Any GTX980 will perform the same, the added $100 for the AIO is not /exactly/ worth it. I'd wait to see what AMD releases and what the 980Ti turns out to be like. Either it'll be a better deal or the other cards will lower in prices to perform better.

Arguably, the R9 295x2 will outperform the 980 at 1440p, so will 8GB R9 290xs.

I would get the 980 hybrid. The reference cards are just... meh. You might need to wait a while for good non-reference 980ti's.

Wait for the 980 Ti. Its only a little bit and if you don't like it, the 980 is always there which performs quite well on 1440p.

That or you can also wait for the 300 Series from Red team. Your choice though.

The 980ti, if it exists and the rumors are even half true, will be the better card.  If it will be worth the extra depends on the types of games you play.  If you play a ton of older and less demanding games go for the 980.  If you like the new AAA eye candy games like the Witcher and Project Cars go for the 980ti.

Of course this is all speculation their may never be a 980ti, and if their is it could be months out.

I'd say wait till computex at the very least, we should have more details then, and the upcoming 300 series may shift the 980s pricing around.
