  1. Do you have a multi-monitor setup? If you do, run Speccy and EVGA PrecisionX on your second monitor while gaming, and tell me what the CPU and GPU temps are when the crash happens.
  2. Because you asked if the SSD was fast enough for load time for gaming, but only games actually ON the SSD at all will benefit from faster loads. If you put your games on the 1TB HDD, they will still load at HDD speeds and have no benefit from the SSD. EDIT: Missed a comma
  3. 1. I wold recommend at least an 850w, but it wouldn't hurt to go 1kw if you want some headroom. 2. You might, but if you overclock the CPU, you shouldn't have a problem. 3. The 212 EVO is one of the best air coolers out there. You should have no problems, even if overclocking. 4. Yes, that is one of the fastest SATA SSDs on the market, but 128gb is a little small if you want to hold games. I have the same SSD, and just OS, programs, and documents on it (no games) and I'm using 94gb. I would recommend at least a 256. 5. That is plenty of RAM speed, don't sweat it. Hope this helped!
  4. Thanks, everyone for your help. I'm going to let things dry, I'll post back in 48 hours or so.
  5. One more thing, if I put my GPU in another system to determine if it's dead, will there be any risk of damaging aforementioned other system?
  6. Fellow Forum Members, Recently, my gaming PC (custom-built) had a run-in with a glass of water. It got knocked over on my desk, and about half of it dripped off into my top fan grille, while the tower was running. The monitor went blank nearly immediately, and I unplugged it from the wall within 5 seconds. I removed my HDD, RAM, Motherboard, and GPU and they are sitting on my desk to dry. It's been about 2 hours, and I haven't tried to power anything up. What would you guys recommend I do next? Thanks anyone for your much-needed help. Full System Specs: A10-5800K Arctic Freezer 7 Pro R2 Cooler AsRock FM2A75 Pro-4 EVGA GTX 760 ACX 8GB Corsair Vengeance 120GB 850 EVO SSD 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD Corsair CX600 (bottom mount, fan side up)
  7. I use a 32" 1080p TV as a monitor... connected with VGA. In all seriousness though, HDMI has some wicked input lag due to a TV's signal processing, VGA bypasses that completely.
  8. Try activating Windows via the automated phone system, which doesn't require an internet connection. Report back if that doesn't help.
  9. You can buy a legit Windows 7 Home Premium key from DNK13 at /r/microsoftsoftwareswap for a flat $15. Boom.
  10. This sounds like malicious software of some sort. Make sure your anti-virus is up to date, and download Malwarebytes free version and run a scan.
  11. I am working on building a file server, and I think I have an LGA775 board laying around somewhere, so this would be great.
