Corsair H45 Struggle?

Hi.

So, I went through my graphs of my CPU today, found out while I was away, the CPU spiked up to 98C once for two seconds before going back down to 45C.

Oddly enough, 45C is idle for me, but the CPU I use is i7-7700K which has heat issues that I know of, just did not expect a sudden spike of that high, it runs at 4.8GHz aswell. Voltage being around 1.3~ish.

turn it a bit down and see if you still have the spikes,  otherwise you can remove the pump reapply thermalpaste and put it back on :) h45 might be a have a hard time with cooling a so hard clocked i7.

I have 6700k delid, and i dont put it above 4.6 ghz and 1.3 volt and i use a h80i v2 wqith push pull fans :)

Yeah, it also was a pain to attach aswell into my C70.

I want to get an air cooler since this liquid one is really loud due to the amount of heat it absorbs and sometimes the fan spins twice as fast for a moment when a heavy load comes through, thought of getting the second largest from CoolerMaster aircooler.

MasterAir one, but not sure if it'll fit in with the tall  Corsair RAM I'am using!
