    There is also a noise factor. Being that this is a silence optimized case, it makes sense that there isn't a spot for a disk drive. I removed my disk drive a few years back and haven't had a need for it. I boot my OS off a flash drive if I need to reformat. I also have a good enough internet connection to download games and not have to wait much time. If I ever do need a disk drive, and external drive works fine.

    There is not much point of buying a AM3+ board now and waiting to get a compatible processor for it later, since that platform is already dead. If I were you I would either look into the new AMD APUs, which are coming really soon or if you really need some more performance out of your system I would recommend going Intel. Considering the fact that what you do is mostly gaming and rendering a 4670K and a decent Z87 motherboard will be perfect for your needs. If you have some extra money to spend an i7 4770K will perform even better in rendering and streaming.
