  1. I was playing battlefield 4 , having an amazing run in metro and out of nowhere after a headshot, bf4 crashes and everything is frozen so I restart my PC cause I couldnt get anywhere. After this reset , my monitor does not work at all. I have tried resetting 30 times , pulling the plug and holding the power button etc. I have linux dual boot and linux strangely works , monitor and everything .I used my TV monitor with HDMi and windows boots so I doubt it is my R7 370 . Please help?TL;DR : Was playing battlefield 4 , PC crashed , monitor doesnt work exclusively on windows but works on LinuxSpecs:CASE » SilverStone Kublai KL06PSU » SilverStone Strider Essential Bronze 600 WMOBO » ASRock H110M-HDVCPU » Intel Core i3-6100RAM » Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2400 8 GBGPU » PowerColor Radeon R7 370 PCS+ 2 GB GDDR5» SSD 128GB PlexorMonitor » iiyama ProLite E2282HD-B1» USB Wi-Fi AdaptorI haven't had a computer for a month, sorry. SO, let me give a low down of what Ive tried Steps taken :-Uninstalled and Reinstalled Drivers with DDU in safe modeChange DVI cablesRe-installing windows Power cycling Now, after all that I took my PC to the shop and they took a look at it . They said that my PC would work with other monitors and my monitor would work with other PCs so they can't RMA cause it's not a manufacturing defect. They took it for 3 weeks.Returned it giving me a DVI to vga adapter with a vga cable and telling me that my PC would work like that. I took it home and it worked and I didn't mind using VGA that much . I went to sleep, woke up and I got another issue where my screen flickers after 5 minutes of use, then turns on and off repeatedly till it gives up and switches off. I took my monitor back and they told me they'd test it and it apparently worked on their PC for a whole week without a single flicker . Also I forgot to mention, My DVI port on my monitor is completely unresponsive now.I am bringing it an electrician today to check my circuits (I think my ground wire broke and I am just convering the idea of varying electricial current.)Also I noticed this today, I booted Shadow of Mordor today really quickly on boot up and I could see deterioration. Like the flickering you'd notice when you record a CRT with a camera but with lighter colors. The black in the monitor was not black .it was ...light black?
  2. I will do this when I get back home
  3. The port works on Linux so port and monitor is not dead. I have booted into windows via HDMi , so I doubt its the gpu. (I plan on buying a VGA cable later today to test if VGA will work). However I tried disabling AMD via BIOS and my monitor stil refused to boot
  4. Yeah but atleast ur monitor works :'( . I can't game at all until I manage to fix my PC
  5. Please clarify on how that would solve my issue?
  6. tried completely removing and roll backing . Didn't work
  7. The thing is the monitor is not dead because it works on Linux . Only windows seems to be ignoring it

  9. It just decided to fix itself , randomly ..... tf ? Computers are weird devices .... anyway thanks for the suggestion
  10. I dont have an ethernet cable on me , so until I got and get one (possibly tomorrow after my exam ), I'll let you know how it goes
  11. That is such a long and troublesome solution , any other ideas but I will put it into a possible answer... any other ideas?
  12. Not a possiblity... One router and I kind of share it with my house mates and its out of my room also an Ethernet cable would involve me making house modifications which I highly doubt my landlord would be happy about.
  13. I overclock my R7 370 to the max ... its fine ... I agree and you should most likely change the thermal compound and then maybe we can see what happens from there
  14. I built my PC recently and the internet was pretty quick and everything worked fine. However as of recent, my PC has been getting less speed and in some instances completely completely being ignorant and constantly giving me DNS Probe no internet on google chrome . The wireless adapter I use is a USB one D - Link DWA-160 , my wireless adapter on my laptop started having issues so sometimes I need to use it, if I dont want to restart and I do not know if this is improtant but it happened a couple of days after I started using it on my laptop for a better connection. The adapter works fine on my laptop getting me around 1MBps (which is what I paid for). I have tried a lot of netsh commands , turning router on and off, forgetting and retyping password for router. and restarting my PC. The specification for Oreo are : Case : » SilverStone Kublai KL06 PSU : » SilverStone Strider Essential Bronze 600 W Motherboard : » ASRock H110M-HDV CPU : » Intel Core i3-6100 RAM : » Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2400 8 GB GPU » PowerColor Radeon R7 370 PCS+ 2 GB GDDR5 SSD of which I forgot the details, 128gb Monitor :» iiyama ProLite E2282HD-B1 Mouse: Razer Ouroborous Keyboard: Sharkzone K20
