  1. I think I found the real problem... After messing around I realized my MOBO is asking for the OS from my Hard drive, but can't find it. So it goes to my USB ports like "Hey, maybe I'll find it here because this is where it was first installed" however it's not there. Currently, my father has my USB with the OS on it somewhere, so I'm leaving it until tomorrow, boot up from the HDD, plug in the USB and install the OS back onto it with hopefully not losing any of my files. How did the OS vanish? It remains a mystery... The whole PSU case wouldn't make sense as it has enough power to boot up the whole system, fans, LEDs, etc. Thanks for the help though!
  2. Hello, last night I was left my PC idle while I was doing other work, and I had no problems. When I was ready to call it a night, I turned off the computer. The next day (today), I turn it on and the Start up Screen (attached in files) keep looping on my Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard and I'm pretty much lost now... I reassembled the whole thing just now and I'm getting the same issue. I can enter the bios or boot menu, but have no idea where to go from there. All it does is show the screen, load the animation, turn black, and repeat however in the bottom right corner there is lettering. It changes from "A2" to "9C" and repeat, but most of the time it's not there. Really need some help here, I can provide more pictures or information on my computer specs if needed, but thanks for your time.
  3. For sure! Thanks for the help, I'll let you know the results tomorrow If I don't break anything.
  4. Core clock only goes up to 1 GHz - also I switched to your skin as it tells me ALOT more information. So I just increase from 10 MHz from here until I hit 40(ish) temperatures at idle?
  5. Oops! Been so long I forgot, followed. Not neccessarily wear out my card, but just give it a small boost for the on coming months until I get a new GPU. You know what I mean. Alright, I'll give it a shot, by how many intervals? And what do I slide up?
  6. Hello community of LinusTechTips! It's been quite awhile since I've been on here, 6 months to be precise. Anyway, in a few weeks my PC will be about a year old and I think it's about time I overclock my GPU to wear it out until I save enough for a better card which will be most likely the 900 series. I opened up MSI Afterburner and Core Temp and I have no idea were to go from here... Excuse me if I'm a noob at overclocking but we all got to start somewhere. Providing the specifications below, I need some suggestions on what to increase in MSI Afterburner. These are my current settings for MSI Afterburner and my PC temperature running at idle. (Yes I know I need to upgrade my cooler, and GPU eventually): http://i.imgur.com/GznDhcw.png Specifications CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor MOBO: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB TWIN FROZR PSU: EVGA 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Cooler: Stock (Since my Hyper 212 EVO Broke) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower I'd appreciate it if no one here trolls, I just need a little extra "UMPH!" from my PC currently. Thanks for the help guys, I looked at some guides and I am completely lost already - including the database...
  7. Yeah figured, that if it transfers to the case and monitor, and not the MOBO it has to be the PSU... I'm going to take it apart probably this weekend, and check it out... Thanks for your help though.
  8. Like I said, the LED light is NOT there anymore... I checked my manual, and all it is an "MSI Light" The Debug LED, in which would light up incase it is wrong (Looks like an "88" when unlit) is not lit up. It's as if power is going towards my case, and monitor, but not the PC itself.
  9. It's not flashing anymore, but it was under my GPU - somewhere around the JAUD pin connector area, maybe slightly above that.
  10. Hey guys, so after 7 months of owning my PC - it just suddenly stops working, before I take it apart, I want to check if I'm stupid enough to be missing something obvious. I had my YouTube and Steam opened, until I got a phone call from a friend who asked to hop on PS4 to chill out. So I do, and I just turn off my monitor, leaving the computer on. 2 hours later, (now) I try to turn on my PC and it's not working. Here is what is happening: The PC TURNS ON this includes the fans, and one light on the MOBO lights up (Audio Boost). Then I realize a Blue LED is constantly flashing over and over again. So I turn off the PC, and turn off the PSU. Boot it back up, and the Blue LED is gone, however the fan and Audio Boost light remains the same. None of my GPU, or CPU Cooler Fans work. Monitor is completely fine and working, just doesn't recognize any source of input being in... Here is what I tried: Unplugging it and plugging it back in... Turning off my PSU and Back on again Turning the PC off and on Replugging DVI Cords, and everything else really (No, I don't have HDMI on my monitor) Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

  12. Earlier this year, a investment call implied that AMD would be launching a new line of GPU's in Q2 2015 (April - June). Today, AMD confirmed on Facebook that the GPU's are on the way very soon which is most likely Q2 of 2015... Announcement soon? I think so... They replied to a user that asked if they'll be out before GTA V on PC and AMD replied with this: "Hey mate, We don't have an official date to share just yet but the second we know, we will definitely announce it on Facebook... We're still putting the finishing touches on the 300 series to make sure they live up to expectation. Can't wait to reveal them though. We're pretty excited." Who's excited? Original Article Here
  13. Canada, my room is ontop of the garage.
  14. Fixed... I took out my PSU to a warmer room (as my room is about -5 degrees Celsius) and booted it up manually. I let it run for a bit, and turned it off. Inserted it back into my PC and it seems to be working fine now.
  15. Do you have an example of this? I use a power bar outlet, and everything works fine on it except for the PC.
  16. Hey guys, I just recently returned from school and my PC won't turn on... I tried turning off the power supply, re plug the cable, turn it on, and nothing... I looked under my power supply to see if the fan suffocated and there was barely any dust. Then I try turning off the power bar it's outlet is connected to, and back on... Still doesn't work. Please help me out, should I open it up and check the components? My monitor works just fine. How can I check if something is broken? Is it something on their part? I've only had my PC for 3 months now... EDIT: It was working JUST fine last night. *Yes, I did check the thread in this section... Nothing helps... I haven't checked the power supply yet.*
  17. Please read this topic before posting... A link to what you have so far would be nice, but it seems like you're trolling.
  18. Alright, before you say "Why not build one?" It's not for me... I already have one built, and I have my own laptop for school work, but just recently a friend brought up the subject of wanting a brand new PC. Unfortunately, they want portability over performance which means they need a laptop. I'm not that much of a PC genius, so building one is out of the question. Aim: School documents, and mid-tier gaming... Budget: It'd be nice if you could do 2, or choose one that is as cheap as possible... One $600 - 800 and one $900 - 1000. Location: Canada (Don't worry about it though, use US sites if comfortable.) Preferences: Don't mind the manufacturer... Just please don't be a troll and recommend Alienware or Razer... Thanks for your time, cheers!
  19. I don't fit the requirements, but I love you... Put me in there plz. <3
  20. I won't be, I still got some games to download in my library. Those games can wait, besides... I need pocket money for GTA 5 on PC. I hope there will be anyways, Lord Gaben needs more money to swim in.
  21. That was the fall sale, was it not? I already picked up some great games from that. Judging from last year, it was late december.
  22. It's been 3 months since I've had my PC... Never went over 70 degrees. In fact, it's at 32 right now. I use the stock fans, and a Hyper 212 EVO, and I always game, edit, and render. Overall, if you're worried (If you buy it), get some better case fans, and you should be good to go! I really enjoy the case, sexy looking too.
  23. Hey guys, the Steam Winter Holiday Sale is right around the corner, and I was wondering... What games are you planning to pick up? What is your budget? Are you planning to help a good friend out, and pick a game up for them? 1. Looking to get CS:GO, Arma 3, Shadow of Mordor, and maybe another early access game or Just Cause 2. Who am I kidding? I'll buy more games than that if I overspend... Ones that I won't even play! 2. I only got a budget of $100... I gotta make it count. Until I overspend to $200, then $300.... 3. Maybe, but I I already bought games for my friends in the summer sale, so probably not... It's about time they return the favor. I mean... Be nice and share those Christmas cheers! Please be respectful to others, as they enjoy the genre of games they play... We're here to just share our plans. Treat others how you want to be treated, please.
