(Almost) Painful Mistake #3: Video card in the second PCI slot, covering the South Bridge heat sink. The saving grace here is that on this particular mobo both of the PCIe 2.0 slots are 16x wired. So all I'm really doing is setting the I/O lower than it probably needs to be.
