Pc - AMD RYZEN 5 5600 - ASUS EVO DUAL OC RTX 2070 SUPER - GIGABYTE B450 GAMING - 2(X8GB) HYPERX RAM SYMPTOMS : 1- Pc goes black screen when I restart it with gpu fans at 100% (rest button / windows restart) 2- Booting pc from OFF flickers all fans quick and turns off (turning the psu off and waiting for a tic fixes it but need to do it every single time) 3- Pc goes black screen and gpu fan at 100% when rebooting into bios (not always) Things I tried : Using my GPU (2070s - its using 1x8 and 1x6 Pcie Cable) on my Friends PC (it worked with no errors) Using my friends Gpu (3060ti - its using 1x8 Pcie cable) on my Pc (no errors at all on my pc it works wonders with his gpu.... but mine works well on his too???) Using a different power from other room resulted into less black screen fan 100 ... but never zero. Using different CPU (1700x) different rams .... and different drives to boot from (with fresh windows install on all) - This issue seems to also happen when trying to boot into the usb from bios too but why ???? Cleaning everything carefully and the pcie cable itself as I saw on one ltt post just to be ultra sure ... but it was not the case. Should I ? -buy new Psu ? ( some ppl say my cooler master mwe is a bad psu) -buy new Gpu or fix it ? Or maybe something else you can help me with because at this point I have no clue what is causing this issue... Side thing but not that important ... For me I am planning on fixing the gpu with new thermal pads (2mm) but it does it when gpu is cold so might not help but I will still do it. (note new thermal paste is on gpu so its not over heating issue) I will appreciate all help thank you <3.

I bought a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC White way back in December as a Christmas present for myself, and a few months after buying it I suddenly noticed the GPU fans will randomly ramp up to ~4,000 RPM for a second or so, and then go back down to the normal ~2,000-2,500 RPM that I have set on my fan curve. This will happen every few minutes or so while the GPU is under load, but I've noticed that it's almost guaranteed to happen when loading into battles and loading the garage in War Thunder. According to HWiNFO, my GPU never goes any higher than ~74 degrees when playing games, and according to my fan curve, my GPU fan should be sitting around 74% speed, or ~2,300 RPM - which it does perfectly fine, except for the few seconds that it decides to ramp up to 4,000 RPM. I do some very minor overclocking with MSI Afterburner, which I also use for my fan curve. I've tried disabling MSI Afterburner's overclock, using Gigabyte's shitty Aorus Engine fan control instead, using no fan control at all, etc. but to no avail. I also use Process Lasso for RAM cleaning and core prio and stuff, but afaik that program doesn't touch GPU fan control at all. The GPU is practically new, so dust shouldn't be any sort of issue, but I even looked in the system and gave it a good spray just in case. Also tried updating drivers, downgrading drivers, removing and re-seating the GPU, basically everything I can think of. So to me it looks like all I can do is just RMA. But that's where this post comes in. I've heard so, so many horror stories about Gigabyte support and RMA. Either it taking months to get their parts back, getting their parts back still broken and needing to RMA again, waiting weeks for replies from support, and overall just very shitty customer service. I was about to RMA, but the problem started happening right around when everything started getting crazy with the pandemic (coincidence?). After hearing all these horror stories not only about Gigabyte, but about tremendously long shipping times and whatnot in general, I decided I'd just deal with the noise because I was living with my family and had my own room. I'm back at college now, though (for now at least..), and I feel as if the noise of my GPU fans are too loud and I feel too embarrassed to play games when my roommate is in the room (all his classes are online so he hasn't left the dorm since Sunday morning, send help). So basically I'd be incredibly grateful for any sort of ideas on what the issue could be so that I could avoid an RMA, if possible. I'd be more than happy to supply any sort of test results or information that you may need to help troubleshoot - thanks so much!

Hi there Four weeks ago I finally left team Apple and built my own Pc. Assembling and setting it up was pretty easy, with the help of YT and the little knowledge I have from the time when my father built PCs in the early 2000. My Setup: MB: Rog Strix X570-E CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (stock cooler) GPU: Gigabyte 2070S Gaming OC 3X white Ram: 2x G.Skill Trident Z 3600mhz 8GB SSD: M.2 Corsair 960Gb PSU: Corsair RM850x White Case: NZXT H510i 4 days ago my Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super startet spinning its fans extremly fast even if the temperatures haven't been over 35°C (95°F). I didn't install any software that could affect the GPU except for the Nvidia drivers until the GPU startet to go crazy. A clean reinstall of the drivers didn't solve my problem, so i tried to control the fan speed with msi afterburner which didn't work as well. Does anybody have an idea how i could solve my problem? Thank you J.D Ps: Please excuse my grammatical errors, I'm from Switzerland and was sitting next to the window in english class.

Hi, this is mine system (r5 3600, rtx 2070 super, 16gb 3200mhz) and i have some kind of feelings, that im not getting the performance i should get from this setup. For examlpe in CoD warzones, i have even RayTracing off, and some graphic details lowered too, and i still have only 90-100 fps on 1080p setting. In Kingdom Come Deliverance, I have got 60-80 fps aswell on high settings. Do you guys think, that there is some kind of problem too? Or is it just normal with this setup. I have all drivers updated. Thanks for any feedback.

EDIT: I have solved the issue by changing input ports on my TV. I have been using "HDMI 1" as my input source on the TV for several years without issue (was literally using it yesterday at 4K 60Hz). I switched the 35 foot cable to "HDMI 2" and the stuttering has ceased. I am still confused but the problem is solved. Keeping this documentation here for wary future forum browsers. Recently moved to a new apartment and wanted to connect my 4K (3840x2160@60Hz) TV to my computer so that I can play games from the couch without having to move my computer from my desk. I initially purchased a 25 foot Amazon Basics HDMI cable. When it arrived, I connected the cable and set up my display profiles. Booted up a few games and noticed the display output was stuttering. Thought it could be a problem with 4K output so I reduced resolution to 1080p, first in-game then in Windows. This did not solve the issue. The stuttering is noticeable even when moving around the mouse cursor on the desktop. An interesting note, the stuttering persists on my other monitors when the cable is plugged in, even if the 4K TV is disabled in software. As soon as I disconnect the HDMI cable, the stuttering ceases. The cable I had purchased was refurbished, so I figured it was an issue with the cable and returned it (it was too short anyway). I then purchased the 35 foot Amazon Basics HDMI cable with RedMere. It arrived yesterday and I connected it, only to have the same issue. Playing a 4K 60FPS YouTube video on my primary monitor (i.e. not the TV) with a stat counter shows frames dropping consistently. Decreasing the refresh rate on the TV to 30Hz via Nvidia Control Panel appears to make stuttering worse; I believe the stuttering to be tied to frame rate. Stuttering once again ceases when I disconnect the HDMI cable. Computer Specs: MOBO: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi CPU: AMD Ryzen 3800X (Stock) RAM: GSkill TridentZ RGB 16GB 3600MHz CL16 GPU: Zotac Gaming RTX 2070 Super Mini - 3 x DisplayPort 1.4, 1 x HDMI 2.0 || Nvidia Driver 471.68 (latest as of posting) PSU: Corsair RM750X 750W OS: Windows 10 Pro build 19042.1165 Monitor Topology: Primary - Alienware 3440x1440@120Hz, connected directly via DisplayPort Secondary - Dell 1080x1920@60Hz, connected initially via HDMI but have switched to DisplayPort to HDMI via a passive converter as my GPU only has 1 HDMI output Television - TCL 49S517 3840x2160@60Hz, connected directly via 35 Foot HDMI cable This setup has never had issues playing games at 3440x2160@60Hz. In the past I have moved my computer over to the TV to connect with shorter HDMI cables. Initial troubleshooting: I have uninstalled and reinstalled latest Nvidia Drivers using DDU. I reduced resolution and refresh rate on the TV. I disconnected all displays except for the TV. I have tried 2 different 'long' HDMI cables (25 foot and then 35 foot with RedMere, as described above). I have attempted to adjust HDMI timings manually using Nvidia Control Panel, but I'm slightly out of my depth and did not find anything interesting or conclusive.

Hi LTT community, Scroll down to the part in bold if you dont care about my life and just wanna answer my question. I am a Student with a decent payed side-job, looking for a new setup. Current setups: (i5 6600K 4.6GHz; GTX1060 6GB; 16GB Ram; 500GB SSD 740evo; 750GB salvaged HDD from some laptop) (Acer V5 i5 3330U; GT 720 2GB; 8GB Ram) Yes current setup is not bad. However, I am a student and need therefore a light portable laptop that has great battery life and does not look gamerish. Then I need a computer where i can game and stay in touch with long distance friends. My struggle is that i wanna have one system. Therefore I am lokking for a nice lightweight laptop eg. MSI 15 Prestige. Where i can game when I am traveling abroad and when back home plug into a RTX2070 for example. My issue so far is that with the current E-GPU setup over TB3 the 4x lanes (3,938GB/s) and a normal Graphics card being around (6.4 GB/s) I wont bother considering this setup. However, now comes the question: With the new Intel mobile CPUs whenever they release them, with the PCI-e 4.0 the speed of 4x lanes will be (7,877GB/s) hence no bottleneck in theory. Do you think that if such laptop is bought the current lets say Razer Core X chroma will support over TB3 the new PCI-e 4.0? I mean TB3 has 40GB/s in theory right? Thank you for your time!!!

Budget (including currency): $1550 - $1600 Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Emulators (Cemu and Yuzu [both have some problems with AMD cards hence the NVIDIA because its more stable with it]), Astroneer, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, OBS (for light streaming nothing to big),Code Vein, Warframe, The new COD Modern Warfare, Sekiro: Die Twice,Borderlands: 3 Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want to play at 1440p 60-144hz is preferred here is the parts list: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $167.00 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Corsair iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $117.58 @ Amazon Thermal Compound Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut 3.9 g Thermal Paste $13.25 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard $114.99 @ Best Buy Memory G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory $114.49 @ Amazon Storage Western Digital Blue 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $67.06 @ Amazon Storage Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $54.99 @ Newegg Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X Video Card $549.99 @ Newegg Case Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case $99.98 @ Newegg Power Supply Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $99.99 @ Best Buy Wireless Network Adapter Asus PCE-AC55BT B1 PCIe x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter $34.99 @ B&H Case Fan Fractal Design HF14-BK 118.2 CFM 140 mm Fan $20.39 @ Amazon Case Fan Fractal Design HF14-BK 118.2 CFM 140 mm Fan $20.39 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1475.09 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-05-30 02:21 EDT-0400 -I want to play at 1440p -60-144hz is preferred -I have no plans of changing the ram to another type since this piece of ram was chosen after i got a price/performance that i was comfortable with. meaning that yes this particular ram is in here for the rgb factor since i had a couple more to spare - My Wifi router is not in my Room where my PC is due to house size, hence why wireless adapter also the headphones I'm getting will be bluetooth as well so that's another reason (for your info i do not have wifi 6 so if there is a cheaper alternative wireless adapter that's just as good let me know) -I picked the MSI version of the RTX 2070 SUPER mainly because I liked its price for performance, but also because i am not comfortable with manual overclocking for right now so i chose this card to be compatible with MSi afterburner's automated overclock that should keep everything stable ( it also fits well with the rgb software on the ram and the motherboard which is a plus) - keynote: I will not back away from the Nividia card to a AMD card. This is mainly because the main emulator I play on, CEMU has some bugs when playing games on AMD cards another thing is that i personally feel a bit safer with the Nividia card in terms of software - I am not planning on doing any extreme overclocking as of right now, however I would like to do some minimal overclocking so let me know if this PSU is enough - due to how pcpartpicker is with compatibility between air coolers and ram, decided to go on the safe side with a AIO and I'm also planning of upgrading later down the line in the next 3-4 years so i should be good before the AIO dies from usage (i heard AIO's last up to 3-4 years before the liquid becomes unusable). I also just like how much nicer AIOs look anyway - Assuming everything goes well in the RGB software (ya know with ICUE and MysticLIGHT) I want my color theme to be Amber/Gold with black and ill probably add some red to cable extensions when i buy them down the line Well now that I said that is there anywhere that I could improve a bit more on in the NVME, Wireless adapter, AIO, Thermal Compound, and PSU department I am planning on ordering these parts by the end of June to early July

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask for help I don't know where but: I recently installed a Nvidia RTX 2070S and new 750w power supply into my PC. Despite the fact that these were both big upgrades to my PC the performance of the PC has gone down. Things are for more prone to stop responding, things become sluggish if too much is open and I am getting lower frames on games than I was before (with the same graphics settings). Generally the performance is just worse. The drivers are up to date and I deleted the old drivers. I have 8GB of RAM and my CPU is an AMD FX(tm)-6350 Six-Core Processor. Everything on the PC is working, but just at lower performance than before. PLEASE HELP OR POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO ASK FOR HELP!

Hey everyone! My current specs: Graphics card: GTX970 Processor: Intel Core i7-6700k Ram: 32gb Mainboard: Asus Z170-K Power supply: be quiet! s8 600W For upcoming 2020 games, like Cyberpunk 2077, MSFS 2020 and Kerbal Space Program 2 I want to play on my Full HD 144hz Monitor on (hopefully) highest graphic settings, I want to upgrade my GPU. I want a GeForce Graphics Card and I am particularly looking at either an RTX2060 Super or RTX2070 Super. I've got around 500€ to spare. Which one of these should I consider buying? Are there any other cards that meet my requirements and are the better option to choose from? Thanks in advance!

Hello all, Looking to upgrade from an RX570. Current build. Based on Borderlands 3, I have a GPU Bottleneck (2.5 ms FT for CPU, 12.5 ms FT for GPU at medium settings). I suspect that that the bottle neck is in all my games. CPU: R7 2700x Motherboard: MSI Tomahawk B450 Ram: Corsair Vengence lPX 3000MHz (2x8gb) PSU: EVGA 600w 80+ Bronze. I am looking at either a 2070S, a 2060S, or a 5700x. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Okay, I apologise beforehand for the long post! I got an MSI Rtx 2070 super gaming X trio for Christmas. This was to replace my gtx1060 3gb. I did a clean uninstall of my gtx 1060 drivers with DDU before shutting down and removing the card. I've installed the RTX2070S now and it's not performing as expected. Battlefield 1 is the game that I'll be using as an example. Online benchmarks say that I should be able to to run the game on epic settings at around 160 FPS. I get around 140 which isn't exactly much lower. The real issue is when I drop my in game settings to low. On low settings I should supposedly get around 260 FPS. I get 140. Before you think it's a bottlenecking issue, my cpu usage is around 30-40%. It's a 2700x so shouldn't be a problem. It is also worth mentioning that my gpu usage is around 30-40%, obviously an issue. I ran gpuZ whilst playing the game and saw that the GPUs power usage was rather low at around 100W during gaming. My gpu clocks are find during gaming at around 1900mhz. Pc power settings are also set to high performance as are my Nvidia 3d settings. If you need to see my entire build it is here: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Joshuamkc/saved/9HL9GX Thanks in advance to anyone who replies and please let me know if you need more info!

Hey folks, 6 months ago I built myself a new setup including a Rtx 2070 Super. Now after all those months of a perfectly working system, I turned on my computer and suddenly had green dots all over my two monitors and had the Error Code 43 in my device manager plus the GPU didnt get recognized anymore. Since I can still use my warranty, I returned my graphics card and ordered a new one. Do you think this was a hardware problem which can suddenly occure? I heard that it could be a broken VRAM and it could happen with some RTX models... FYI: I‘ve never overclocked anything of my gear. And maybe if its still not working with the new GPU, do you have any idea what other part could be broken? Cheers Nick

Budget (including currency): $2000 Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft Extreme Shaders, Rainbow Six Siege, No Mans Sky, TF2 and more video and imagery software. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc: I am highly considering and wanting at minimum and RTX 2070 super in this build and at least a 6 core processor like the 3600 or the 3600x. I would also prefer going AMD for the processor and also If possible a AIO cooler. If anyone can send me a reply of a parts list that would be greatly appreciate and I would love to get building my new and improved pc. Btw just for back story I am moving from a laptop because all I get is FPS lag and display stutters and how terrible FPS I’ve been lately getting.

Can I mount my aorus RTX 2070 Super (3 slot) graphics card vertically if i am using a Be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler in a standard ATX case? I would purchase a vertical mount separately from the case, so the GPU would be further away from the tempered glass panel.

Hi, I've got a LG OLED55B9PLA at hand and tried to enable G sync to play games. But Somehow in de NVIDIA control panel te Enale G sync doesn't show up. I know for a fact that it has had the G sync option. But now it doesn't show. I've got a RTX 2070 Super... I tried to download the specific driver that came out on oktober 29 2019. But it didn't work, I had the latest drivers installed and that didn't work. I know that the LG tv supports it and also my gpu. Anyone knows how to solve this problem? Oh and the drivers of the tv are updated to the latest as well.
