Hi, I have a MSI b450 tomahawk max with 5600x cpu that I am using for the last two years, haven’t face any issues. Long ago, i saw this red light issue but didn’t know much about it, opened my case and did some connection checks and it worked. Recently, I have downgraded my gpu from 6700xt to 1030, faced this cpu red light issue 7 days ago, tried gpu, ram, cmos battery reinstallion but didn’t work, suddenly it worked and ran well for the whole week. Today, it's showing again this annoying cpu red light, tried again with the ram, gpu, cmos, connection checks but nothing worked. What's the issue? Can anyone help me out? Saw many posts about such issues with this particular mobo, anything with the bios?

Hello I've got a problem with my pc it powers up and boots like normal just 1 fan doesn't work which it stays on for 5 minutes then at that point the monitor loses signal and all audio cuts out but the whole pc stays on keyboard and mouse RGB all on and no problems on the motherboard light up until I press reset it has signal then cuts out I try again and the VGA led on mobo lights up red at this point I've also tried 2 monitors and my TV and they all do it Specs not sure on all but can find out if needed I7 3770 I believe Gtx 970 16 GB ram P9x79 pro mobo I've taken it to 2 different computer shops the first swapped the GPU and it worked fine for a few months then it started getting the same problem again so I took it back and they didn't have any problem with it they bought it back and it didn't work so I took it to a different shop and they didn't get the problem but when they bought it back same problem again I've looked all online and can't find anything really except one person on Reddit who had the exact same problem including the shops finding no problems and it didn't happen to them and he said when he took it back the last time they found a defect my GPU was originally swapped out but that wasn't a brand new GPU it's just one the shop had put the back could this be defected the same as the first if that was the problem with the first? I don't have much money so don't wanna buy a new GPU and find it has the same problem if anyone needs more info I can find out for you I also have a couple videos of what happens if that'll help Edit I've tried using 1 stick of ram only used 2 of my 4 to test and I was wrong about my CPU it's actually an i7 3960x

Hi, I built a new system recently, and had been using it for a couple of days (light use), and all of a sudden mid-way through a random youtube video the PC powered off, and now bluescreens every time I turn it on. Without changing anything physically to the PC, it seemed to go from completely okay and working to then being completely broken! Each bluescreen gives different messages, and often it doesn't reach the blue screen. It always powers off upon a red light for CPU. It also gives an amber light for DRAM, but that doesn't seem to be the main issue. I've looked at many threads on similar issues, so I've updated the BIOS to the latest version, messed around with XMP/DOCP settings, reseated the CPU (with new paste), reseated the ram (many times) and checking they were in correct slots, made sure every PSU cable was plugged in correctly. I'm at a loss at this point! I'm not very experienced building PCs from scratch, so I was wondering if I was missing something obvious? What can I do? Specs: Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 Graphics Card: Geforce GTX 1080 ti RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200mhz PSU: Corsair RM650 650 watt gold plus Storage: Samsung 870 QVO 1TB

System: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ultra rev 1.1 AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super Issue: The red led on the mobo marked 'CPU' turns on as soon as the power button is hit and stays on until the system is off again. The PC works perfectly fine. I think it was caused by running the MSI afterburner overclock scanner by mistake - I cancelled and reverted it midway through scan It could also be when I opened it up last night to use compressed air to clean out the components. I'm not 100% when the red light came on - before or after the MSI mistake. Solutions I've tried: reverting MSI changes, uninstalling MSI and deleting any settings. jumping cmos and going into bios after to confirm jump worked and resetting bios to default values. removing cmos battery and jumping removing gpu, starting, shutting down and put gpu back in. q-flash bios to latest update from Gigabyte. checking all connectors are clicked in. removing 1 ram stick and trying cmos jump. I'm fairly sure this is just aesthetic at this point since the pc works just as before. But it is annoying me to no end to have that red light in my case when the pc is fine. Any help appreciated!

Hi, so on my motherboard there is red light on DRAM. It all started when power outage happened, pc shuts down. Whe power outaged I turned off psu on switch, and when power came back. I turned on psu on switch and started pc, but it showed up something like Select Proper Boot Drive I think. Then I again turned on pc and got in bios, wanted to select my boot drive, and when i were selecting i missed ssd and clicked on hdd, again I tried to start pc but screen that display Asus stuff and that click "Del" to enter bios, just didnt pop up, and I ned to turn it up few times and when i entered bios and clicked on ssd, it started Automatic Repair, but got in loop, again i turn on pc and it is just windows blue logo and black background loop. Then I opened my pc saw that light, pulled out Ram and putted ram back in slot, but it wont show the display, monitor isnt activating on pc startup. Then I couldnt shut down pc on button, I need to switch it off or to hold on button. Also when i click on button to turn on, it starts, turns off itself and turn on again itself. Think it had some type of smell, and baddest thing that on site where is info about power outages of my city, there was no my street...

System: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/alimoncul/saved/k7NL23 Bios: Latest Beta 7B85v1G2(Beta version) https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC/support -
Hello Everyone,to start of I want to apologize for bad English in advanced. I need to type this on mobile :/. I wanted to Build my own PC after 6 years of having a pre Build one. As the motherboard I use the Gigabyte B660 Gaming X DDR4 (128 GB, Socket 1700/B660/DDR4/S-ATA 600/ATX) with an I5 12400 12 gen CPU from Intel. The Power Supply I use in this Build is a be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM PSU 550 Watt 80+ Gold modular BN317. The fans I use in the Case are the VENT 120X120 LIAN LI UNI FAN SL120 NEGRO KIT X3UD KIT 3 PCS/1900RPM/PWM/ARGB G99.12UF3B.00. As a CPU Cooler I use the Corsair iCUE H150i RGB Elite. And as RAM I use Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 64GB. The GPU that I use is a GTX 1060 with 6gb from Asus. I also use about 4 TB of Storage with 2 HDDs and a 250 GB m. 2 SSD When I put all the parts together in the case and turn the pc on, it starts the fans and the ram RGB is working and so on. But the Motherboard has a red light on the bottom right on consttandly, which after reading the motherboard manual means that there is something wrong with the cpu. Plugging in the PC with HDMI shows a No Signal Message, I tried some stuff like Replugging the CPU 8 Pin, checking if the CPU Fan Pin is in the Correct spot. And putting the cpu out of the slot and back in it, as well as putting ram out and in so I know it's from the CPU and not anything else. Resetting the BIOS Batterie didn't seem to help too. I really don't know what I can Troubleshoot more at this point and think my CPU might be Broken, do you guys have another idea what I can try? I also thought it maybe because of the power supply not being powerful enough Pictures of the Computer: https://ibb.co/qCG8NDs https://ibb.co/7bPZyJT

Running into a bit of an issue with my new Ryzen build. This is my 3rd Build I’ve ever done, so still kind of new to all of this. I know my way around a computer decently, but I’m stumped. Upon initial boot, everything fired up fine. Case fans, AIO fans, and all RGB. The computer posted and I was able to get into the bios. At this point I got on my old PC and created a boot drive for Windows 10 installation. I was poking around a little bit into the bios settings of my (new build) ASUS TUF Gaming X570 mobo, and did something with the boot order that I’m unsure what exactly I did, (on the first boot). I then “saved changed and exited” on the bios. From this point, I could not get anything to display again. I flipped the power supply switch, restarted, and now I’m left with a static yellow light (indicating DRAM). I have tried multiple solutions including resetting of cmos and can not get anything to work and get me back into bios. These are the things I attempted with no solution: 1) Powered off, flipped switch, and unplugged power cable. removed GPU and cmos battery, waited 5 minutes, plugged battery back in, then gpu. Restarted, no luck. Still yellow DRAM light. 2) Tried with only 1 RAM stick in recommended slot (A2), then tried other stick in A2, then tried each stick in B2. No luck in any of those 4 configurations. Yellow DRAM light 3) Repeated all of attempt #1, but also used a screwdriver to jump the cmos reset pins (Or whatever they’re technically called) on my motherboard. I did this with power unplugged, no GPU, and no cmos battery inside. Attempted restart without gpu in and things got interesting. Lights kept blinking in following order: Orange, Red, White. Over and over multiple times until finally settling on static WHITE. (Of course, because no gpu was plugged in, but at this point I was ready to see anything different). 4) Continuing off of #3, I then plugged the GPU back in with no cmos battery installed to see if I had successfully reset bios, but was greeted with the same original issue. Power cycle orange red white, then settling on static yellow. Same as before. 5) Kind of an “out-there” attempt but I tried to boot without ram sticks in, no cmos battery, and no graphics card installed (more or less just to see what the lights would do) and the lights didn’t cycle through, it was static orange. 6) My final attempt before posting, I reinstalled everything, cmos, gpu, and both ram sticks, plugged in power, and turned it on, only to be created by the orange red white power cycle before once again landing on static yellow forever. At this point I have no idea what to do or try. I don’t believe I have any faulty parts because I DID have a successful first boot and got into the bios. a couple of important notes: -While inside bios the first time, I found that both ram sticks WERE indeed recognized (though not running at the rated speed yet), the cpu was identified, as well as both of my M.2 drives Identified. I don’t know how pressing enter on the boot order in bios could’ve totally messed it all up, but here I am. -I never had an issue with lights, ram, fans, or AIO during every boot attempt to solve the problem after doing something (clearing cmos, etc.). They would light up, spin, and act as if functioning properly, but the motherboard light always static yellow (aside from the instances listed above, in which the lights were Static white or orange). If anybody could help me out, it would be very much appreciated. I’ve never used a forum before so I’m hoping somebody out there knows my solution. Thank you so much.

So I just finished putting my computer together and it has an SSD running as its main hard drive. While I'm installing Windows 10 it says no drivers can be found even though I have an SSD in. I take and look inside the computer and I see a constant red light on the SSD and I have no clue what to do now... My motherboard : B450 Aorus Pro Wifi The SSD: Team Group MS30 M.2 2280 128GB

Everything in my setup is fine and has been for the 2 weeks I've had it. But the other day, a red light showed up on the mobo. It's directly left of the power connector and has a (+) above it and a (-) below it. All works fine though and its not the cpu, gpu, or ram since those are clearly indicated and marked elsewhere on the board.Any help would be appreciated. I have contacted MSI but I'm really impatient lol

My case is the v71 thermaltake Which can be seen by clicking on the name above. The red light near the circle power button sometimes rarely blinks and sometimes it will blink for a long period then go back to doing it a little bit at a time. I was wondering if I should be worried about this or is it just a normal function with my case. I know this picture is blurry but it has a battery looking symbol on the case were it lights up red.

I bought a Japanese 60Gb PS2 compatible PS3 and I did a long PS2 gaming session on it then didn't use it for a while, when I went back to it it worked but then crashed and now has a blinking red light, the front LED shows green yellow then blinks red does anyone know what the problem is? I've been told it's too much dust build up which is possible but I've also read that it is solder points cracking to which people fix with a heatgun or hairdryer

Hello everyone, I have a strange probleme. I built my first computer a month and a half ago using a B350 pro series mother board and a Ryzen 5 1600X CPU, everything booted well. Now today I decided to finally do some cable management, at the end I put the cables in there proper places, but it won’t boot up. A red led for the CPU lights up every time. I tried everything, unplugging and replugging ATX and CPU power and also my ram cards. I even changed the CPU power cable, Nothing works. Could someone help me.

There is a red/orange blinking light on my motherboard and I am not sure what the problem is. I read online it could be the power supply so I went to micro center and bought a new one, it didn't fix the problem. Can anyone help me out or know how to fix this ? thank you in advance

I built this about a week ago and it was working properly until just now. The board is a TUF B365M-PLUS GAMING board as mentioned in the title. I tried to turn it on just now but theres no video output after the startup bios screen. The liquid cooler fans and the lights of the ram turned on but not the 4 casing fans. I used the fan's controller to turn it on and they did turned on but they shut off the stuff that was initially on. I pressed the power button for a few seconds to shut it off and it stayed like this until now. The led light should should be cycling through the colours when nothing is wrong. I searched the whole Internet but I can't find anything related to this problem in this board. I really hope u guys can help me ??

Hi guys Luke here back for more help So here's the problem i got a new monitor bracket arm thing monitor worked fine before mounting. I mounted it and it would not turn on i have tried taking it off and back on the stand and tried turning it back on but it still wont turn back on. Strange thing the computer still detects the monitor and shows up in the windows screen resolution setting when the power and the hdmi of the monitor is plugged in and doesn't show it when not plugged in so it is still working to some extent just no picture is showing. It is a LG IPS LED 23EA63 Monitor here it is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LG-23EA63-23-IPS-LED-Widescreen-Monitor-Full-HD-1080p-HDMI-DVI-VGA-/331103134616 . It was brand new from ebuyer when i brought it and it is still under warranty by a month so if you guys cant help me fix it then i will just send it back and get a replacement. Another thing is when i hold the function button as for the as i am holding it the function button turns on the red light at the front. All the other buttons don't seem to do anything(as far as i can tell). When screwing in the top left corner screw(when looking at it from the back)did click a few times when going in so if there is anything important under there that controls the monitor maybe i broke it or went through it?? Um thing thats about all any and all help will be great thanks so much guys really need this fixed asap using a crappy monitor atm ! - Luke

I need some help, for the past 5 days, every time i go to boot my computer out of sleep mode, the fans stay on but my monitors dont come back on, and i have 2 monitors and a tv. BUT the scariest thing is there is a red light coming from above the graphics card, and below the cpu and next to my ram if you wanna know my system specs it is in the description of my twitch; twitch.tv/muck_fachine thank you for the help it means a lot. also tomshardware says that it could be a dying stick of ram, i hope not though.
