  1. Yeah I definitely tried the little pin hole. I'm just hoping it's not a bad motherboard issue
  2. I came into a Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th gen recently, friend said I could have it if I could fix it. Would love to use it for on the go photo editing work. For some reason, it boots fine when plugged into power, but shuts off immediately when the power is unplugged. I thought it was a battery issue, so I changed the battery out but the problem persists. The battery reports that it's charging fine. Any ideas what the problem may be or how I might fix it?
  3. I can try it, but I really don't think its a power thing.
  4. So I recently purchased a Elgato Wave 3 usb mic. When I plugged it in for the first time it didn't work right. I had it plugged in with the connected cable, going from the mic's Usb-C to my PC's USB type A plug. I decided to try plugging it into the front panel usb-c on my case and that seemed to work. Digging into it further, I unplugged all my usb connected devices and tried only plugging in the mic with the original supplied cable, and the mic works flawlessly. However, after plugging things back in, my keyboard (Corsair K95 RGB PLATINUM XT) would stop working. For some reason I cannot have my Keyboard and this Elgato mic plugged in at the same time, unless I use my front panel USB-C connector. Any ideas why? Could they just need to be using a different USB controller or something?
  5. Thanks! May just be going all corsair then.
  6. Does anyone know if the Fractal Design Prisma AL-14 PWM 140mm fans can be hooked up to a iCUE Commander PRO controller and used with the iCUE software? Trying to make a purchase decision.
  7. I mean if you have the money for the build go for it. I've heard people complain about the airflow in some NZXT cases, so I'd just watch out for that.
  8. Been rocking the pro toolkit for the last year and it's had everything I've never. Feels good and quality. Used it yesterday to swap a switch shell and fix my joycon drift.
  9. You'll be fine. Those aren't terribly demanding. Would even suggest a 3700x, especially if you can overclock it even a little
  10. Honestly think it would be fine. What are you trying to run with it?
  11. I currently have an LG 29UM59A-P that supports USB-C alt mode. I was trying to use my Pixelbook with it and the monitor registers there is an input before the no signal message appears and it goes into low power mode. Is there a certain cable I should be using to make this work?
  12. So I have an MSI B250I Gaming Pro C. I want fit a 500 GB WD Drive. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-NAND-500GB-SSD-WDS500G2B0B/dp/B073SBX6TY/ref=sr_1_13?crid=1STZ34Z0SV9XN&keywords=500gb+ssd&qid=1550026663&s=gateway&sprefix=500%2Caps%2C201&sr=8-13 Would you guys be able to help me figure out if it is compatible?
  13. My friend and I are debating about the keying for the m.2 on my motherboard. It is an M key. If I buy an SSD, with an M+B key, would it still work for me?
  14. I'm looking to build a new rig and give mine to a friend. One of the things I want is front panel USB-C. I'd prefer to stay in my micro atx form factor but mid towers are cool with me too. What are my options as far as cases? my searching is yielding few results if any.
  15. alright then i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
