Pc boots but does not display

The PC I built boots but will not display any image on my monitor. The PC worked before then I changed the graphics card from an evga 970 to an msi 980ti and got a new monitor a 1440p Acer free sync 144hz monior. The PC will no longer display an image but boots as all the lights and fans are clearly working. I have attempted to clear the cmos to reseat the graphics card and test the ram one by one. Nevertheless I am still having serious trouble just wanted to give this site a shot before I took it to a PC repair company. Thanks very much hope you can help. My email is adzzkasper101@gmail.com

either way it could just be a graphics driver

First off, throw it on the forums (more people there) and see what they say. I would check to make sure the cable for the video output you're using still works and if the monitor isn't dead. The gpu could also be having probs, such as it could be doa (dead on arrival) or display connectors may be faulty or not working. Best of luck! pm me with questions if you want.

Move Your GPU To Another PCI-E Slot If You Have More Than 1. And If That Dosn't Work, Look For A VGA or DVI Port Directly On The Motherboard, try that, then install drivers and re-attach your VGA/DVI/HDMI Cord To Your GPU.

Go through the menu on your monitor and be sure you have the right input source selected. (This was the solution for me...twice.) :)
