I recently received an upgrade for my motherboard and CPU (RAM too but its probably not relevant), would I be able to use the current storage I got (with the current windows boot I am using) as a boot for windows with the new improvements or would this require a fresh install of it on a new storage device because I was thinking of an m.2 for my new mbo but just don't have the cash right now?

I am upgrading form a Lenovo prebuilt, the Lenovo Legion T530-28ICB. It has a I5 9400f, 1660ti, 1 dim of 16gb 2666mhz, 520GB of Samsung m.2, and a 2tb hard drive. I am gaming at 1440p at 144hz. Titles like CoD WarZone I can only play at 1080p on 50 - 60 fps with nothing open in the background and on the lowest setting. I will also be reusing my storage. Is there anything I should change or add to this list? It looks something similar to the image.

I am currently using x2 8GB of ‎F4-3600C18D-16GTZR, and would like to add another x2 8GB to my PC and the non X version is out of stock. Can I use the ‎F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX instead? Will there be any issue if I use it ? HI everyone, I've built a few PCs in my time but always from base components. My gf is in need of a laptop or pc for studying. She is on a very limited budget so is looking to spend as little as possible. She owns an old dell all in one prebulit. It runs rather slow so is not particularly useful. The motherboard has a 1150 socket and currently holds a 4th gen Pentium. I was looking to upgrade this to something of the same generation but a little more powerful say an old I5 or even an old i7 as they are going fairly cheap second hand. Will I have any problems with the Mobo being "locked" or something to do with the OS or will i be okat to simply swap the consumer CPU into the prebuilt custom mobo. Ill probably look into buying her an SSD to speed things up to.

Hey guys Ive been seeing a whole bunch of new PC parts comming out and Ive been looking at mine like a peice of trash because... it sorta is. I mean it can play SFV at low settings at 60 fps 49 min but still I would like to upgrade. Based off of these specs what do you guys think I should do with this PC? I want to give new life to my first PC. About 4 years ago I bought my first PC. At the time I was pretty scared about PC building related stuff so I pretty much let myself get guided through recommendations on what to buy. At the end of the day I ended up with a decent system (I think), but I didn't really understand exactly what I had on my hands. As a noob, it's generally easier to stick to the rule: "the higher the number, the better". So that's basically what I went with, but at least I had a general idea of what each component does (that's something, I guess?). Today I've decided to try to enter this scary and confusing world of PC building, I don't really know where to start but I like computers and I would like to understand them better. As I said, I bought my PC about 4 years ago, so I'm beginning to experience some of that feeling of being left behind. For this upgrade I would love if any of you nice guys could help me out, telling me what component(s) should I upgrade on your opinion. Also, it would be nice if you could explain the reason for it (perhaps teach me some of your valuable knowledge). Finally, maybe after checking my PC specs you see something that doesn't seem right or that could've been picked better. In that case, I'd appreciate any suggestions so that I don't make the same mistakes in the future when I attempt to build a new PC from scratch.
