  1. You're like an Iphone 6 Plus. Bending over as soon as you see tight pants.
  2. tested something now. i get 44-60 fps with everyting turned down as far as possible on 1080p 60hz... something clearly isn't normal
  3. i get 20 fps with physix and god rays off something can't be right there ...
  4. Volumetric fog, god rays, physx and vsync disabled and i still can't get over 30 fps ... Ubisoft seems to have gotten good at that... I can play the game, but i wonder if i really should have to turn down the graphics settings to txaa 2x, soft shadows (low) reflection normal and god rays, volumetric fog, vsync and physics disabled in order to get a minimum of 32 fps ...
  5. All Drivers are up to date and i already disabled god rays and physx as i read that it's badly optimised.
  6. So i finally downloaded Assasin's Creed 4, i've had it in my Uplay library since January this week. But i only get 15-20 FPS using GeForce experience setting recommendations. My Rig: Case: Coolermaster Stryker PSU: Corsair AX760 Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (using the newest Bios Flashback) CPU: Intel i7 3770k CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 GPU: Asus Gtx780 DC2OC Ram: 2 no name DDR3-1333 4GB Dimms HDD: Hitachi HDS721050CLA362 ATA Device (500 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II) Monitor 1: Samsung SyncMaster LC27A550U [27" LCD] Monitor 2: Acer P224W [22" LCD] (LEA0D0278501) GPU Temparature stays under 40 degree celsius. i've got about 15 google chrome tabs open on my secondary monitor. Can someone help me with my problem?
  7. Acronis seems like a good choice then ^^ i'll maybe wait for some more opinnions and decide ^^ I'll be sure to upload pictures of the finished build and say something about how silent it is and if it is what i expected it to be, however i don't know yet if i'll do a full build guide.
  8. So i've ordered the parts and they should arrive in about 2-3 weeks. Now that that's taken care off i'm searching for a good backup software which creates a new backup of certain folders on a daily base, it's important that it creates a new copy of choosen folders every time and keeps them saved for about 2 to 3 weeks. any recommentions? i've heard that "Novastor NovaBACKUP Pro" and "Acronis TrueImage Home" should be pretty good.
  9. i'll go with an external usb card reader then.
  10. I've just realised that i might not be able to use that PSU simply because of the Cables ... it has one Cable with 4 Sata connectors and one with 2 molex and 2 Sata connectors ... 2 SSD, 2 HDD the DVD-RW drive + the card reader each need one, right? which would mean that even if the 4x Sata can connect to the 4 storage drives in the bottom front it might still be hard or imposible to get the 2x molex + 2times up to the DVD and card reader bays... looking at the picture we see about how long the cables are ... the PSU is 170mm long i estimate the cables to be about 600-700mm long... according to techpowerup their lenghts are the following: SATA (550 mm+110 mm+110 mm+110 mm) SATA (550 mm+110 mm) / 4 pin Molex (+110 mm+110 mm) (i'm only worried about the sata ones) the cases dimensions are 531mm x 221mm x 495mm of course the cable starts at the end of the psu, 170mm into the case, a 5.25" drive is 203 mm long, making cathetus a (being the lenght of the case minus psu and drives) roughly 260mm cathetus b is about 450mm (height minus about the height of about 45mm from top, roughly where the first drive bay sits) using those we can estimate a hypotenuse of about 520mm ... but it most likely won't be able to run the cable straight through the back, due to other cables. so yeah it's pretty close i think... what do you think? keep in mind i'm talkin about the SATA (550 mm+110 mm+110 mm+110 mm) Cable here and the first ones are the sata ones. Ps. why does the (i guess) CPU cable have to be blue? it's literally the only blue thing in my completly black with a bit of red on the mobo build and of course there's also the PNY Quadro with a bit of green... '-'
  11. Yeah i'm using a Corsair ax760i myself. but i'd like to use a fanless one just for well... using one (i have weird priorities '-') so yeah if it power is sufficent, which i'm pretty sure but would like confirmation for, there'd have to be a really good reason to use another one.
  12. okay, thanks ^^ i've also added a card reader (Icy Box IB-865) 500Watts should be sufficent for the system, right? i would go with 600 or more, but they don't have any fanless ones with more than 500W <.< the Super Flower 500P14FG is fanless, half-modular and has an 80+ Platinum rating.
  13. I think i'll go with the 550D, would you recommend buying some aditional fans, or just using the stock ones and keeping the normally covered fan mounts closed?
  14. So i called the tech support of said CAD program today, they said Quadro or FirePro either works fine, but they usually use Quadro. So i decided to put a Quadro K4000 in. the build as i plan it as of now: Mainboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII Ranger CPU: Intel i7 4790k CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer i30 Thermal Compound: Spire Thermal Kit SP -455 RAM: 2x8GB Kingston Fury Black Series DDR3 1866MHz GPU: PNY Quadro K4000 DVD RW drive: Asus DRW 24F1 ST SSD: Samsung 840 EVO Basic (2 times 250GB in Raid 1) HDD: Seagate Constellation ES.3 (2 times 1TB in Raid 1) PSU: Super Flower 500P14FG (Fanless 500 Watt) I still havent decided on a case. Opnions are: Coolermaster Silencio 550, Corsair Carbide 330R, Corsair Carbide 400R, Corsair Carbide 500R, Corsair Obsidian 550D or Coolermaster COSMOS SE. I just listed the ones that looked like they would be silent... Could be any other Case from http://www.steg-electronics.ch/de/articlelist/pc-gehaeuse-49.aspx (beware: german site) Ignoring the price, which one would you go with for a quiet Workstation? i could also switch out Fans for Noctuas or something else. Ps. I love how the last replies all adapted to the websites i linked. Awesome Community!
  15. any opinnions? or recommendations for a quiet PSU?
