  1. Really who the hell uses that site as a forum? Just use it for what it's made for, an incredible pc planning and buying experience.
  2. Or just go into the bios?
  3. Just listened to bruce say "[60fps] is just people always wanting more" wow...
  4. Yeah how weird that an unreleased operating system has bugs. But really we have no idea what kind of bug fixing they have behind the scenes and they may not even be releasing every single one in every preview. And such a simple thing such as detecting a NIC should be easily patched, no?
  5. Yep thats what i did, went G3258 and now on my Xeon 1231v3. Got that sweet sweet hyperthreading at the cost of an i5. Going AMD at least right now means an extremely limited upgrade path, one that even at the highest end cannot match the gaming performance that intel has.
  6. Yeah i had one X12 for few months. Was unhappy with the sound quality and then it snapped after 6 months. I wont be buying another turtle beach product.
  7. Just overclocked my R9 280 from i believe 940Mhz to 1000Mhz and was wondering how much more power draw this would require from my PSU (approximate), without changing voltage settings. I mean, it doesn't make sense to get more performance without needing more power, so im assuming there will be more required. But im also not increasing voltage, so would the power increase be marginal? or significant? thanks for any help. ah and it looks like i made an error in the title. Im not changing the voltage, im changing the core clock.
  8. oooooh SHIT. This looks to be exactly what i needed, thank you!
  9. I've got a 120GB ssd as my boot drive "C" and a 1TB hdd "D" as my mass storage device. And the performance with this setup is fantastic. The only downside however, is that whenever i want to install a new program, it will default to the C drive, and since storage on my ssd is limited, i have to change it to D drive manually every single installation. It might not sound like a big deal but to me it is. And then there are the times where i forget to choose "custom installation" and miss the change install location, or even worse there are applications that wont even give you the option. So what im trying to do is install windows on my ssd but name it D drive and my hdd my C drive. is this possible? And if so, would there be any conflicts in the system? It's been a while since i installed my os and i've forgotten a lot of the options available, or if this is even worth the time. Any help appreciated!
  10. I doubt it's the anti virus. Same with windows updates it comes with its own specific name. Not just "system". Assuming this is the built-in windows defender.
  11. The xeons are also clocked slightly lower (depends on the model but in most cases) and cant be overclocked. But they are significantly cheaper and perform equally on equal clock speeds. For example, the 1231v3 Xeon vs i7 4770 are pretty much identical, yet the 1231v3 is $60 cheaper.
  12. Ok thanks for the recommendation. And yeah there are other decent options out there but when you limit the selection to media keys AND tenkeyless, there's not a lot to choose from.
  13. Ah shit, ok i guess ill have to spring for it. Just was hoping for something that wasn't $100+. Have you experienced any problems with the keyboard so far? Media keys too hard to press or are they smooth? Just want to get a bit more info on it before i buy it.
