Hey, I recently have been experiencing some problems with my segate barracuda 1TB HDD, I have it as a back up ( i run my OS on a kingston V300) i might actually have some hope in saving this lovely HDD if you just want to suggest a good 2.5 IN HDD skip to the next bold text about the like "guidelines" and questions about 2.5 IN HDD in general my case is the NZXT H440 ( i would highligy recommend if you need a good mid tower) and in the front i have a thick 360MM rad so all of the drive caddies are useless, so I put my drive in the bottom, this worked great except the fittings in radiator interfere with the drive (by like 1/2 MM) (see the second picture for refrence) so I just filped the drive over and then it fit, except you cant screw it in that way so i used Velcro, However there is some nearby cable management loops that block the drive from being secured from the ground, so essentially the drive is just kind of hanging there only secured on 1 side and free floating on the other (refree to the first picture) I think this is causing it to fail. is there any other place I can put this drive (ghetto mounted obviously)
I was wondering if the WD squared is a good option?
are 5400 RPM drives slower, and are the much more quiet?
what is a good 2.5IN HDD?
