My Zephyrus M16 has been having shut offs and stuttering after 1 hour of gaming i have been monitoring temps they don't go over 95C. I tried the following fixes installing Intel XTU software to crank up the power limits with no avail. Could i be dealing with a deflective unit. I wish Linus would do a video of the performance and other things.

Hi guys, I have several problems with my new laptop. As mentioned in the title, the laptop is the Asus GA503. The first problem concerns the type-c port. I tried several time to connect my second monitor (AOC G2460PF) with the cable type-c to display port, but when I plug the cable in to the PC, this message appears: Display connection might be limited. Now on On the Asus website, I found that the type-c supports the display port connection and I don't know why but it doesn't work. The second problem concerns the monitor. This monitor is 144hz but when I use an HDMI cable that supports this frequency, the monitor goes only at 60hz. I tried everything In the last two and a half-hours: reinstalling the Nvidia and AMD driver, resetting everything, upgrading all the driver, going in settings and advance settings, hoping that I could have been able to change there the frequency, but nothing at all... The third, and I hope the last problem, is the Nvidia control panel. When I click the Nvidia control panel, the DISPLAY section does not appear and I don't know why. Any advice will be appreciated. Hi All, My brother needs a new gaming laptop and as he doesn't know much has come to me to choose one for him. I have currently narrowed it down to the 2 options below: HP Omen 15-en1000na for £1175 CPU- Ryzen 5800H GPU- RTX 3070 1tb SSD 16GB RAM 15.6" 1440p 165hz Display - 300 nits 1 Year Warranty OR ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 for £1450 CPU- Ryzen 5900HS GPU- RTX 3080 1tb SSD 16GB RAM 15.6" 1080p 144hz Display - 250 nits 2 Years Warranty I'm not sure which one to go for but think these are both great deals (all new). The issue with the Asus is the screen being 1080p and only 250nits and my brother doesn't use a monitor. The 3080 would is kinda overkill and seems like such a let down on a otherwise beautiful laptop. The issue with the Omen is the build quality and apparently the 3070 gets restricted resulting in it being a low performing 3070. Therefore is 1440p too much for that gpu? I guess i'm asking out of these 2 options what would you go for? Thanks in advance, he wants to order it today and i can't get my head straight

I recently bought a 2022 Zephyrus G14. I am having issues with the RGB keyboard which is not working at all. When the computer boots white lights turn on for about a second and then it turns off to the lock screen. After opening it I tried using Alt + F4 ```Aura``` keyboard which had no effect at all. Even the keyboard brightness buttons were not responsibe. Then, I did my research and added MyASUS app and Armoury Crate which did a bunch of driver update along with BIOS update. After that If I press ```Aura``` button then it is showing the different modes such as Static, Breathing, Strobing and the display brightness keys also work (I have attached its pictures). Did anyone else have this issue? I'm pretty sure it's a software thing cause if the lights were out they would not be on while booting. Let me know what you guys think?

Ok so it is not a problem, but I need some trouble shooting. I have Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 Ryzen 7 4800HS, GTX 1650, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD Model. You may know it has different System modes .Windows, Silent, Performance and Turbo. I did some of my Cinebench R20 Tests(I know not the ideal tests to do here) with Performance and Turbo modes and I saw that my Temps at Performance are hitting 95C. But in Turbo it is hitting 85-90C. I know it is obvious but the Fans are LOUD in Turbo Mode and also that the Power Delivery to the GPU and GPU are bumped up. I bought my laptop about a month ago and I want to use this it for about 4-4.5 Yrs, I watch this video and this guy disabled the the Performance mode (I think) and he makes an argument that it beats 'most' of Intel chips even in the Normal mode(which I guess is the Silent Mode) But it do drops Temps like 25-ish C. Ok so who wants to reduce their performance? (Am I right? lol) No one. and In Comparison to Performance mode the Silent Mode is WEAK. The Max I game on my laptop would be 2 Hrs on a stretch. So my Simple question is Should I do as the video says or do I keep the settings as normal Factory Settings that it came with(i.e. Performance while Plugged in and Silent while on Battery) to get longevity with my Laptop and so it doesn't Thermal Throttle after 2-3 Yrs? P.S.- The Screenshots are not while running the Tests these are when the laptop is Idle.

hello!! i’m hoping i can get some help, this is the current situation: a GA502DU (3750H and 1660ti Max-q) was bought , however when it arrived we quickly noticed that something was a little...wrong; every game we started up on it would get around 10 FPS. The game would initially start on 100+ frames and then within seconds drop to the 10 FPS and remain there. So i did the usual: Reinstalled Nvidia Drivers Checked Windows updates Reinstalled all drivers on Asus's website DDU and then reinstall Nvidia Drivers Reset windows completely Cried All of whih didn't help the situation at all. Through all these stages i kept my eye on the AI suite/Armoury Crate software that ASUS throw in with their laptops and noticed that, despite having the laptop in 'Turbo' mode, the GPU was sat the whole time at 300MHz, never budging. The VRAM would change accordingly, however the core voltage also wouldn't change; sat at a constant 612mV. Don't buy it? Please refer to attached media! As you can see, I have opened overwatch in the background, and have brought up EVGA Precision over the top, along with OpenHardwareMonitor. The VRAM responded accordingly, but the core speed stayed at a constant 300MHz. I'm starting to suspect that the GPU core is faulty and hasn't been soildered correctly. If anyone has any advice, or just suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

So my daily driver right now is a 2016 XPS 15 (9550), 6th Generation Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-6700HQ Quad Core, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD, pretty good even 3 years on I think? BUT... it's started over heating, isn't the quickest at encoding and gaming wise, bit of a wet lettuce. Just recently it's been crashing out on Premiere Pro quite a LOT too (just giving up, the same file works fine on the desktop). Given it's 3 years old I'm well within my rights to replace and we love a good gadget but it's looking likely £2.5 to £3k (UK) for something I would get an appreciable difference from (other than on gaming). My biggest use case is definitely editing and encoding on the move, 2nd is portability (it goes everywhere and is rarely on a desk) and 3rd is gaming (addicted to Satisfactory right now). I've always loved the Razer brand but the 2019 model is not getting a lot of love it seems, Zephryus calls to me but RAM wise I think I'm stuck at 16gb (I do 4k shooting several times a week and there's a couple of DBs running in the background, I like my RAM) so the M15 seems like a (bloody expensive) logical choice. Slim, i9, 32gb, decent SSD... But is it going to burn my legs off? Is there that much difference? Does MSI feature maybe? Anyone got any real world advice for me here? Many thanks in advance!

Hello everybody, I am going to be getting a laptop for college. I will be studying architecture - doing a lot of 3d CAD, modeling, and rendering - as well as some gaming. I am more focused on CPU power because of rendering, and the 4900HS or 4800H way outperform anything intel offers in and out of this price bracket. I need this to last at least the 5 years of my degree, so good customer support is a big bonus. I'm pretty tech savvy but you never know. Yes I know i could get more performance and portability by building a desktop and getting a separate thin and light, but I need power on the go, and transporting a desktop to and from campus (750mi away) via shipping or plane is a hassle. My budget is $1500 usd and I have narrowed it down to 2 models, but am open to other suggestions: ROG Zephyrus g14 4900HS, 2060 MaxQ, 16Gb Ram, 1Tb SSD $1450 PROS: Lighter, slightly faster cpu, more portable, 120Hz screen, Great battery life, USB C charging CONS: People say it has problems with overheating, smaller screen, more expensive, less upgradeable, no numpad, I've heard Asus's laptops are unreliable? Eluktronics RP-15 4800H, 2060 MaxP, 16Gb Ram, 512Gb SSD $1250 PROS: Bigger screen, Cheaper, more powerful GPU (2060MaxP at 100W vs MaxQ at 35W-60W i think), more upgradeable, numpad, better IO overall CONS: Bigger & Heavier, less storage, Unknowns(battery life, durability, brand rep, etc)* (Names are links to product page) *On paper the RP-15 seems like a better laptop, but the unknowns are holding me back. There are TONS of reviews on the G14, most of them positive, but I could only find 2 on the RP-15(one from Bob of all Trades and one from Notebookcheck). I dont like buying a product, especially something this expensive, without knowing exactly what im getting. I also dont know much about Eluktronics themselves other than that they are a small reseller of Clevo and other ODMs. They seem passionate and responsive, but I didn't really find much long term information about their customer service or products. If anyone has experience with either laptop, ASUS, or Eluktronics support I'd love to hear about it Thanks!
