I've choosen the parts wisely, but need some help with it.. So i'm choosing the (bequiet! pure rock 2 fx cooler) with the i5 13400F, is this a good cooler for the cpu, or do i need cpu cooler with 2 fans and higher TDP? Next question: is the seasonic psu good enough for all these components + hard drive and ssd? I've heard seasonic make good psu's? I hope you guys can help me out with it

Budget (including currency): n/a Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: n/a Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello, I’m fairly recent to the pc building space, only having bought a prebuilt about 2 years ago. I’ve decided the time has come to make my pc more of my own and I bought a new case to swap it into to start out with. I bought the Fractal Meshify 2 Lite Rgb case for a pretty good deal on Newegg, but the problem is that it comes with 4 5V 3- pin Argb fans while my mobo, a GigaByte B560 UD, only has two 12v 4-pin connectors. I bought it because I really liked the way it looked, but because I’m so new to building I didn’t realize the fans wouldn’t work with my mobo. The case also does not come with a fan hub. I know I need a converter to make the fans useable and that not using one would probably blow them up. The problem is what do I buy? Do I buy a converter for the rgb and a pwm hub for the fan power? Do I buy a combo that does both? Do I avoid converting voltage and try to find a hub that goes through the USB header? Or do I not even bother with it and use the fans I already have? (I'd prefer not to since I’m pretty sure the new fans would be a substantial upgrade.) Anyway, rgb fan setup is confusing to me and not well done at all. I know I kind of goofed by buying that case but I really want to find a way to make it work. Sorry for the wall of text, but any advice would be extremely helpful. I don’t really know what to do. Edit: If this post is in the wrong place, I’d be happy to move it.

Budget (including currency): max €2000 but preferably €1500 or lower Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: occasional 4K video editing in DaVinci Resolve and basic gaming (eFootball, The Division, Total War series) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My laptop recently broke down and now I'm looking to build my first desktop PC (since I was already using the laptop docked about 90% of the time). However, I have an old PC at my disposal from which I was hoping to harvest some parts to cut costs (MSI Codex 3 VR7RC-005EU). Hi friends, I want to build ah PC for video editing, 3D modelling purposes. Gaming is not compulsary. I don't want any RGB lighting or any external good appearances. Only performance matters to me. My choice is AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 4.3GHz 20MB Cache AM4 Socket (YD270XBGAFBOX)(https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07B428M7F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1N1KFB7XM5VHBH6EGQ57?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) 300$ Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 3200MHZ UDIMM C16 Desktop RAM Memory Module (https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07W8ZDDKT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_MJEQRCKCNBCT81D5X9FT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) 100$ Seagate Barracuda 2 TB Internal Hard Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 256 MB Cache for Computer Desktop PC (ST2000DM005) (https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07GWRP5LN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_RDY3ZFZJ9ZCEG6N9YPFH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). 70$ Choosing Graphics Card is a headache for me. I don't know which to choose. . From few browsing I think NVIDIA Quadro P1000 4GB GDDR5 128bit PCI Express 3.0 x16 Graphics Card (VCQP1000-PB) might be suitable But cost is high. Can anyone help with choosing Graphics Card and Motherboard and SSD(256GB)(under 100$) properly? Note: I planned use an old LED TV for monitor and buy cheap mouse and keyboard (wireless)(30$). And Cheap Cabinet too (70$). Processor- 300$ Ram-100$ Mouse, Keyboard,Monitor-100$ HDD-70$ SSD-100$ Total-670$ A good Graphics Card and a motherboard for 370$.Is it possible? Possible reductions SSD to128GB. Ram single Stick (16gb) for future upgrade. When needed add another 16gb. Please help with this.I need your suggestions for all my choices and to make a choice?

Hi, I recently built my first gaming PC my specs are: CPU: Intel core i5 11600k Motherboard: MSI B560 Tomahawk Wifi RAM: 16gb 3600mhz Corisar Vengeance Pro GPU: Nvidia Asus Tuf Rtx 3060ti SSD: WD 500 m.2 nvme PSU: Evga 700 80+bronze Others to note: my monitor's refresh rate is 75hz and I am playing over wifi not lan. Parts are not over locked yet. So I was testing out Hitman 2 and my fps was around 75 fps. However with the specs that I have I should be getting around 100+ fps. And yes, the wires are connected correctly from the GPU to the monitor. All the drivers are up to date. For overwatch I increased the fps cap to 200 and in there I'm getting high fps numbers but I'm not sure if that's the same case for other games. I'm not sure what's going on but any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Hello guys, I need your help to build a PC that will serve me for the next 5+ years. I know the PC assembly process, the components, their roles and importance, but I know all that to some extent in practice and a little less in theory (especially when it comes to cooling and aesthetics). For this reason, I would appreciate your experiences, opinions, suggestions and the like. I would be very grateful if someone could take the time to help me. I mostly use the PC for work. I am a Graphic Designer and the programs I use the most are Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Webflow, etc. I often have 10+ tabs opened in Chrome with one or two of the Graphic Design programs, so I would like to have 32GB of RAM so that I don't have problems with multitasking. I've had a bigger case before, so I'd like a Mini ITX this time around. I like that it doesn't take up too much space and is easily portable when needed. It is important for me to have a good Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection because with the previous build the cables drove me crazy. I also have a laptop, so it is much easier for me to switch from one machine to another if all the devices are wireless (mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc.). I have an external hard drive that I often transfer from one device to another, so it is important to me that the motherboard and the case have a front USB-C port. Since I am a designer, aesthetics are important to me. I like minimalism, I'm not a big fan of RGB, but I wouldn't want my case to be completely dark either. I occasionally play CS:GO, so I'd like it to be fluid (300+ FPS). So, these are some of my choices. I would like you to help me and advise me what I could change. Where to save money, and where to spend a little more. Is there something which is overkill for my needs, do I maybe need to add more fans or coolers, etc. This is the PC Part Picker List. I decided to build the machine around an Intel i5-12400F. After watching YouTube videos and suggestions on various sites, I concluded that this is the best budget option that will do the job properly. I chose the ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi motherboard because it fits the ITX build and has USB-C ports on the front and back. Since I plan to use this computer for more than 5 years, I've decided that I'm in favor of a board that supports DDDR5 memory, but I'm not sure it's necessary. For memory, I chose Kingston Fury 32GB DDR5 5600MHz CL36. I'm not sure if that's too much. Maybe I should go with the DDDR4 one or stay on DDDR5 but with lower speed or something. SSD Samsung 1TB 980 Pro w/ Heatsink 4.0 NVMe™. For this one I'm pretty sure it's a good choice. I noticed that the Fighter AMD Radeon™ RX 6600 8GB GDDR6 is a good recommendation, so I put it in my build. For cooling there is Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler as a popular solution, and Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 600W Gold 600 W 80+ Gold as the first one I came across that matches the rest of the components. The case is Jonsbo V8 Mini ITX Desktop Case because it is the closest to my taste among the options on PC Part Picker. I like something like HYTE Revolt 3, Sparrow MQ5, Jonsbo Bo 100, IQUNIX ZX-1, Lian Li Q58, etc. Please, feel free to suggest me if some components are a complete failure or if you think there are better options than the ones listed. None of the components on the list are strict, except maybe the process around which I built the machine. Thank you in advance for your time and help. Best regards, Aleksandar

Budget (including currency): 4-5k Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Ranging from normal games like Minecraft, Roblox, Overwatch, Sims 4, to playing rhythm games Like Osu, Sound Voltex etc. horror games, fighting games like Vampire Savior, JJBA heritage for the future, and plenty other genre of video games along with doing digital art on multiple art programs like photoshop cs5, pain tool sai, and clip studio paint (along w/ some animation programs.) I wanna use my pc for doing digital art at home and I'll use my laptop when I'm on the go traveling or at conventions. Other details: Here's my Pcpartpicker list so far. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8ckhNc Questions about my build. The case So two cases I kind've can't choose between is the Antec Torque and the Cougar Conquer. I feel attached to the Cougar Conquer since it took me a lot of time to find it. (I first saw it listed on AliExpress and it got taken down before I was able to image search it. After some time I was able to find it again and I was really stoked to find it again. On the other hand I really like how the Antec Torque looks too and is a tad bit cheaper than the Cougar Conquer and is 1 rating point better on Amazon but both are equally cool looking to me. Links for Cases Conquer Cougar https://www.amazon.com/Cougar-CONQUER-ATX-Gaming-Case/dp/B0759PNHX8/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1U5NEO9MYPDMC&keywords=cougar+conquer&qid=1671391614&s=electronics&sprefix=Conq%2Celectronics%2C544&sr=1-2&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.c3015c4a-46bb-44b9-81a4-dc28e6d374b3#customerReviews Antec Torque https://www.amazon.com/Antec-Black-Aluminum-Computer-Torque/dp/B07HG9KZVX/ref=psdc_3012292011_t1_B0759PNHX8?th=1 Tubing I wanted to make a heart loop for the tubing but I don't know if using soft tubing or hard tubing gonna provide better results for such a shape. Good news tho is that I do have tubing in mind I want to use for the build (I just don't know whether to choose soft or hard tubing.) Links for tubing. Soft tubing https://www.microcenter.com/product/406880/primochill-primoflex-3-8-(10-mm)-x-1-2-(13-mm)-advanced-lrt-tubing-10-ft-crystal-clear#tab-reviews-bm Hard tubing https://www.microcenter.com/product/474179/primochill-3-8-(10-mm)-x-1-2-(13-mmm)-petg-rigid-tubing-12x-30-clear#tab-reviews-bm Fitting I don't know what fittings I should use for the tubing I've picked out. I wanna use bitspower fittings specially their deluxe white fittings but on the website I can't tell if their fittings are for soft tubing or not? Also I still don't fully understand how fitting measurements work so I can't tell if the tube will match the fittings and vise versa. Cooling method Deciding on whether I should do Aio or custom water cooling. While I like all the perks of custom water I'm kinda intimidated by the maintenance process. I already don't have to much knowledge or faith in myself on building a water-cooled pc, let alone understanding and remembering the procedures and process on how to maintain one. It also seems kinda like a big hassle but I think if I knew how to do it I wouldn't be so deterred. Painting Eventually when I get my motherboard, pc case, and psu I wanna spray paint em. (or prob have someone else paint them for me cause while I've seen videos on how to do it I don't really trust myself to do it without fucking anything up. Also for Tamiya Color Polycarbonate spray paint do I have to sand my case and use a primer for Tamiya pain or can I just go in with the spray can. Also can I just commission/pay someone to paint the parts for me? I might do it on my own when I get my parts but... I also might feel more better to have someone else do it for me lol, I've been trying to look in different places but I can't find anyone that actually does so. Water block For the Graphics card I wanna get the Asus ROG STRIX WHITE OC GeForce RTX 3090 If I go the custom water cooling Idk If I should get the EK Water Blocks Edition of ASUS G-Force RTX 3090 water block or the Corsair Hydro X series XC& RGB White CPU Water Block. Coolant I wanna try to get pastel coolant so I was thinking about getting the EKWB EK-CyroFuel Premix Solid Cloud White and the EKWB EK-CyroFuel Red Dye and dying the coolant till I got a pastel pink color coolant I'm satisfied with but I don't know if that would work or what.

Budget (including currency): 1100 eur Country: Czech republic Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly used for post scriptum and squad, and for designing in solidworks Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have created this list: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/pkRCk6 CPU and GPU will be watercooled and it will be built on wall so no case is needed. As a PSU I have chosen 750w seasonic connect because of the external bar. In future I would love to buy a 1440p 144hz monitor and be able to play at least at medium graphics settings, will this be sufficient for next 4-8 years ? Also if anyone has any tips for better components or pc wall building I would love to hear them. Thanks for your answers

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Q47pf8 This is the PC I have already started to list on PCPP. My budget would preferably be at £2400 but if necessary can go up to £2500 (GBP only please as I’m in the UK). i would like either an ultra wide monitor (2560x1080) at 75Hz or 1080p / 1440p at 144Hz. The other listed periferals I would like to stay the same and another must is the system to be Black and Red themed. I would like to stick with intel for my processor (8700k would be nice) and Nvidea for my GPU (1080ti is a must in this build). Thanks to anyone willing to help, this is an important decision for me as this is a lot of money ( I’m 14 I’m very lucky to have this much money and also an opportunity to build a beast Gaming PC)

Hi everyone, Before I start, specs: GTX KFA2 1070 (shitty brand, dont buy) I5 7600k 4,7 Ghz 16 gb 3000 Mhz ram 1080p ips monitor, 60hz So, I will (hopefully) graduade high school in the next couple of months and will get some money from my parents. I am 16. I will get about 400 euros and want to upgrade something from my setup but I am really lost to what I should upgrade. My gpu, cpu or my monitor. I posted this a few days back and got told to get some benchmarks and say which games I most like to play. I mostly play big singleplayer games, a lot of them are open world but I play linear games too. I occasionally play online with some friends, but it is nothing compared to how much I play and love singleplayer story type games. I will get a budget about 400 euro's. I can get a few things with that: A i7 9700k, a rtx 2070 or new really nice monitor. Can be 1440p and also can be 3440x1440 ultrawide. This next thing is important, after this upgrade I wont be able to upgrade for probably about 3-5 years. So I cant get a thing now and get another one in about a year. Here are the benchmarks: NOTE: All these games have vsync off **Resident Evil 2 Remake ULTRA settings, 1080p** CPU: 70-85%, 50-53 degrees celcius (I will only say degree from now) GPU: 98-100%, 80-82 degrees 70-90 fps (which I can ofcourse not see because my monitor doest go that high) **Red Dead Redemption 2, mix of medium, high and ultra settings. (I can give specifics if it is important)** This one varied a lot, and so there are a few different bechmarks When in the wild, so places like the heartlands: CPU: 60% GPU: 98-100% When in small towns like Valentine and Strawberry: CPU: 80-95% GPU:98-100% When in the biggest city, saint denis (lot of buildings and npcs) GPU: 80-95% CPU: 90+% FPS, also varies Heartlands: 50-60 fps Smalltowns: 40-50 fps Saint denis: 40-50fps The cpu was 60 degrees and gpu was 80-83 degrees. **Witcher 3: Wild hunt** In velen, so a open area roaming around: CPU: 50-65% with random 0,5 seconds spikes to 100% once in a while GPU: 96-100% Novigrad (big city, full of buildings and a lot of npc's) CPU: 100% GPU: 98-100% CPU stayed about 60 degrees and the gpu about 80 degrees Now with all that done, which do you guys recommend I get. I dont want to go lower than 60fps, higher isnt a necessity. I also dont really want to drop to low settings. I really want to play at atleast high-ultra with some settings turned to medium. What do you guys recommend me to upgrade? I appreciate the help btw, thanks in advance. Sorry for spelling mistakes if there are any english isnt my first language. EDIT: added gpu degrees

I am going to be selling my laptop in a couple of months to upgrade to a desktop. I'm not sure if this build is overboard and I wanted to get some opinions on it. 1.) Budget & Currency My currency is USD. My budget is around $1000 (1500 on the high end but lower the better), since that looks like around the price I will be able to sell my laptop for. I would really like to get my current list down in price more. 2.) Aim I am just planning to use this PC for gaming. I want a general gaming PC that will be able to comfortably handle whatever game I throw at it. Mostly games such as Destiny and e-sport titles to play with friends, and single player games thrown in there. I am not going to have access to a wired connection so wireless networking is a must. I am planning to upgrade this PC a lot in the future, so I just need a good starting ground right now. I went with x570 since I will be upgrading in the future and will like something that will last me for a while. 3.) Monitors Just one monitor for right now. I would like 144hz. I know the monitor I have on here is a freesync monitor, I'm debating if I should go with a 5700XT and freesync since it seems to be cheaper than saving some money on the 1660Ti but having to spend more on a g-sync monitor. Thoughts on this? 4.) Peripherals I already have a G602 mouse so I only need a keyboard 5.) Why am I upgrading? I am graduating from college and would like to move on from my razer blade for a proper desktop. Thank you for your help!
