  1. If you have a Windows license and just want to share movies and shows on your network, Windows 10 Home will work just fine. Add the two HDDs (Windows RAID or hardware RAID) and share that. If you want DLNA (media sharing) you can activate that too, then right-click on the folders and add the folders you want to Video library. For more advanced web services you need Win 10 Pro.
  2. If by "second hand" you mean "no warranty", but it is unused or < 1TB writes, than... YES.
  3. OEM drives are sometimes different than retail ones, e.g. SM951, which has different (worse) NAND chips compared to 950 Pro. They're not an official product, so they don't exist (for Samsung). They're not supported by Samsung software (Magician, Data migration sw).
  4. There's no need for Google Fiber. In many parts of EU, 1 Gb/s lines at reasonable prices are already here. I have a 500/200 Mb/s FTTH connection at home (with no data cap) that I could upgrade to 1 Gb/s for only 3 USD/month. But since I mostly use wifi, I don't even bother...
  5. Since when is G2A legit? Those are MSDN keys sold by people on G2A Marketplace; so it is just a key that will expire usually after 1 year, not a licence.
  6. I had one of these, the T100TA with 64 GB flash and no HDD. It sounds like a good deal, but it's really not, because ... reasons. Reasons: - poor quality control. Mine came with a dead pixel almost in the center of the screen; - the back is made of really (really) cheap looking plastic; - the screen res is 1360x768; - no 3G (unless you plug in a USB modem); - no camera on the back (only the crappy 1.2 Mp front cam); - no usefull apps in the Metro App store; - using desktop apps on a 10" touch screen is not a good user experience. I have more, but I think that's enough. I sent mine back.
  7. That Mercedes S320 CDi, with that crap G-Tronic transmission, has massive turbo lag. If you put a bigger turbo you just increase that (and that's bad). It's a heavy car, a diesel with automatic transmission; not really meant for track days. You can't polish a turd. And by that I mean: leave it as is, drive it, enjoy it. And BTW, it's a diesel... How do the "bigger spark plugs" increase performance?!
  8. Tp-Link WR1043ND v1 doesn't have NAT acceleration (the "hardware NAT" function). Only v2, WDR line 3600 to 4900 and (of course) C5, C7 have that. It says Gigabit on the box because it has a Gigabit switch, but it's not capable to push Gigabit speeds over PPPoE. http://www.tp-link.ro/article/?faqid=465
  9. Is the router v1 (the white one) or v2? If it's v1, just buy a new one (like an Asus AC56U) and keep the old one as a network switch (or sell it).
  10. Linksys WRT1900AC. LOL!! Just ... don't! Something good and somewhat cheap: Asus AC56U. Same hardware as the Asus AC68U/ Netgear R7000 (dual core A9 800 Mhz cpu, 256 MB RAM), but with internal antenna and only 2x2). Netgear R7000 has the same Broadcom CPU, only clocked at 1 Ghz.
  11. Plus the licence is not valid anyway, because you violate the EULA when you buy the key.
  12. Don't do it. It a waste of money. How long it takes to download... it depends on your internet connection. The official Win 8.1 FPP ESD kit (.iso) is 3.2 GB.
  13. 500/100 Mbps (Dl/Up) FTTB+Eth. to the home (~15 USD/month) Asus AC56U router + Cat. 6 Eth. cable to the PC http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3837404659
