GMS12121's Achievements

  1. I replaced my case fans with noctua nf-a14s and my temps are slightly lower, but it's a hell of a lot quieter. So in short, if you crave quietness then yes.
  2. It has a backplate, therefore you should be fine. Just watch for it sagging over time, if it starts touching then you might have to do something about it.
  3. Well I have some old broken thermaltake gaming keyboard that I refuse to replace because it works and I'm poor and a razor deathadder 2013. Not the flashiest peripheral setup, but it works.
  4. I have switched my h45 to the back of the case and the GPU temperatures have improved by a few degrees. The CPU temp went up by a little bit too but still pretty good. I bought an nf-a14 second hand for really cheap so hopefully that helps a bit too.
  5. Damn if I knew shoe boxes could do all that I wouldn't have thrown all mine away :-P
  6. Well now after buying it and using it for a couple of weeks with the fan running at 1100RPM and only getting to a max of around 60 degrees C, I'd say it's really good. Although the fan isn't the quietest thing ever.
  7. My worry is less with temperature, than that the GPU gets really loud trying to stay cool, I was thinking that maybe putting a better fan on intake would make it run cooler and quieter. The current problem with the front fan is that it appears to struggle to pull air through the front intakes, whereas the h45 has no problem at all.
  8. I recently purchased a P400s and stuck a h45 cooler in the front with my i5 4690 and GTX 980 ti SC. The temps on my GPU get to around 80 ish degrees C, and the fans spin up pretty high. The case fans on it seem to be pretty pathetic from holding my hand in front of them, so is it worth changing them out for some other fans? And suggestions would be great
  9. Generally the best way to find them is to filter by reputable brands then find the cheapest with a 3 or 4 pin plug. I think 4 pin ones might be more expensive though
  10. I have a phanteks eclipse p400s. Cheap(ish) and fancy
  11. I recently bought a corsair H45 liquid cooler, and I've just noticed there is one youtube video on it ans d like 1 or 2 internet articles (Not even corsair themselves have anything). Could anyone explain the seemingly radio silence on it? I'm slightly confused.
  12. So since the GTX 1080 is now available, the second hand market has been completely saturated where I am. So I found a GTX 980 G1 for NZD$550 (USD$382) is that worth it for the price?
  13. Hey, I'm planning to upgrade my current phone (Moto G 2013) to a higher end phone in the next week. I'm looking at getting a moto x style/pure but here in new zealand it hasn't been released yet. I was wonderingg if it is worth holding out for the Moto x or if I should just go and buy a LG G4. Will i be disappointed? Any help would be great, thanks
  14. Yeah that helped, its using system memory when it runs out on the GPU.
  15. The extra memory is shared system memory. So if it runs out of dedicated VRAM then it will use RAM from my understanding. Mine shows 6110MB total
