  1. This issue is persisting and affecting other games as the clock drops and locks to 300 mhz. I believe this issue is tied to the Nvidia equivalent of AMD powerplay from this video: Here is a screenshot of my HWmonitor.
  2. Ryzen 1700. I cap the framerate in the settings and have turned it off to test, it doesn't matter if capped or vsync'd. CPU and GPU temps are low. 60C max on each. It looks like it is downclocking to the 2D clock speed. I'm testing turning off and on wallpaper engine, but the problem with this issue is that it's completely random and only happens with this game.
  3. Specs in profile. Independent of gameplay, while playing WoW Classic the game drops from 120 fps down to 30's. The 'utilization' spikes to 100%, while the clock drops from 1380 mhz to 580 mhz. Already tried: Addons disabled. NVIDIA power mode in the control panel. Vsync toggled. Temps are low.
  4. Forgot to add: I cleared the CMOS every now and then between switching parts. There's a button on the back IO, I took the battery out, and I switched the onboard shorting switch of 3 prongs.
  5. x370 taichi, ryzen 1700, hyper x fury 2666, gigabyte gtx 970, corsair rm 750 My computer was running fine beforehand. I was installing a hyper 212x cooler on the cpu and then it wouldn't post. Dripped some thermal compound (cooler master) on the board but only on the plastic. Post debug code b2 (misread initially as 62, but it's b2). I went through the process of reseating the cpu, ram, and gpu. My computer boots sometimes now and stays on but need some time to see if there is an issue of crashing. I found this thread on it and a few others. Is it about the boot device? Or is it about the gpu slot? I have my windows install on an m.2. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?92442-Q-Code-Error-Code-B2 Just wanting some input. EDIT : The problem hasn't come up now that I upgraded to a new graphics card. So it was either a seating issue (I did reseat it) or it was some weird glitch with the GPU ROM initialization for my particular system.
  6. What I'm interested in is making sure that downloading a game doesn't soak up all of the bandwidth so that it kicks people off their multiplayer or voice calls.
  7. I have a 100mbps line, and there's a router setting for limiting downstream bandwidth. Does this limit the entire connection to say 70mbps or prevent single users from going over 70mbps? There's no QoS setting so I'm not sure.
  8. @Sauron @Beer_Nontitju @Syntaxvgm @Cookybiscuit @Misanthrope Cardboard cutout corporate pandering from AAA game studio gets lauded as noble by a bunch of dweebs who call any disagreement/criticism sexist. NEXT. Really doesn't make sense why they didn't just make her Russian, or French, or add any context whatsoever to the train-wreck Michael Bay trailer. I bet they did in fact know the media storm it could create and that's a major reason for it. Character customization is a multiplayer game trend to sell you cosmetics and they're actually doing it for money under the guise of feminism. Maybe some stupid individual kool-aid drinking developers actually believe historical revisionism isn't as cringey as it looks, but the marketing/publishing side of the industry is using this moment purely as a tool to fill their wallets. And they get applause for doing so! How brave they are! Compelling story set in the eastern front or in China/Japan? Nope, but now you can play as someone with a vagina and also please spend money on this hook arm and gun skins after purchasing our super deluxe $120 edition of a game you've already played 2 years ago! When a developer is literally going "I'm engaging in historical revisionism because talking to my daughter about real stuff is hard" on Reddit, the franchise really should just die. The games have always been romps, but this is straight political pandering. Women in the US/Britain weren't allowed in front line combat roles. A one armed Brit with face paint running around the battlefield is just the cherry on top of the ADHD fest of a trailer. I didn't play BF1 because the weapons were outlandish for the time period, and now they're making a WW2 game right after finishing one. They had a chance to apply some tact in BF1, and they had their chance to authentically place women in modern military positions in BF3 + 4.
  9. Yeah I went ahead and moved to qbit and used a script to move everything over.
  10. damn... uTorrent 2.2.1 isn't even susceptible to this if I'm reading through posts correctly. Fearmongering ruining a perfectly good client.
  11. I would, but B75 doesn't support overclocking. Unfortunately I started with a budget build that only included a dual core and then bought the unlocked 3570 for $15 more thinking I'd eventually upgrade to a different board. By the time I had discretionary income a lot of the Z77 boards online, without risking pre-owned on ebay, had jumped in price. And if I bought a new board I'd have to sell the old one. It was easier to simply adopt a new system and pass down the old one.
  12. Just posting benchmarks at stock speeds out of the box before overclocking. I sidegraded to a Ryzen 7 1700 build and passed down my old components to my brother. Old: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H HyperX Blu 16GB(4x4) DDR3 1600 CL10 Intel i5 3570k @ stock 3.4Ghz 3.8 Turbo Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB New: Asrock X370 Taichi HyperX Fury 16GB(2x8) DDR4 2666 CL16 Ryzen 7 1700 @ stock 3.2Ghz Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB 3DMARK Metro: Last Light (3570 on top) Witcher 3 Novigrad Run (3570 on top)
  13. Maintaining high framerates for 120 or 144hz is a realm for strong single thread performance. If that's your goal then it's probably a good idea. Unless I'm misinformed.
  14. Still getting this, but found you can solve it by using Win + R then shutdown.
  15. Here you go: They all regurgitate the same headline without regard for damage done to someone's reputation. Being called a child molester is different from "having sex with a minor" and I simply don't agree that repeating the same line as all the other guys gives journalism a pass on that. Unless they go back and edit to remove false light, I disagree with this practice.
  16. Adult website. Prostitution still illegal in the modern era. Girl lies about her age. Guy who would have gotten a charge for filming without consent can now be charged with "child pornography" due to a broken legal system and the lies of a thot. A M E R I C A. It's really funny that some dunce is moralizing in here about premarital sex. Probably the same sort of person to spout off some shit about how great and free murica is while it still has ass backwards legality on consent and child porn. Fix the laws? Nah, then the police and prosecutors would have to put effort into their work instead of charging teens who sext with child porn. edit: lol that title from one article. "Counter-Strike video game co-creator Jess Cliffe arrested for sexual exploitation of a child" LOL
  17. Yeah, noticed it at random when I just so happened to check task manager. 10GB of RAM but no disk usage seemed strange.
  18. People keep saying it'll settle down when proof of stake comes around, it won't because miners will just switch to new coins like they already do. In order to create new production it would require billions of dollars in investment, won't happen. Yields wouldn't even change until new fabrication plants were built. The only hope for mining to die is for government regulation to finally end this nonsense. Several small countries worth of electricity being used to power volatile monopoly money used by criminals. Digital fool's gold. High end gaming adoption from new buyers/upgrades is stunted for at least the next 5 years.
  19. Oh, so no resale value back to the increasing PC gaming market once you cash out or this bullshit monopoly money crashes? So basically worthless.
  20. Title. Happened after a recent creators update. I'm getting audio from videos in youtube playing when I haven't logged in to my PC. Checked my power settings and I always select shutdown.
  21. They are gaming cards. Their driver updates are tailored for gaming. They are marketed for gaming. As I said and you haven't refuted, there are cards available that are designed more for mining, but miners aren't flocking to them because they know they can cash out by selling these GAMING cards back to GAMERS.
  22. Take so hot it melts through tank armor. Ramping up production for a volatile fad that rises and crashes is a stupid idea. Miners are blamed because they are buying multiple gaming cards and specifically gaming cards instead of the "mining" cards since gaming has a greater resell value. They are disturbing an established industry that has no viable way to counteract.
