  1. What about people who only need a stand for 1 pair of headphones, not two? What about people with wireless headphones? What about people who don't unplug their headphones and don't need cable management? ... These are just some of the examples that make the winning design unpractical. And combined with the fact it looks horrible, it's un-buyable for me. Not to mention that a more simplistic and smaller stand will be easier to manufacture and most probably cheaper. Literally any other design of these would be better. We've seen Linus' pile of headphones... I can see why this stand will be most practical for him, because he has like 50 pairs to store. Two at a time will be better. But most people don't have 50 pairs. I agree with @stephen_flav (and many others who also said it) - this should've been decided by more people than just Linus. Even if it was just the people @ LMG. I'm really disappointed
  2. I really don't see the point of this chart you posted. Everyone can go to a store and look at 4k and 1080p TVs (with various sizes from various distances) and figure out if they see a difference. I trust my eyes more than your chart I don't really like the attitude: I don't think that's helping anyone. Also, I think it would've been nice if you added a link to the original source. I personally see a difference and probably will be buying a 4k tv a couple months down the road. Feel free to stick to 720p if you want to, I don't mind
  3. Ok, thanks, I'll keep that in mind
  4. (whew) Thank you! I was so panicked when I saw the temperatures with prime95 I didn't even think of trying another tool  So, temperatures with other tests: Cinebench CPU: 56 degrees max Intel ETU: 66 degrees max HeavyLoad: 67 degrees max AIDA64: 76 degrees max Does this mean that everything is OK and I can basically keep calm? Can I try overclocking? Thanks again!
  5. Hi guys, I recently built a PC for the first time. Everything seems to work ok (surprisingly ), except the CPU cooling. Here's the build: Motherboard: Gigabyte z97x-ud3h PSU: Cooler Master V850 CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k (running at stock speeds) Case: Fractal's Define R4 RAM: 2x Corsair LP Vengeance 8GB (1600 MHz) Still waiting for the graphics card to be shipped, but it'll be Asus GTX780 DirectCU II Cooling: CPU: Arctic Cooling Freezer i30 2x Fractal's 140mm intake at the front 1 Cooler Master 120mm intake at the bottom 1 Cooler Master 140mm exhaust at the back So, having assembled the whole thing, installed OSes etc, etc, I finally got to running a stress test. I wasn't worried because the CPU was idling at around 30 degrees (and as I'm writing this I'm seeing its at 23-24). Running prime95 with the Blend test seemed okay to me - it ran from mid 60s to high 70s at most. Running prime95 with small FFTs though really shocked me - it immediately goes in the mid to high 90's! What's interesting to me is that Core #0 always runs the hottest - goes to 100 degrees, and with each core the temperature goes lower - Core #3 runs below 90 degrees. I tried reseating the cooler (& reapplied thermal compound), but practically nothing changed. Judging from the distribution of the thermal compound after removing the cooler the first time, I think it makes pretty good contact. The second time I put more thermal compound (worrying that the first time maybe I didn't put enough) - some of the cores run like 2-3 degrees cooler. So... There's clearly something wrong and I really have no clue what to do next. Any tips, ideas and suggestions would be really appreciated (I'm kinda worried ) Thanks, George
