So i run a mc server that uses a lot of marinadb connections. everytime i restart the server the marinadb value goes back the the default value(151). How to fix this? I run windows server 2019 standart MArinaDB came with XAMPP and i couldent find an option in my.ini

I am a student in college (not a very good one, thus why I'm here asking for help) and I will eventually be in classes where I will need VMware, but that is at least a couple of years out. Currently, I have no experience using virtual machines, but I'm in some development classes that I believe would be improved if I could host XAMPP locally in order to test my php/perl scripting without having to upload it to the student server (which is time consuming during scripting/debugging), so I've concluded that it would probably be best to set up virtual machine capabilities in order to install XAMPP (on Linux, in a VM). I don't have any experience doing any of this, but I think I can figure it out. What I'm wanting to know is which Virtual Machine software suite is most similar to VMware, but FREE, since I really need to learn VMware, but I can't afford it currently (even with the student discount). I don't want to learn a program that will make learning VMware more difficult due to the need to "unlearn" things that operate completely differently, so I'm trying to get whatever free VM software is the closest to VMware in usability/UI. What would serve my needs best? Virtual Box? Hyper-V? Something else? I'd like to stress that I have zero experience with any of this, and I'm just going by what I could find using google search. Am I over-complicating this? I tend to do that. To be clear: I'd like to be able to run php and perl locally on my PC (Windows 10, 64 bit) so that I do not have to upload my webpages that include server-side scripting to the server to see if they work because it is very time-consuming.

So I'm designing a website and serving it locally using xampp. I'm making changes to the page like the body background in css but it won't reflect the changes when I refresh the homepage. I suspect that my PC cached it so it's not trying to double check the correct background image. Is there a way to clear the history of the my localhost only so it will try to retrieve images every time I reload?

So I've been working with xampp for a while now, and I just got my mail server to work. I checked the ports in xampp's service settings, and I saw seven ports for mercury. As far as I know you only need three (POP3, IMAP and SMTP). What are the other four for?

Hello I am new to this forum, I am a freelance IT who specializes in software development and I have no faint idea on how I should start my own home server to store files and such. This server will both act as a testing ground for my projects and as a storage for all the other computers who are connected to the network. I was wondering what parts I should buy for this to happen. Do you guys have some recommendations?

Hi I want to open an existing Laravel project. The Project comes with a MySQL database. I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and I have managed to set up Xampp. I can now see the phpMyAdmin page if I visit localhost/phpmyadmin/ The project file and database are located at /home/USERNAME/projects/PROJECTNAME do I have to move the projects to a curtain folder or can I somehow make Xampp load this folder? I will be using Phpstorm and Datagrip to work on the project. I hope someone knows his/her way around Xampp. I somewhat know what I am doing but it's my first time setting this up so sometimes simple stuff is the hardest because there is no documentation. Hi! I am trying to host my own website so that I can show them to my friends. I have some html, css and javascript done for this site. BUT, I can't seem to understand how I do this. I tried to save my html file as php in "D:\WAMP\XAMPP\htdocs\MyFile.php". I then went to "localhost" on my browser, but it is looking like this https://gyazo.com/67d2a8b73b14cff569b4b2abddc8e0d6. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me google this problem, because I can't find a solution to my problem.

Hi, I am trying to build a system to run XAMPP server, more then 4 browser, 5-10 tab each, photo editing on cs5 (just converting to 1200px or like simple task), with 3 monitor, a movie or something played on background, u-Torrent .... Down the road I am willing to upgrade it for video encoding and gaming / steaming, maybe a cpu and a gpu upgrade. Have picked the system bellow ... I am in a tight budget, please help me to build. couple of month later will add additional 1TB of SSD and a graphics card. Do not need of SLI or Crossfire .
