Holla So I have MBO: Asus Maximus VI Formula CPU: Intel I5 4670K Cooler: Corsair H110 GPU: Crossfire Asus R9 280X DC2T RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB 2133 MHZ PSU: CoolerMaster Vanguard 850W Yesterday everything was working fine. I checked Asus page for new bios and new one was there 1102. I flashed it using Ai Suite III ( Using EZ update ). After successful flash reboot was needed. And BAM, windows didn't wanna start up. Tried lot of things, didn't work, so I installed new Win 7 64. Crossfire doesn't work since that flash. Everything is installed way it was yesterday, but for some reason second card doesn't show any GPU usage, temps are constantly at 30 C. I swapped cards, tried each one on it's own, tried in second pcie line. No clue what to do anymore. I reinstalled drivers. Can you suggest anything ?

4870 is old Ati card, not Intel processor.

I have stock 4870 in my rig. So anything that is quieter is awesome. Also i got myself Audio Technica ATH M50, closed head phones. And they work fkn awesome. I didn't hear door ringing next 4 m away from me.

If you put them on 1000 rpm they are silent enough. They are better option then 100i coolers.

Bad caps. PSU gets very hot and fan don't start blowing until 60% of load. Way to solve this is to flip PSU so fan is located up, so some heat can run out of box.

Okay peeps I am in dilemma. I made 2 rigs and i cant decide what to take. I know first one will work perfectly together but i am not sure about second one. Will all components fit together. So first rig looks like this : Only thing I am not sure about it is PSU, if needed ill go for 850 one. Second rig looks like : So : 1. Will 2 Matrix cards be able to be placed on Formula VI with enough space for them to breath ? 2. I was looking on benchmarks and power consumption of 1 Matrix on one site is 420W and second 290W. Not sure maybe first one was whole system. Will PSU be enough ? If it is enough will Coolermaster V850W be better option ( Japanese caps, generally lot better PSU ) 3. Is it justified to get those 2 matrix cards over normal DCII ? And if you have any other idea. plz say.

Looking at RM 550 and RM 650, it will be RM 650. It has lot more cable conections and comparing it to HX series it might be 100€. HX 650 is 110 €, RM is step lower and hope for 100€.

140 - 115 $ on ebay. So it will probably be same in €. Maybe cheeper (hope so).

Talking about Corsair, Linus just unboxed RM 850 . There is RM 650 too, fully modular. It will probably be avalable at time of new ati relase.

Well Tiny Tom got his to 5.0 at 1.25 V with h100. So 0.4 less might be reasonable.

Well yea it sucks. I dont need to buy everything at same place, but i am shipping it from Germany so i dont wana pay double fees. From rewievs it seems like h110 is good enough. Ill get it to 4.6 - 4.7 and keep it there. No need for higher. P.S . I dont mind it

Hello So I am finishing my uni in few days and I'll reward myself with nice config. Well this is how it should look like. Can you please check things work nicely and will PSU be enough for config ? Only thing that is bothering me is wait for 9970 or get 780. From rumors going around 9970 might be stronger than Titan, but i am not sure of its pricing. If it is close to 600€ - 640€ ill wait. If it is higher ill get 780 ( TF or Windforce one ). I am aware that R4 can't handle H110 properly, but modding front panel with few holes will do job. What are your tought and ideas. Thanks

1. I am running Seagate st3500320a 500GB ( that famous one for huge problems ) as main hdd. Second one is Samsung F3 1TB and third one is some old Hitachi 320GB. Why do i use them ? Well I like to have lot of space, so i generated all avalable hdds and stack them. Soon I will buy new computer so inside there will be Samsung 840 EVO 250gb as boot drive, Seagate and Samsung for storage. Hitachi will go with rest of old config to nethyews. 2. Have facebook but dont have friends that care about tech stuff, so there is no point. 3. Dont have twitter 4. Bricked lesbian butt plugs. .
