Alright guys, as promised, I have finally compiled my personal experiences with this game and have made a post about how to get it to run like this.

As everyone has probably realised, well, at least those who have attempted to run Watch_Dogs on their monster rigs, it is a horrible mess on PC to say the least.

However - along with Tony MBR's updated Maldo textures, some in-game tweaks, and, best of all - TheWorse 1.0, this game has been running like a dream for me.

All I want to accomplish with this thread is to provide people with the same excellent experience as I've had with Watch_Dogs after a considerable amount of time messing with the game to get it properly optimised.

I apologise if anyone already knows this information - but for all of you who don't, I really hope this helps!

Here as just a few screenshots of what I've been able to accomplish. If you're wondering about my personal system specs, just look at my sig rig. Also, I've installed this on my main boot-drive which is a PNY XLR8 240 SSD. For some reason, it feels like textures get loaded a bit quicker (placebo, perhaps??).

So here you go, some eye candy to get this started: (Scroll down to below screenshots to find out how I got this level of performance).

STEP NUMBER 1:

So, the first thing I did was download

Once downloaded, follow the instructions EXACTLY! Please remember, if you decide to make changes, please make sure you re-install the mod each time. Don't worry, you'll know what to do once you read the instructions.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Do not use the High Bloom mod! It washes everything out and makes the ambient light VERY bright. Use Low Bloom+High Fog.

STEP NUMBER 2:

Once you have the mod installed, start the game. Go into the graphics options and select High Textures, NOT Ultra! Maldo has created the High textures to be the Ultra, but without certain features that bog down the game. They're not necessary features. For more details, refer to the steam community link from above.

STEP NUMBER 3:

If you experience extreme stuttering like I did, simply put the game in BORDERLESS WINDOW MODE! Although you might see your framrate go above the Vsync rate, don't worry - Windows itself runs synced to the monitor, so even though you might see more than 60FPS, you will still not experience any screen tearing because of Windows' vsync. Please forgive me for my lack of technical expertise - I'm not sure why exactly this is, but I do not get any screen tearing because of it. Make sure you have no more than 2 buffered frames set in the options at all times.

STEP NUMBER 4:

Enjoy the heck out of this beautiful game!

No more stuttering, pretty solid frame rates, and over-all an excellent experience with improved visual fidelity thanks to Maldo and TheWorse.
