Have you thought about the extra heat being generated? Can the existing cooling solution handle the extra heat? What I'm trying to say about this part is that it is not worth the money.
-
I would say don't bother with it. Even if you can give the 760M more voltage and more clock speed, how much more performance would you be getting? Would it even be worth it? And also, don't do eGPU on that either. It is possible to connect an external graphics card to the laptop, but you would not be able to fully utilize the connected graphics card due to the bandwidth of the mini-PCIe WiFi card connector having only one lane of PCIe in most cases.

Can you expand any one of the 2 critical Kernel-Power entries?

Are we talking about 2 different laptops here?
-
If you are someone like me who loves mechanical keyboard, I would totally do that to any desktop or laptop I use. But here's the thing, you are getting an Alienware 17, which is a huge laptop by itself, to use a mechanical keyboard comfortably, you would want to use it in front of the laptop and not on the laptop, so when travelling to some places you may not have enough space to do that.

Finding a MEDION AKOYA P7618 (MD 98580)

Thanks for sharing, but didn't turn out to what I thought it might be. You really gotta try your luck since you have a laptop which is not commonly found worldwide. -

Do you have a picture of the label on the bottom panel? -
I put some Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on my Clevo P650SG, it dropped temps by about 15°C, from about 90°C++ to high 70s on the CPU, and about the same difference on my GPU to about low 70s (Singapore is warm). One thing you have to be very slow with is the liquid metal syringe, too little force and nothing comes out, too much all of it comes out. A few months down the road, I just took it apart last weekend to take a look, it has mostly dried up, but there was also a medium-ish drop of it to the side, as I have put too much the first time round, so I just spread that drop back onto the CPU and put everything back together. Also took apart the GPU heatsink and found it is dry, so I cleaned it off and replaced with regular thermal compound as I have ran out of Conductonaut after using it for delidding my 7700K. And oh boy liquid metal is an ass to get rid of.

Can you elaborate on this?

How heavy is too heavy to carry around all day?
exercutor5 replied to killaDZA's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
My laptop weighs 2.5kg, along with its 1kg power brick. I've been carrying it to school for 3 years and have been complaining for 3 years about its size and weight LOL. My next laptop would definitely be a smaller and lighter one. -
As a simracer myself, I find Project CARS 2 and Assetto Corsa pretty much one of the most realistic ones.

Gaming Laptop Owners, How do YOU game ?
exercutor5 replied to a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Firstly, I like to have my laptop at an angle, so used to typing at an angle and provides better airflow for the laptop as well. I have my thermal compound replaced with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut, lowering temps by about 15°C across the board on the CPU and GPU. My CPU is kept at stock speeds, with about 45mV undervolt and +100MHz on the GPU core. specs in sig -

Did you set the preferred performance mode in Nvidia Control Panel? Change it to "Prefer Maximum Performance" in the global settings. -
What is Cyber Security / Computer Security? (School)
exercutor5 replied to Votivee's topic in General Discussion
Both, you need to have at least basic programming and networking concepts as your foundation, then moving on to more specialized ones related to Cyber Security like Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, Application Security, Networking Security, Intrusion, Detection & Prevention. In my first year, everyone in the IT school had to take the same modules, all the basics like programming and networking, regardless of your course of study, its only from the second semester of the first year onwards where you see specialization modules taking place. EDIT: Oh yes I also took IT Risk Management and Compliance, where we are all taught about audits, business continuity plans, etc. But with all the examples and lessons related back to Cyber Security.
