  1. Playing competitive FPS games and actually being competitive are 2 different things. Unless you have aspirations to be in an esports teams or be a highly skilled Twitch streamer, there is no reason to think that you need tools that makes you a better gamer. Pro gamers can use junk equipment and still eliminate noobs. Noobs can use pro equipment and still be noobs.
  2. There's such a thing as diminishing returns. Just because technology gets better on paper, it doesn't mean our human perception sees it. Like, going from 100ms to 10ms latency is huge. Going from 10ms to 1ms is almost imperceptible. From 1ms to 0.1ms is lolwhat. 60Hz to 75/90Hz is huge. 90Hz to 120/144Hz is huge. 240Hz? Nah, I see almost no difference. 8K resolution is such a joke when 4K is barely utilized to its full potential.
  3. 1440p is 77% more pixels than 1080p. You're going to be shocked at how much screen you were not seeing this whole time. I use a 4K screen and it's not that big of a "experience" difference from 1440p. Just lots of wasted white space.
  4. You can just go on their official website lol. 180 USD, but it's discontinued so you're going to see wild price variances in reseller prices.
  5. I barely notice the difference. However, 1080p to 1440p is a MASSIVE difference in general PC usage. Using 1080p is just pain.
  6. Sellers are free to sell products at whatever price they want. This is why you shop around.
  7. Damn I don't know how people can enjoy such large televisions. My friend has a 65-inch TV and we sit about 8' away... I swear it is too damn large and I am not able to fully digest the image when we're watching movies. I have the same issue in a different friend's theater room. He has a projector, so the wall is the screen, and even 15 feet away... I hate it so much. When I play video games at my desk on my 32-inch, I play games in a small 24-inch equivalent window. If I'm watching TV or movies, I do fullscreen and move away.
  8. Soundbars are not a waste of money and you completely ignore the OP's needs. They fulfill exactly what multi-component systems inherently cannot fulfill: they're a single unit, single cable, neat and tidy solution and take up minimal space. I love my 2.1 setup and I also love my Sonos Beam gen 2. If I had to choose just one, I would keep the Sonos Beam because I like having extra space. @memoryleak you can just pick up any Vizio, Samsung, Sony soundbar since this is purely for listening listening to dialogue. Modern television and films are mixed with a very audio high dynamic range which does not translate well to home sound, so having a center channel is essentially required if you don't have an excellent stereo setup.
  9. Kid… how do you expect people around the world to know what is available in your market or not.
  10. You're making it difficult for us when we don't know what vendors you're able to use, and what currency. RSL subwoofers. Otherwise, just pick whatever is in your budget. Typically people recommend that you spend at least $500 for a subwoofer, otherwise you're not really hearing real bass. The SB1000Pro is $600 in Amazon USA. I personally have an REL T5i subwoofer ($745 back in 2017) because the piano black gloss matches my speakers.
  11. Get whatever size you want. Both sizes are rated for the same battery life on Apple's compare site. https://www.apple.com/ipad/compare/
  12. Depends on what the OLED monitor is. What is the model name? I have the Neo G8 MiniLED (32-inch curved) and it's fine. Dark content looks mediocre on it.
  13. You need to tell us what websites and vendors you use. If Amazon is available, then tell us what sub-site. For example, Amazon.com is America and Amazon.ca is Canada. Otherwise, I am a fan of the full size Logitech K120 for office work.
  14. Keyboards don't make you a better gamer. Mechanical keyboards are inherently better than rubber membrane keyboards due to the ability to press down several keys (N-key rollover). 100%, TKL, 75%, 65%, 60% don't matter. The switch type kind of matters - if you're doing a lot of repeated button presses, you're recommended to get Linear mechanical switches. Specifically for gaming, you can get "speed" switches that have a shorter travel distance which means faster actuation. $50 is not a good budget for a mechanical keyboard. Just stick with what you have right now.
  15. It can get pricey if you look into studio brands like Aputure. Neewer is a solid lower-price brand and they have a 2-pack for $150 https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Packs-Dimmable-Bi-Color-Lighting/dp/B072Q42GXQ/ Otherwise, just buy whatever cheap panels lights and tripod light stands you can find. Elgato sells key lights and they're overpriced, but I won't deny that their slim designs make me feel envious lol. Plus there's software integration which may or may not be a positive. https://www.elgato.com/us/en/p/key-light
