Here are the things it needs: Good battery life It has to be fast enough to run simple applications like Word and Chrome and iTunes Here are the things it doesn't need to have: Disk Drive I'm not putting a price limit because I don't want to limit the recommendations. Thank you guys for responding so quickly!! 1. I'm in a budget of around $2000 in the U.S. 2. The system will be used for graphics-intense gaming and photo/video editing 3. I plan on running one monitor, preferably around 27-36 inches at 2560x idk resolution. 4. I do need a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and windows 8.1 I don't need speakers but I do need a sound card because I am going to buy speakers later 5. I'm upgrading because I have a Macbook pro with retina display that plays games like shit and I'm tired of playing games on low settings through boot camp. I also want a Windows-dedicated computer.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, but I think it's very helpful so far. I'm going to college and I have around $2000 to spend on a gaming rig. I'd love it if you guys could help me out on what I should build. Also, I'd like to play on really high settings if that helps. My favorite games are: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Just Cause 2, Age of Mythology, Age of Empires III, GTA IV & V, Star Wars Battlefront I & II, Borderlands II, Saints Row The Third, Minecraft, and Bioshock Infinite. I'd love to play other new games, it's just that my laptop is shit at playing games. I'd also love it if the rig is powerful enough to both edit photos in Photoshop and edit videos. I love this laptop because you can play older games on DVDs. Playing games from my childhood is very fun and it's awesome that this laptop has a DVD drive built in. YOUR CHANNEL ROCKS
