  1. LED backlighting is a cool feature which indeed impressed me. Why would I say no to media keys?
  2. I don't know much about the different types of keyboards and stuff. But I know that the Cherry MX is the best available right now. I don't care if it's Cherry MX or Mechanical or any other kind unless it is not bad. So you think I should go for it? I'm really least bothered about the mouse. Good or not, cool to me. The keyboard is the only one which I need a good insight on.
  3. I was considering on buying the CM Storm Gaming gear combo and I wanted to know the Keyboard quality, pros and cons, durability, and pretty much everything which will decide my final choice of whether to buy it or not. Mouse is not an issue, I already have a good mouse so I don't think I will be using the Cooler master one much. I didn't get the single keyboard offer anywhere in India due to which I have to go with the combo.
  4. Thanks guys for the updates. How about this one? MSi. Basically the same card. Link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127789
  5. I was checking on the HIS R9 280 3GB IceQ OC GPU. I wanted to know how good they were when compared to the MSi and Asus cards. All opinions are welcome. Link to the product : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161456
  6. Okay, I haven't used either of the cards. I haven't even checked the prices of both too. So it all depends on your priorities. The comparison between those two is here : http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1332?vs=1041 If you think that R9 280X is worth that slight difference then you can go with that.
  7. Well, correct. But I wasn't comparing. I was just suggesting that it would be better if he upgrades his GPU. Well, it should be within his budget too. So I suggested these two. Edit : For the Comparisons. GTX 780 vs R9 290 : http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1068?vs=1036 R9 290 walks away as a winner after a close call.
  8. Well, with a GTX 760/R9 290, I don't think you need to upgrade/replace it for like around 2 years. It should give you great performance till then. And I don't know that much of watercooling because I've never done it. But that video was more of the configuration rather than the Water Cooling vs Air Cooling. But finally up to you. But I would recommend a GPU upgrade.
  9. Well, I'm not a Cooling expert, but logically, Water coolers should be quieter than the air coolers. And I never said that it would increase performance directly. It helps overclocking, by cooling the CPU, thus increasing the CPU's performance indirectly.
  10. Good enough build, but I would recommend a water cooler. Would help you with the overclocking more than a air cooler would. And a better GPU. Maybe a GeForce 760? Or a R9 290? Would help you with the games. Will give you better FPS also. Edit : It would still be in your budget.
  11. No, like I was just checking with the difference between the regular and the 'X' version of the GPU's. Used the 260 as the reference. Thanks for the tip. I was also about to go with the FX[AM3+]. If I'm getting good performance for 3-4 years, I see no reason to not choose the FX series. Any computer will be left behind in 3-4 years with the new technology coming up. So I don't expect more than that. I guess FX FTW then. Thanks man!
  12. I would prefer Dual Channel. Worth $3. And if I'm going for the FM2+ then as you said I would definitely go for the Athlon series. APU is damn good for HTPC's. For Gaming, an Athlon paired with discrete GPU would be great. But that is the question. FM2+[Athlon] or AM3+[FX series]? That is one amazing explanation for the case problem. But case is preferred on the basis of looks and airflow as well as the features/capacity to hold different things together. By all these the Phantom 410 is unbeatable. I'm not saying your case is bad. I just said it looks bad. Anyways. Thanks for all the other items. I will re consider on my decision on the R7 260X and look forward to R9 280. One more question, What is the difference between, R7 260/260X. What is the significance of X? And thank you everybody who helped me till now and thanks in advance to those who will.
  13. Hey, Thanks for the suggestions. Thanks for clearing out the doubts about CM Hyper EVO. I guess I will go for it only then. Phantom is indeed a great case with a lot of features. About the AM3+, I might upgrade my PC again in like 2-3 years. That is the reason I'm thinking more about going with the FX series for now. But if the FM2+ is long term then no harm in going that way too. So I want an accurate answer which is nearly impossible to get with the rumors around. So I'm looking for a reliable answer. The Power supply is available for cheap and is 80+ Gold Rated. Rosewill do have some reputation. That is why I chose that. My initial build will do even with a 500W or 550W. But when you are getting 750W at a price of 550W or 600W one, why throw it away?
  14. Pretty nice build. A better processor, a better GPU. Impressive. The only let down is the case. To be honest, I would like if my case looked a lot more nicer, no offence though. And don't you think a dual channel memory kit would be better? Well, again, a nice build but I don't know whether I'm going with the Athlon or APU range with FM2+/FM2. I was just asking your opinions about which way I should go.
