflow. Here are the fans available at my location: http://catalog.onliner.by/fan/section/~fp%5Bprice%5D%5Bfrom%5D=~fp%5Bprice%5D%5Bto%5D=12~fp%5Btype_fan%5D=chassis~fp%5Bdiameter_fan%5D%5Bfrom%5D=120~fp%5Bdiameter_fan%5D%5Bto%5D=120~add=0~where=onsale~currency=USD~city=minsk~sort_by=price~dir=asc/ The budget is 12 bucks per piece. Advice anyone?

Hello everyone. I've got an old-ass PC (Athlon 950, 256 meg SDRAM). I was wondering if installation of HD 2600 could help this system with decoding videos. But people on forums say that HD 2600 has serious issues with hardware acceleration, but those threads are old. Is there anyone who knows if those problems are solved now, in 2014. Thnx.

I've already did it. So it can handle G3258 on 4GHz, right?

Hello everybody. I'm getting Asus H81M-D PLUS soon and I was wondering if somebody has ever tried overclocking G3258 on such a board.
