  1. And it also goes away after some time. But unfortunately new apps will show the faint silhouette so it's a constant problem.
  2. Yes, it changes constantly. The status bar for example has the 'burn-in', but the time and battery percentage do update with the faint silhouette.
  3. Is there a way to fix this problem, other than replacing the screen?
  4. The xioami mi5 doesnt have an OLED or AMOLED screen. It has an IPS, LCD screen.
  5. Hi guys, Since a few weeks my phone has been showing a very faint silhouette of the previous screens. This is a very annoying issue, and on some occasions can be extremely distracting. I have the Xiaomi MI5, 3GB ram, 32GB storage variant. I'm running the latest version Lineageos 14.1 on my phone, with the latest developer firmware from Xioami. Does anybody possible know what causes this problem, and if it's a software related problem? I highly doubt it's a software related issue though, since the faint silhouette is even present in TWRP... The weirdest part of it all is that the silhouette in TWRP is from before restarting the phone. Another possibility is that it's a problem with the screen itself. Hopefully it's not a problem with the screen itself, but who knows. Perhaps I have to tweak some software settings. I can provide pictures of the problem if needed. Hopefully somebody can help me with this annoying issue.
  6. Wow, just wow.... I checked AMD gaming evolved to see if it would work and this time it installed without any problem Are they really FORCING people to install this shitty program now-a-days. FFS AMD, step up your game
  7. My GPU is being recognized by the installer program. I enabled everything to be isntalled except for amd gaming evolved which I obviously don't want Could this have caused the issue?
  8. OS is up to date, and I disabled windows 10 driver updates through DDU to prevent it installing something it isn't supposed to install
  9. Yup, downloaded the latest version of DDU released on the 5th of september 2016
  10. Hi guys, I have a pretty massive problem: My AMD drivers won't install. Here's what happened: I had 16.8.3 installed on my pc up until 1 hour ago when I saw there was a new update; 16.9.1 I proceeded to uninstall the current driver with DDU in safe mode, and after that I tried to install 16.9.1. It gives me an error (which I'll add as a photo to this post), and I'm like: 'Hmm, that's strange, but I'll carry on with the installation'. So the installation continues, and after it's done it says the driver installation has failed. Pretty weird, but I reboot anyways, to be welcomed by no radeon settings at all. Everything seems to have been installed except for radeon settings. (when I go to MSI afterburner for example, it says I'm on 16.9.1) I then proceeded to uninstall the drivers again with DDU in safe mode and install it again; same error, same fail. After that I downloaded the old 16.7.3 drivers, and guess what? They failed too with the same error. So for some magical reason no single driver can be installed at the moment which is pretty infuriating. Does anybody know a fix for this? My specs: Reference Sapphire rx 480 8GB i5-6500 8GB ram Windows 10 x64 Hopefully somebody can help me with this, cause I can't do anything at all right now
  11. It's a pretty good pc for the games you play, and you can play bf and cod too. In my other pc I have a r9 270 and a fx 6300 (so your pc is slightly better than my other pc) and on that pc I can play bf4 @high settings 60fps, and Black ops 3 @medium settings 75 fps. All in all, not too bad!
  12. The fps in that demo was 60. I have the fps in regular games locked to 74, and it never exceeds that. Also, the range is only 48-75 (When I update the drivers to get 35-75 the screen constantly flickers when it goes under or above that mark, aka in youtube video's and other applications that are run in 30fps. More people have this problem and hopefully it will be fixed with an amd driver update)
  13. Hi guys, So I got a problem. For some reason when I turn on freesync, the tearing doesn't completely dissapear. You can see that there is less tearing, but it is still there. When I run the amd windmill demo you can see this pretty clearly. I found out that when I turn v-sync on too the tearing stops, and that the whole image looks cleaner. I'm not sure if I should turn it on though, and if it will use v-sync instead of freesync My specs: RX 480 8GB AOC G2260VWQ6 Yes, the display is connected with displayport, yes AMD freesync is enabled in the control panel, and yes, it does work (sort of) I made a video of the windmill demo in which you can clearly see the tearing isn't completely gone, and I'll add that to this post. Video of freesync demo Hopefully somebody knows if I should turn v-sync on, or any other fix.
  14. Ugh, probably nobody knows a fix, I'll just format the drive and reinstall windows. Hopefully it doesn't screw up this time
  15. Are you sure you connected the power button on the right connector and the correct rotation?
