Hey, im currently looking to buy a laptop, and i want something that can run path of exile decently. I know path of exile is a very demanding game, but i dont wanna spend all too much money so maybe someone has a bit more knowledge on laptops that can recommend me one! also, no desktop suggestions, already have one but im not always at home to use it!

Aim Gaming primarily: Path of Exile which is pretty CPU-heavy but would like to keep open the option to play more GPU-intensive games in the future, CPU-heavy computational projects and GPU-heavy machine learning projects 3. Monitors 1 Monitor; 1920x1080 4. Peripherals Needs Windows. Care for practicality and stability/ protection of case over how pretty it is - very open to people's advice on the topic. 5. Why are you upgrading? I want to play Path of Exile and upgrade because it's running at very low FPS (0 at times) on my graphic card-less work laptop. Generally I'd like to be able to play games at reasonable FPS and since I have the budget, I'd like to use it. Path of Exile also tends to be pretty CPU-heavy, so there should probably be a little more priority on maxing out the CPU than the GPU. I am also not in a huge rush so in case there is a great deal/ new hardware coming up, I'm down to wait a few weeks maybe a month or two. First of all, im pretty newbie in terms of any pc component/specifications stuff, however i feel that very disappointing to have 0 fps drops in certain games with recently upgraded hardware. Intel Core i7-9700K Gigabyte Z390 GAMING X Patriot Viper DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3733MHz CL17 Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Gaming OC 8GB Adata XPG SX8200 PRO M.2 NVMe PCIe 512GB Seasonic PRIME GX-750 80Plus Platinum 750W be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 When i open game called: "Path of Exile" (didnt test too much on other games, cuz its my 2nd day), i started having 0 fps drops. I understand that this game's optimization is far from perfect, however even then, i shouldnt be freezing that much. Friends with similar hardware, or some with worse ones dont experience similar issues, so i decided to search for answer. Movie showing what i mean: (14s-ish+) https://streamable.com/27bbz8 What i tried so far: - Stress-Tests with FurMark (to check gpu) - 4 hours OCCT (to check cpu) - CrystalDiskInfo (to check disks) - didnt try ramtest but asked shop to "borrow" me other RAM (Goodram 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz IRDM PRO CL17) - Turning off Vsync, while setting 60fps either in game or in nvidia panel as "limit" - Switching to different XMP for Ram (mostly lowering it down from 3600) Im pretty running out of ideas. So i built a budget gaming rig about a few months ago and now i feel like the GPU is clunky, here's the build : B450 M-HDV MOBO AM4 CPU socket AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon VEGA Graphics An 8Gb RAM stick GEIL EVO 2400MHz GTX 1060 3Gb GPU Windforce WD caviar blue 1Tb 7200RPM PSU Smart power 400W 80+ Bronze To be exact i'm having issues with a game called Path of Exile, it has a lot of graphic changes -see photo- and when those changes happen i get acute FPS drops from 70 FPS to 25-ish and that's with Vsync deactivated. I'd like to know if the problem is in the GPU or some other component is bottlenecking it. PS : i have a mediocre screen -RES 1360 * 766 - PPS : if you have any tips on how to make the rig better please fire away i'm very new to this world.

HeyGuys, i need your help, i am currently playing a video game that has a "Ladder" that is sadly influenced by loading times. Reducing Loading Times is honestly the biggest part of racing right now. So i started off with playing the Game off my SSD which has like 500mb read/write. My loading times were no way near being able to compete for top spots. Then i downloaded different Ramdisk Software, with PrimoRamdisk beeing the fastest at around 8000mb/s i tested. What i usually do is just put the entire game folder on the RamDisk and then start the game from there. That improved Loading Times by around 40%, but they are still almost double from what the best player has. My Specs are Ryzen 5 1600 at 3.8ghz / 32gb 3000mhz cl16 ram at 2666 atm tho because ryzen 1 :( I then started to try alot of stuff... i clocked my ram differently (higher mhz / lower timings; higher timings/ lower mhz) didnt really do anything. Tried resizing the Textures as i thought maybe my CPU is bottlenecking. (As the game files is one big Archive (like .zip or .rar i guess) so i assume the CPU needs to extract the files needed from that archive and that might be slow.) Didnt do anything aswell. I pretty much tried all the start parameters and all the ingame settings but those dont seem to change anything aswell. A thing i noticed was that when i swapped back and forth between zones the loading times got alot faster ( i assume due to cached data?) So if anyone can help me understand the following things would be super nice! Would i get even faster loads if i would get alot faster ram? My CPU is only at ~10% during loading screens so i assume it has nothing to do with CPU bottlenecking because of extracting.) Is there a way to increase Cach duration / size for games or this game in particular? How does the system decide how much and how long data is Cached or is it decided by the game? If so where is data like that stored? Is it in the .exe file or somewhere in the game data? It seems like all cached data is lost after one or two different loadings or after ~30seconds. In the game archive are about 200.000 files but the total size is only 20gb. Is there like a bottleneck how fast ram can get the Files to the CPU and back i guess? As i get the files from Ram and then Cach them on ram again i guess? i read some threats saying that its faster to extract files from one disc to another because of i/o operations. Sorry boys i am by far not an IT guy... just the limited knowledge i got while gaming so dont laugh at me to hard alot of this might be super wrong. Thanks for any help tho!

as of now, PoE is still a DX9 game and with the switch to DX11, they can multithread the whole engine, including the renderer
