The i5 6400 is a way better option over the FX 8350 in terms of performance and power efficiency. It's also more recent.

I currently run a dual monitor set-up with a Dell U2414H and U2312HM and the U2414H looks absolutely stunning. The color production is great, viewing angles are very good with the IPS panel. As for gaming, I don't feel any input lag with either monitors. They're great for my everyday gaming with CS:GO, League of Legends, and Blade and Soul.

Definitely, you won't regret it if you catch it on a sale. Usually, Dell has their own sales during holidays and their monitors get marked down by $100-$150 usually. I got mines on Boxing Day in Canada for around $250, which is pretty cheap if you convert it to USD.
