  1. Jumper118 Do you think we could have a tab added to the document for Unigine Heaven benchmarks?
  2. I know the max 'supported' resolution for the 970 from any display port is 4k but when you do surround 1080 and it surpasses the 'supported' resolution does that cause a extreme strain on the gpu or a tax of a kind? Looking at the charts I am a little confused as to why I scored so low? I might try to oc my cpu higher than what I did it at last time but I wanted to get this clear first.
  3. So I got my hands on 3 1080p IPS panels for a price I couldn't pass up. Here's what I got. It seems low to me. I have a g3258 @ 3.8 gpu @ 1506 core 1976 memory I spent all of 30 seconds oc'ing the cpu and gpu. I'll try to hit 4.6+ on the cpu and a bit more on the gpu. More to come shortly.
  4. I'm using a 240 rad aio myself. Plan on upgarding to a case that allows 2 360 or 2 480 rads for future 980 ti sli and keeping this one for G3258 and this 970. Still trying to get comfortable with voltage before I try going for 5Ghz.
  5. Yeah, I thought everybody turned that off. I did that right after the update to windows 10 preview.
  6. Ah, okay. I'm going to update to it later. I'm currently in a bad storm and don't want to risk losing power while updating. Already did once and thought I fried something.
  7. Sorry for the delayed response, for some reason it didn't show as an alert that someone posted until after I quoted in here.
  8. No, I didn't have any issues ocing in 7. I never went to 8, tried it and didn't like it so I reverted. I disabled all power saving features in the bios. So then with windows 10 and my bios this chip is pretty much gimped. Nice. Well I'll be upgrading here soon anyways but nice to know I will need a new board if I want to oc. I'll upgrade to a newer build of 10 and see if that fixes it.
  9. I updated to Windows 10 preview ver. 10130 and went to oc my g3258 in my bios but after i made all my changes and restarted booting back into my bios the settings were as I left them however my cpu speed was still stock. I booted into windows and checked with cpuz and confirmed it was reporting stock settings. I left it there figuring it wasn't reporting the correct speeds since my temperature rose as to it's normal point like it does with the overclock then I started to get random reboots every 5 minutes. Is anyone else having issues overclocking in windows 10 preview? I currently have the g3258 at stock, tried to go to 4.0, easily can do it. MSI sli + mobo that i was using in windows 7 when I was able to overclock to my hearts content. I can still oc my gpu same as before however.
  10. It is definitely still a bit of a mess. They keep moving things around. But overall I like it.
  11. What program did you use to make this outline? This case also looks great btw, good design. I'm thinking of doing a custom case myself but much larger.
  12. First time I was an early adapter was the gx8350 and then the gtx 970 g1 gaming. Both were amazing and I regret nothing. Being on the bleeding edge is a thrill and rush I would love to experience more but can't due to budget.
  13. As far as I can tell all cpus only officially support 1600mhz ram. I know my mobo is rated up to 3300oc. I know I will not anywhere near that extreme with ddr3 however. I will be using the 4790k with this ram however. Ive seen those handle faster ram.
  14. Thank you. As long as you don't mismatch the capacities in each respective channel as far as I think it would go.
