  1. So I just purchased this beast a couple days ago and am not impressed. First, let me talk about the first things that's kinda bugging me. If you see the attached images, just on one side of the vent there's this annoying foam kinda material just sitting there. That isn't present on the other side. What's even surprising is that this thing is even a bit hard to get out. So I'm not sure what I should do now. Force it out or let it be? It would be great to get an opinion from y'all. On another note, the speakers on this thing are INCREDIBLY weak. It's like half the capacity of my phone, literally. I'm convinced this isn't how bad it's supposed to be by design, but I was hoping any other GL502VM owners could comment. Thank you!
  2. A 500 GB Samsung 850 PRO SSD was able to fit in the giveaway budget http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-512GB-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7KE512BW/dp/B00LF10KTO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449735574&sr=8-1&keywords=ssd+850+evo+pro My parents have a really old hard drive still running in their system, and that is making things really really slow for them.(Which is why they hardly use it ) Ive been thinking of upgrading to an SSD since all the other components are pretty solid. This is the perfect oppurtunity
  3. Definitely the FEENIX Aria. Why? Cuz it looks flippin sick!
  4. Another doubt, my UPS can only handle around 320 - 360w. Is that enough for the TV? thanks
  5. Ive been using this UPS for a while, and like all other APC UPSs, this one handles the power here like a champ. So i dont think it would cause any issues.
  6. So a UPS on its own isnt good enough?
  7. My UPS doesnt have any of those force shutdown features... Just supplies power to the device for a while after a power cut.. So it shouldnt matter right?
  8. Hey guys, I just bought the LG 43LF6300 Smart TV. ( http://www.lg.com/in/tvs/lg-43LF6300 ). I live in a country where power fluctuations may occasionally occur, and people use voltage stabilizers a lot. Could anyone tell me roughly how much power the TV would consume at max (watts)? Also, is a 600VA (~320-350W) UPS a substitute for a voltage stabilizer? cuz i have an unused one at home and wanted to know if i could compromise on the stabilizer by using the UPS . Thanks
  9. I believe this works only for desktop based applications. It screws up when games go into fullscreen mode
  10. And where would i find this overscan setting exactly? For Nvidia GPUs? Thanks Edit: I believe overscanning fixes only issues that are desktop related. The whole story changes when you get into a game (at fullscreen mode) . Thats the issue Im having
  11. Also, The exact issue is listen in that link provided. But the fix isnt working for me
  12. Hey, thanks for tuning in. Umm what exactly is overscanning? Im kind of a real noob in this department. And is there any possible fix?
  13. Hey guys, I recently got a PC upgrade and am finally able to run games at native 1080p on my 23.7" TV Monitor. (LG FLATRON M237WAP). But theres this huge bummer. Few games that I have (FC4, NFS-MW 2012), act really weird in 1080p full screen mode. The colours are too much, and everything seems alaised and blocky( as if upscaled) and although all the game elements fit on the screen, Fraps doesnt. So everytime this happens, Im forced to run on Borderless Windows, which fixes the issue. For most games, this issue occurs the first time the game is launched, and gets permanently fixed when i change the resolution back and forth ingame. For others, it doesnt seem to want to fix itself. I found a supposed "fix" for the exact same issue here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/111168-13-htpc-graphics-vsync-glitch-fixed although this didnt work for me. Anyone who understands what going on, please help. Thanks
