I built the PC in September 2022. Recently when I work on Photoshop and CPU usage is a bit high, suddenly there is a very loud analog CRT tv noise type of noise that comes out for around 10-15 seconds. Then I immediately need to mute all the background music volumes to stop the noise. After 10-15 seconds, this gets fixed. I want to know what is the probable cause of this issue. Please note I only notice this when there is something playing in the background. If there is nothing playing, then there is no noise for that 10-15 seconds period. I also noticed that the noise is proportional to the volume level. If the sound volume is set to high then the noise is higher. If the sound volume is at 0 then no noise is coming. But if I play something in that 10-15 seconds period then I can hear the loud noise again. It is now happening every day and it is super annoying. Hey everyone first off, yes, I know there have been some threads on the internet and also here about this. However, I went through pretty much all of them and I think I tried just about everything suggested in there. I'm probably having a ground loop, but I am out of ideas on how to fix it without cutting off the ground from the speakers, as I do not want to risk getting electrecuted. So regarding my problem: I built my new PC a while ago and as soon as I started it up for the first time I noticed the static noise whenever the GPU load increases. I use an external audio interface (UA Volt 276) with KRK G3 ROKIT 6 speakers, connected via 2-pole-TRS (aka. mono 1/4" jacks). I already tried using 3-pole ones for the symmetrical connection that should in theory filter out the noise but to no evail. The problem is not from my audio interface, as I have already tried it with another audio interface (Native Instruments KOMPLETE Audio 6 Mk. 1), but had the same problems there. I also tried removing every device from the power or the usb connection one by one, but that didn't change anything except when I unplugged the speakers (duh). I also tried if it would make a difference if I plugged in the speakers to a different power socket, but it doesn't. Turning off the audio interface does not solve the problem, but pulling out the TRS cable does. Also it does not make a difference if the audio interface is plugged into the computer directly or via USB hub. The PC uses an MSI B-660A, an Intel i7-12700F, an NVIDIA RTX 3060 (MSI Ventus Dual Fan Variant) and 32 GB of Ripjaws as RAM, all packed into a Corsair 4000D. The PSU is a Seasonic FOCUS GX 750W 80+ Gold, and the estimated wattage is at around 494W (according to pcpartpicker), so I don't think it's a power issue. There should not be any leaky current, at least I don't feel a tingly sensation when I go over the computer. I also double checked if all cables are plugged in correctly, which they are. My old PC with an NVIDIA GTX 1060 and an Intel i7-7770 had no static issues whatsoever, but I really don't want to go back to that, especially since most of that system is over 10 years old by now. I am really out of options on what I can still do and it is really annoying. If anyone still has any idea, please let me know. EDIT: What I forgot to mention was that the noise is ONLY on the speakers and NOT on my headphones that are also connected to the same audio interface.

So I bought an Acer Galea 350 headset and I can use it with an USB converter thing(USB Gaming Box) where I can switch between three modes. When I use this converter i start to hear a quiet static sound and sometimes it makes everything sound ear rape until I reconnect it or it starts to blast a loud "explosion" type of sound until I reconnect it. When i use the headset without the USB converter everything works fine but i rather use it with the converter. I tried to reinstall the driver, the HD audio manager and changed from 24 bit, 98000 Hz to 24 bit 48000 Hz. It mostly happens when the CPU reach ~60%.

First Astro's got them for Christmas, opened them, got the software & updates. When I switched them on they produced a pretty audible static noise, that simply does not go away. So I have literally spent 6h+ doing everything to solve the problem, from cleaning/changing USB ports to switching off the wifi to testing them with every PC in the house. I consulted the Reddit forum r/pcmasterrace and got 40 comments of troubleshooting. Unfortunately I had already tried everything they said, so the only problem could be the headphones themselves, so I returned them (I had bought them from Amazon because I'm a stingy dumbass), and ordered a new pair from PcComponentes (the Spanish equivalent of Newegg). So they just arrive, I plug them in to charge, open the command center to make sure it's all up to date). Switch them on and boom, the static noise is still there, same as ever. I am so incredibly despaired to solve this darn static noise, just as on the Reddit post, I will award the user who manages to find the solution 1x Reddit gold. (Please somebody help, you can't see this thru the post but I'm currently on my knees hoping that somebody find the solution) Link to the reddit post I made:

When using any app that has anything to do with audio i.e. Discord/spotify/chrome or even Valorant sometimes there will be a extremely loud static noise randomly appearing and won't go away until the specific app is closed or sometimes requires a full system restart. I tried reinstalling the audio drivers, does anyone else have this issue?

So, I have been using Audio Technica ATR 1300 for last 1 year 10 months with a UMC22. Its my bday tommorow and i want to Pick up a new microphone. I really love the Rode podmic and i always wanted it ever since it came out. I cannot afford to buy both a Scarlet 3rd gen and Podmic. So for the time being, It will be Podmic and UMC22. Will these 2 work together at all? Or it the podmic as power hungry as SM7b?

Hi everybody, Recently I upgraded my PC and since then my active speakers (KRK Rokit5) have been experiencing hissing and static noise, this has been a noise that fluctuates in pitch, frequency and duration. It sometimes gets 'less' after a few minutes of doing nothing and idling on the windows desktop. But you can still hear a few beeps and hisses intermittently. Moving the mouse and or opening any program activates it again.(It can even be heard in BIOS when I did the update to 0806). So to summarize: When is the sound most active: When the pc just booted into windows When you move the mouse When you open any program When does the sound lower in freq and volume: 3-5 minutes after booting into windows, sitting idle. The sound does not fully disapear but goes from constant to intermittent (every 3-4 secs a little 'his/bleep' with a duration of 1 to 10 seconds) OLD setup: OS W10 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 2600k CPU cooler: Coolermaster V8 RAM 16gb Corsair Dominator ddr3 memory GPU Zotac RTX 2060 MB Asus P67 Sabertooth rev 3.0 PSU Coolermaster 620watt PSU SSD Intel 120gb SSD HDD 2x2tb WD Black hdd's CASE Corsair (old model) resembling the 200R Soundcard Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Speakers (KRK Rokit5) Keyboard Corsair K68 RGB Mouse Logitech G500 Screen Asus vg27aql1a Headphones Hyper X cloud II NEW setup: BIOS: 0806 (sound was even noticeable in BIOS, softly) OS W10 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i5 10600K CPU cooler noctua d15 chromax RAM 16GB Corsair DDR4 3200mhz memory LPX GPU Zotac RTX 2060 MB Asus Z490 TUF Gaming WIFI SSD Samsung 970 EVO 1tb M.2 PSU First used Coolermaster 620watt PSU now switched over to Corsair RM650X CASE Corsair 4000x Soundcard Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Speakers (KRK Rokit5) Keyboard Corsair K68 RGB Mouse Logitech G500 Screen Asus vg27aql1a Headphones Hyper X cloud II Here is what I have tried so far: Remove all USB devices/peripherals from pc, noise still active Plug in other mouse and/or keyboard, noise still active Plug computer and speakers in multiple different outlets and power strips(all grounded), noise still active Plug in speakers into macbook, no noise Plug in speakers to Hyper X cloud USB soundcard, noise still active but a bit lower volume. Plug in speakers to front mounted 3.5mm jack, noise still active Plug in speakers to motherboard integrated audio jack, noise still active Mute all sound in the windows volume mixer, noise still active. Plug in headphones, no noise Replaced old PSU, noise still active I have tried another speaker (from an iPhone dock with 3.5mm jack Line-in), this produces no noise in the speaker dock. Untangled all cables behind PC from monitor, speakers and pc. Noise still active. Removed soundblaster card and plugged speakers into motherboard audio, noise still active. What are my other options? And please let me know if I can clarify anything! Thank you in advance for your input! EDIT: Just tried an old set of in-ear earbuds, no strange sounds. Volume settings do not affect the sound.

Hello, so yesterday I have changed my GPU and I don't know if this actually matters but afterwards my headphones or speakers make constant noise and when I play some audio from pc that noise ramps up that it's actually louder than the playback audio. I've tried couple of things. Clean install of drivers - sound & graphic I've tried to plug in old graphics card Clean install of windows. I've tried to plug the pc directly to the wall (I have another pc but connected to different wall plug) So far the noise is still there. So if anyone have some idea what could be causing it and how can I fix it I would be really thankful. Recently I was wondering about buying some decent DAC so if that's the solution, that wouldn't be the end of the world. So I could finally justify it to myself Thanks again to anyone

I'm having a slight issue with the amount of static noise coming from my motherboard audio. It's only audible on my fairly professional grade speakers and not in my headphones. I notice a definite increase in static when I perform any CPU intensive task, yet the motherboard boasts having "separated PCB layers to minimize interference". Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97MX Gaming 5 Speakers: Behringer Truth B1030A Headphones: AKG K701 Thanks for any insight! Most of the stuff I find online is very simple troubleshooting, but this is DEFINATELY and issue with the motherboard sound or interference happening on the board. Power to the speakers are separate from the rest..

Hi, I purchased my Corsair HS50 few days back. The headphone is pretty good and I have no problems with it. But I could not try the Microphone of the HS50. I don't know how it works. I use the headphone on a laptop and it has only one 3.5mm Jack. I did not use the Y Cable. But without the Splitter the Microphone doesn't work. Now as I have one 3.5mm Port, I can't try the Y Cable. Then I decided to buy a cheap USB Sound Card. Using it, everything works fine, Except I get Static Electricity sound when I turn on the mic. When the Laptop is powered through battery, It doesn't make any sound but When I plug in power supply, It makes loud sound and there is no way to reduce the Static sound. Can anyone tell is if there is a way to use the headphone along with the microphone using the 3.5mm Jack? Or explain if It will work with the single 3.5mm Jack or not...! My laptop model is Dell Inspiron 5577. Thank You.

Hello. Well I bought a Corsair HS50 headset about 3 weeks ago and since there I have a static noises problem. So I tried to change microphone boost and input gain from Windows 10 but it turns to be so quiet though I could get microphone closer to my mouth and speak, but when I was playing CSGO while I was talking my teammates could just hear some buzzing noise and when I tried Nvidia Recorder to record my game and hear it again, there was no sound at all but my last mic worked well on this recording thing. Also I think my motherboard sound card is bad because my overall headphone quality is better on my monitor input than my motherboard so I bought a cheap sound card and still have the same problem. Also I use a splitter to change my headset jack to headphone and mic jack ( I think the problem is with my splitter maybe) now I'm thinking of buying a SoundBlasterX G1 which has just one input and that is a headset one. If anyone have an idea please share it with me, thank you. (sorry if I had grammar problem) Windows 10 1909 Motherboard: A320m pro vhl CPU: Ryzen 3 1200

Hello, So I recently bought myself a new external usb sound card (Sound blasterX G1), as the internal sound card in my laptop is pretty much crap. The card works fine, but the problem is that there is really a lot of constant static background noise all the time (which increases when I turn up my volume). I've already installed the latest drivers from their website and tried different usb ports and connected different headphones, but nothing changed. It's really a shame that this happens as the sound card was not that cheap either. Anyone here who might be able to help me? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, I've recently bought Audio-Technica ATH-M30X and they have terrible static noise when they are connected to my pc. It's there when the pc is booted. I tried it out on different devices and there is no such issue. Also my pc works perfectly with any other pair of headphones. I already tried some fixes from the internet, I disabled all sound effects, installed newest realtek drivers and disabled all other device. Unfortunately nothing tends to work. My motherboard is: Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3 and my psu is CORSAIR CS750M. I can still get a refund on this thing although I would prefer trying to fix it. If you think that there is no way to make it work then you could recommend me any other pair of headphones around this price point (50 pounds).

hi guys, i've got some annoying problems with my current mic or more likely my microphone inputs of my pc (using onboard sound). every mic i have has a very noticeable background hiss which can be lowered within the recording devices manager but then no one i'm talking with can't hear me because then my voice is too quiet. so i thought because my headset broke, and is glued together atm, i could just replace it with a decent pair of headphones and a standalone mic, but i don't know which to choose. i have only a limited budget (max 60 €, ca 70 US$) and i think it should be an usb mic because of my defective inputs. the options i have, are a "t.bone sc440 usb" (60€) are any other options you guys can suggest, maybe a usb soundcard/3.5mm mic combo? some useful suggestions or tips would be highly appreciated.
