Why don't teenagers with the money time permission and resources they have use them??? a lot of them just spend there money on weed and booze or equally as stupid shit. the ones with the permission and resources within there own home don't use them! If i had as many resources and as much money and loose permissions/restrictions i would be using them to there full potential. it just frustrates me that i watch all my friends waste their teenage years when they are no more than 15 :(

I'm 18 in the UK and currently in college and the best thing about not being part of the crowd is the fact that you can sit back and watch people make mistakes like wasting all their money on alcohol and take pride in the fact that you have the sense to manage your money and resources properly, like in the future you will probably be able to see that the results of some of their actions when they're younger will leave them in a dead end job without any support from their parents and you'll be better off.

Over here as you go through Secondary School (High school in the US) the worse people tend to drop out of your life and by the time you get to uni over here you normally get left with people who have roughly the same views on life as you do or at least I hope.

Of course not saying that the occasional drink or social event is a bad thing either, they just have to be planned based on your budget and make sure you'll always have enough to live off, sorry if this is the wrong response you were looking for but it's the way I generally view things as I go through. :P

given that I'm 17 and never had a constant job, but still am able to afford a 1.5k rig, I would say that I'm one of the few "teens" that can handle money well. but I see what you're getting at. *cough* my sister *cough*

Don't let other peoples stupidity annoy you. Just laugh at them.

I know how you feel dude. In 8th grade some guys told me what they got for their birthday. One guy got an ipod, beats, a go pro, a nice watch and the others equally expensive stuff. I nearly had a heart attack calculating the cost of all those things. All I get for my birthday is like 20-50 bucks and a nice dinner prepared by my mom. Now those guys spend it on drugs and booze and other useless stuff. Total waste right? I guess the reason for that is they don't know how hard it is to earn money so they just waste it. Life seems to be unfair to some of us it seems. I find that the best thing is to just ignore the fact that they have more money because that's not likely to change soon so why waste your energy. Work hard to be better than them in the long run. Also, buying things you worked hard to get makes you feel so pimp. That's one feeling they may not experience.

I know what you mean about feeling better when you earn and buy your own things, back in grade 6 when the ipod 4 came out i bought it new for 300 and some bucks new and i felt like a badass for the next 3 years untill my parents got me a new phone, i guess i will have the better future.
