  3. Try the micca mb42+lepai amp..the speakers produce 75 watts from each channel and are remarkably small for their price, make sure you buy a 12 v 5a power supply for lepai amp for best performance..
  4. hd 650 definitely need a dac+amp, depends on your budget if you are on a budget try the fiio e11 and schiit modi dac, audio engine d1 is also good for the money..there are many portable amps and dac availabe check amazon and headfi for reviews and buy them..

  6. Get the tackstar HI 2050 and attach a mic to it..it's an open headphone that costs 40$ and rivals the sound of q701 quincy jones headphone..
  7. If you go from normal headphones to gaming headphones you will be very disappointed, schiit amp is mainly designed with normal headphones in mind, try the Tackstar Hi 2050 headphone and attach a mic to it..rivals any gaming headphone under 300$..
  8. Just buy the Tackstar Hi 2050 for 40$ and buy a 100 dollar headphone amp...this will be beat any headphone under 200$
  9. Sennheiser mommentum inears and ATH IM70 has some great reviews and they are both under 100 dollars,i am not familiar with Canadian dollars though...also check out Klipsch s4 in ear,i am currently using one and it sounds very good at 60 dollars it is worth the money, but if you can test them before you buy some people have problem with the klipsch in ears not fitting properly.
  10. 10 more dollars and get the shure se 215
  11. Getting a DAC+amp combo like Schiit MODI&MAGNI can make your editing life easier if you own a studio speaker or headphone that is..and yes a good dac+amp(soundcard) does provide better audioquality than MAC,if you want to make it worse go for Asus or creative usb soundcards..just kidding:)
  12. For 200 you have to search very hard to get better than Schiit Modi DAC+magni AMP,however if you are buying it for powered speakers go for Schiit Modi alone, also take a look at audioquest Dragonfly 1.2

    ATH M20x?

Take a look at Tackstar HI 2050,you can get them for 40-50$,sound is awesome for the price i recently ordered it and is waiting for them.Sound is equal or better to ATH M40X that i purchased for 100
  14. I agree soundmagic E10 is good earbuds for the money. If you can stretch the budget a bit to 80 you can get Shure se 215,if you can't afford shure take look at Klipsch s4,i love mine although i have issues with them not fitting properly in my ear when running and walking maybe you will have better luck
  15. Have you seen Micca MB42? it's very small,if you want smaller there is Micca Club 3,it's not as detailed sounding as Micca MB42X but still beats any speaker at similar price https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nX-i4gidrBE
  16. First of all don't buy a soundcard, dedicated DAC+AMP give so much better sound quality. If you are on a budget try Schiit Modi DAC+Fiio E11 the sound quality is just unbelievable with M Audio BX5 D2 and ATH M40X
  17. It is not rocket size, you buy speaker cable from online with speaker, connect +ve of speaker to +ve of amp,-ve to -ve and you are done.If my 9 year old cousin can do it,it shouldn't be so hard.
  18. You can get Micca MB42X+Lepai...will beat any 150 dollar speaker outthere..Monoprice has a speaker that has better sound quality but it is twice the size of Micca.
  19. Your Grandpa is selling headphone to you instead of giving it for free?..weird,anyway 80$ seems like a good deal, take a look at tackstar hi 2050 if you are looking for good soundquality headphone that has good value
  20. If I had to choose between an amp and a soundcard.I will choose an amp.I know soundcard is technically an headphone amplifier bit you know what I mean...audioengine d1 vs asus sonar u7
  21. There are 3 types of headphones on ears, closed and open headphones,on ear headphones is portable but uncomfortable for long use, closed might be tiring for hours of use, open headphones while comfortable will not prevent outside noise from entering,i suggest you go for open for open or closed type headphones. ath m40x ath m50x grado sr80i tackstar hi 2050(50$)-new value for money leaders.
  22. I am planning to use my micca mb42 stereo as rear,m audio bx5 d2 as front,a polk subwoofer and emotiva fusion 8100 av reciever which is only few av recievers that supports both 7.1 preamp and 7.1 amp.
  23. No just the 20 dollar leapi amp is enough, you need speaker wires for about 1 dollar and a rca to 3.5 mm cable so that you connect your pc to amp.
