  1. Nope, I was just guessing it was a nice "upgrade" to later sell my kit with a more attractive mobo. The MCE seems like a nice bonus, afaik Asus boards oficially support it. I don't know if audio card/lan card is even better than my current mobo.
  2. Yup, a Gigabyte B85m D3H with over 4 years of use + $25 for an almost brand new Asus VI Hero
  3. Thanks. What about multicore enhacement? I read that ASUS boards have that feature that forces the CPU to boost al cores to turbo. Considering that I will get a very small "OC", like 200Mhz, is it worth it to pay $25 bucks for this motherboard?
  4. Hmmm sure I can BCLK OC the 4570? That sounds really interesting since I have a "decent" cooler (212 EVO) to cool the CPU and a good enough PSU (Cooler Master VSM 550w). Can I achieve 3.6Ghz or more with it?
  5. Thanks, is it worth it even without the 4790k? In my country those are hard to find and very expensive.
  6. My current PC has an i5 4570, 16GB 1600Mhz and a GTX 1080. A friend wants to buy a build with a practically brand new ROG Maximus VI Hero. He says he will take my mobo + $25 bucks for the VI hero. Worth it? Thanks.
  7. Hello lovely community, my current pc is this one i5 4570 & B85MD3H Gigabyte 1151 Mobo & Hyper 212 Evo 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz GTX 1080 AMP! Cooler Master 550w V-Semi Modular PSU 256GB SSD & 1TB HDD 1080p 60hz IPS Monitor A friend is selling his i5 8600k + z370 Strix + 16GB Corsair Dominator 3000Mhz for $580 (i'm in mexico) Is it worth it? I mainly game and I plan on buying a 144hz monitor. Thanks
  8. Hello! Currently I have an old build (i5 4570, 16GB DDR3, Hyper 212 EVO) paired with a not-that-old GTX 1080. I'm saving some money, projecting that the poor 4570 won't cut it. But I see that prices are high as hell. I only need CPU, Motherboard and RAM, since I already have a decent SSD, case and Power Supply (CM V550 80+ Gold) What do you recommend? Should I wait for new CPU's so I buy one without hardware bugs? Currently I have a 1080p IPS monitor, planning to upgrade to VA 144hz. Thanks.
  9. Thanks! My main concern with selling is the inflated prices, only 1050-1050 ti tier seems to have "normal" prices. I got kinda lucky with that 480 and 1080. I was thinking on buying a 144hz 1080p VA monitor, just to have the smoothness. Is 1440p-60hz better due higher resolution? I don't know about next generations, but in my experience XX80 cards stay kinda strong for another generation or two, so I feel kinda safe with the GPU now, but it's uncertain.
  10. Hi! I have a weird story. I exchanged my GTX 970 for an RX 480 a while ago (January 2017), then sold the 480 for $320 and bought a brand new GTX 1080 for $510. Problem is, these are my specs: i5 4570 (3.4 Ghz Haswell 4 core) 16 GB DDR3 1600Mhz 256GB SSD 1080p IPS 60Hz monitor Seeing some benchmarks of BF1 I saw that even the i7 6700k bottlenecks with the 1080 Should I sell my 1080 (with these crazy mining prices), basically getting my money back and buy some low-tier GPU? Thanks
  11. Emm, no? Just a few states have issues atm (specially Puebla since 2 days ago suffered an 8.1 earthquake) and the common coast states with the hurricanes, afaik U.S.A. is having a much harder time. But in my state everything is fine, all services are up and running.
  12. Hi! I just sacrificed my RX 480, sold it for $340. I live in Mexico, most of the prices suck. My current system: i5 4570, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Cooler Master 550w 80+Gold VS Semi Modular PSU Monitor: IPS 1080p 60hz My options came down to this: New GTX 1080 G1 Gaming for $530-540 (RX 480 money +$190-200 investment) Used GTX 980Ti Xtreme Gaming, no box or warranty for $370 (RX 480 money +$30 investment) New GTX 1070 Zotac mini for $430 (available until October 7) Maybe I will upgrade to 1080p/144hz later, i'm not sure yet since I really like IPS monitors. What do you think it's the best choice? I mainly play CSGO, Overwatch, and some demanding games now and then.
  13. For an used 1070 yeah, if Vega 56 brings the same or more performance, with OC headroom and brand new for $400 I would really be tempted to get it.
  14. They're kinda expensive here I'm really considering the Vega 56, what do you think about it?
