  2. Hi, as the title said, is there any palit gpu water block for either gtx 970/980? because I bought them due to their price and if I am going for full water cooling in the future, I will need the water block for my gpu. is there any online shop that sells them?
  3. okay, i never read nicely =/ your build is quite okay though wouldn't be a bad choice
  4. hmm sorry for asking. is that corsair k70 color fully customize? and k70 is slightly much more expensive than SS apex though. I am not sure if it worth it, I might have to test it on spot. So a good wireless adapter could actually do well too? the wireless adapter I am using now often disconnect because of the weak receiver which I bought quite some time ago because it was cheap
  5. Hmm if 2133 really doesn't give any significant advantage then I think I might as well go for 1600! Thanks!! and for the keyboard, could you give a few examples of Corsair keyboard that you mention? I will get some hands on in the nearest store I could find. By the way for the connections part, it would be a mess because my pc is in my room and my router/modem is quite far which is in the living room area. This is why I prefer wireless connections
  6. sorry about that, not too sure of how PCPartPicker works because am trying to give the reason of choosing the parts though! I am not doing video editting but streaming might be. and I7 sounds cooler the 2133 ver compare to 1600 ver is minor different ( maybe 20 or 30 bucks? ) and I thought more is better so I go with 2133 I plan on doing some gamings and I like to browser around and watch videos alot. might have some streaming too. and thanks! that keyboard is really sexy though!
  7. Hi, For now I am still thinking about the specs of the build and still trying to figure out whether or not to take. I will list out the part that I chooses and reason for it. Please do give me some comment whether should I take or not for each parts. PC part : CPU = I7 4790k ( I was trying to take I5 4690k at first, but I figure out this I7 price not much different ) CPU Cooler = Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo ( as this is one of the most cheapest PPP I can get in my area) MOBO = Asus Z97-A ( quite cheap for price and support SLI for future upgrades ) GPU = MSI / Gainward GTX 970 ( by right should be getting the cheapest one and I have seen quite good reviews about Gainward products) RAM = RipjawsX 2x8GB 2133mhz ( I do open at least 20 or 30 tabs in chrome and some gaming though, so I think 16gb will suits my need ) SSD = Intel 530 120GB / Samsung 840 EVO ( I am trying to get the Intel one since I heard people said samsung one doesnt meet up to the specs the factory provides ) HDD = Seagate Barracuda 2TB ( for media files / gaming files should be plenty and cheaper compare to WD ) PSU = CM V650 ( as this is one of the cheapest 80+ Gold PSU that I can grab in my area though it is not fully psu ) ODD = Lite On / Asus ( any brand or cheap one, not really using it much though unless installing some stuff ) Fan Controller = NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller ( this is quite cheap but im not sure this is good for my fan or not though ) Case Fan = Noctua NF-S12A PWM x 5 Casing = Cooler Master N400 PC Peripherals : Keyboard = SteelSeries Apex Illuminated ( one of the most sexy keyboard I saw and I just went with it without thinking ) Mouse = SteelSeries Rival ( am one of the SS fans and trying to save some money without going for much more expensive mouse ) Wireless Adapter = not yet decide ( not sure what brand good though and might go according to prices ) Monitor = not yet decide 24"/27" I still need some comment on the parts I took whether will it work well with each other and will it be able to last few year until I add another 970 on it?
  8. i still need some idea on how to enchance the air flow. cause i worried about the heat. should i go for a corsair h80i?
  9. which mobo do u suggest for future upgrades tho? i would take it as a yes for z97-A SLI upgrades will not be that soon though!
  10. Hi! I might start building this gaming rig sooner or later but I have to confirm whether will it functions well or not though. I need some advice on this build. To be honest I am suck at editing skills or drawing skills or even software to actually design something. Yeah! so I used the most basic paint to draw the most "basic" blueprint. It is simple but it will draw my idea out and I am actually planning that it will most likely to look like that too. So I will attached some ugly blueprint below and list out the specs that I might be going for. ( note that this build will be going full on air cooling build as the water cooling build will be very costly in my country and it will ruin my plan for the budget though ) so yeah it will mostly be in this way but in a more "3D" look and the spec I will be going for is i5 4690 ( might be going for "k" version, depends on the budget ) Asus Z97-A ( for future upgrading for SLI ) Gskill Aegis 2x4gb DDR3 1600mhz 1TB Caviar Blue Samsung Evo 840 120GB GTX970 ( not sure which manufacturer to go with, still depends on budget ) CM V550S PSU ( or might go for Corsair CX 600, not sure yet though ) Up to 5 120mm fans and 3 140mm fans ( might go for noctua or spectre fans ) NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Control ( i only need a few fans under my control, and other can go by mobo and psu itself ) and some front panels buttons / usb ( still have to find where I can get them though and of course a table itself and a drawer to fit all these things inside. After getting all these then I might need to find someone to actually craft in those fan slot, ODD slot, IO slots and screws hole for mobo/fans. Please give me some advice on the build especially on the psu do I need a bigger one? do leave a comment and let me know what you think about this build! ( Notes : the drawer will be permanently locked and part of the table on the top will cut off and slide in a piece of tampered glass. It is to make putting in the parts much more easier. and also my room is small and I have another PC itself so this build is mainly to fit in 2 PC under one table. If this build succeed my old pc will be my storage pc )
  11. Recently I help my friend to look into his pc. I found out that his pc turned on well. The motherboard, power button and other component light up well. The only problem is that the display is not showing anything. I tried to change the cable from dvi > vga and the result still same. For your information, the cpu fan, 140mm fan and gpu fan is all running so I assume the power supply still working well. When i start up the pc, there is no beep sound or anything that I can use for troubleshooting. I guessing it was either the monitor or gpu failure. Anyone here can help me give me some other steps to try troubleshooting the pc?
  12. if you wanna go for normal quality like medium setting without spending much money on gpu and psu. i would suggest you to go with GTX 750Ti. The price per performance per watt is really amazing.
  13. 280 is better in performance and price but for nvidia feature go for 760.
  14. IMO, AMD do produce good cards. But I still prefer Nvidia cards over AMD due to the features / stability of Nvidia.
