Hello, has anybody tried this memory: G.SKILL RipjawsV DDR4 32GB (4x8GB) 3200MHz, CL16 F4-3200C16Q-32GVK in this motherboard: MSI B350m Gaming Pro (obviously only two sticks)? They are not oficially compatible, so I wanted to check before trying myself.

Quick question guys (possibly stupid): does the MSI B350 PC MATE motherboard have on board wifi receiver, or will I have to buy a wifi adapter? This one: https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/product/c2DzK8/msi-b350-pc-mate-atx-am4-motherboard-b350-pc-mate

So i am building a pc for a friend and I got him a R5 1600x and paired it with a msi b350 gaming pro carbon. It is not booting with this ram: Patriot Viper Elite 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2666MHz https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820225075&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Memory+(Desktop+Memory)-_-N82E16820225075&gclid=CjwKCAjw3rfOBRBJEiwAam-GsKEf-yelcO_QU4UC-mUDvsT1l8l1pg_Vwv7qcKEJK1ZTW6oo0QRIKBoCXM8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I used some of my own to install windows and do a bios update but the thing is not booting with the new ram i purchased. Any ideas??

Hello, I built a new rig today. It's made of a Ryzen 5 1600, a MSI B350 Tomahawk, 2x8GB of Ballistix 2400MHz and an old R9 270X. The problem is : the CPU_Led on the motherboard stays on ! It does not go off except for some seconds when I swith on the PC. I can use the PC, everything seems to work fine, but I still have this red CPU_Led on... I wonder if this can be something bad ? Thanks !

Good day to all of you. First of all, i am new in these kinds of forums. Please forgive me if i have posted on the wrong thread. This is the problem i have. I have build a PC (see specs in the bottom). This is my first build, but i have quite a lot of experience when it comes to computers (specially hardware). I didn't have any problems while building my PC and i knew exactly where to put everything. After i built my PC, it booted up correctly (it took a little long but i know its OK if its the first time it's booting). I installed windows 10 and continued to install all the drivers. I downloaded the drivers from the official MSI web-site. The PC was running good. Though it took a little to long to boot. Actually, it took to long to POST (like 20 or more seconds). One problem i noticed is that, every time i turned my PC off, windows would shut down, but the fans kept spinning and the LEDs in the case and everywhere were still on for like an other 15 seconds (Add that to the shut down time of windows and it took like 40 seconds to completely shut down the PC). The same was happening while booting up. I press the button, lights and fans turn on for like 20 seconds, then the PC POSTS, then it starts Booting. Also, the RAM is 3000 mhz. In bios, my ram was underclocked at 2133 mHz. I read in the internet and i found out that this is a common problem with that motherboard and that updating the bios would fix that (and many other problems). So cool, i downloaded the latest bios (v1.5) and upgraded my bios(v1.2) at the time. -After i updated, i saw that now the ram was running at 2133mHz but i could easily OC it at 2666mHz. I was OK with that, though it was not 3000 mHz. But i still had the other problems. Long POSTING and BOOTING times, fans and LEDs still on after Windows shuts down so i went to the bios and disabled splash screen and some other stuff. After i did that, i restarted my PC and yeah it was somewhat faster but now i had an other problem. Everytime i turn my pc on, it posts (takes long again), starts the Windows 10 boot (the circle loading screen starts) but right after 1 or 2 seconds, pc restarts and it boots up again but it boots into the BIOS. So now every time i turn on my pc it boots into the bios. Yes, the bios does memorize all the settings, time and ram frequency. -I tried to fix this in the bios and WOW, now i have an other problem. Each time i turn my PC on, in the moment i press the power button (before it posts and stuff), a creepy pixelated image is shown on my screen, then it proceeds with the usual, (boot windows, restart while booting windows, restart PC, show that image again, boot the BIOS, I exit bios, PC restarts, shows that creepy image, posts (long), boots (longer) and now i can use my pc. Great :D). An other thing that i noticed is that now after all this has happened, when windows boots up, it is laggy (like when i want to type my password it takes some time for the login screen to show up) Also yesterday, for some reason my CPU was only being used like 12% in Counter Strike GO, but i assume (And hope) its because of CSGO. SPECS: Processor: AMD Ryzen 1700 (Amazon.com); Motherboard: MSI B350 Tomahawk (the one with red LED) (Amazon.com); RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000 mHz (Amazon.com); HDD: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 2 TB (2016 i think) (Newegg.com); Case: NZXT s340 Elite (Newegg.com); GPU: PowerColor RX480 4GB Red Dragon (Newegg.com); OS: Microsoft Windows 10; I will get an SSD eventually and see if that fixes the booting problem. Thank you very very much for reading this far. I wish you all the best ^^

Yesterday i got my new rig up and runing: MSI b350 PC MATE r5 1500x 2x4gb hyperX 2400mhz ram (at MSI website listed as supported for my mobo) When 1st time i started PC i have seen some weird thing, it shows only 4 gb of ram at top of screen (where you can find specs like clock speed etc), but when i went to memory tab, there's listed 2 dimms populated from 4, and both listed coractly as 2x4 gb dimms.. I couldnt install windows so i updated bios (and still same thing with 4 gb shown in bios) and menaged to install windows 10/ 64 bit. In windows it shows me installed memory 8gb (3.95gb usable). Does anyone know to solve this, is this normal on ryzen?

Hello, LTT Community! I am a casual gamer who is looking to make a modest gaming build. I am playing RPGs primarily (Skyrim, Diablo, Path of Exile, Shadow of Mordor, Batman) and some games like Overwatch, Warframe, Heroes of the Storm and Unreal Tournament. I am not what you might call a competitive gamer! I like pretty graphics and having fun with my friends over Discord ? I am trying to make a new PC build (ATX setup) that would allow me to play at 1080p, 60Hz monitor with consistent 60fps (drops to 45 fps are acceptable, but undesirable) I am considering a variant with AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU and MSI Radeon 580 8GB GPU. I started with an Intel i5-8400 CPU and GTX 1060 6GB GPU in mind, but the prices are too high for me. I am in a position, where I need to help my parents financially since they are living in an underdeveloped area and have almost no opportunity to work. With that in mind, I am hoping there are good souls among you who would be willing to share their time and help me create a nice and *potentially* future-proof build suiting my needs. I would love to play Warframe, the Witcher 3, the Outer Worlds, the Savage Planet, the Pathless and Scavenger's Game on very high settings with the setup listed below. Hello, this is my first time building a PC and I‘m clueless what I‘m doing wrong. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 3 1200 with Stock Cooler Mobo: MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX 1050TI OC Edition RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 single PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Powe 10 500W HDD: 2TB Seagate Barracuda Case: Kolink Observatory ( Has RGB fans on a separate fan controller with Molex Power so no fans connected to board, maybe relevant?) Problem: When I press the power button, CPU, GPU, PSU and case fans all spin up. The GPUs RGB starts lighting up aswell, so there‘s power to all the components. However, I am not getting any signal on my monitor, it stays black. I have connected the HDMI to the GPU as there‘s no iGPU on my chip. The Mobo has four debug LEDs in this order: CPU, DRAM, VGA, BOOT. As soon as I turn on the system, CPU lights up, shortly followed by DRAM. After like 5 seconds both lights go out and that‘s it. Neither VGA nor Boot ever light up. I have installed everything accordingly, checked all the connections, which are all snug. I tried the RAM in all four slots. I reset CMOS but nothing is happening. I gladly appreciate everyone that is able to help me out.

How do i update my bios so it gets compatible? I just bought a msi b350 pc mate (for a ryzen cpu) and a 16 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT grau DDR4-2400 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit. This ram should be compatible with that mother board but probably only with a newer bios version. I'ts my first pc and I'm panicking about not being able to update the bios due to the incompatible ram. Please help me. Thanks in advance. PS: The parts are still during transport. Ergo I can't test anything. I hope you can still help me.

Hi, I'm facing problem with my desktop. When I start my PC it doesn't show any bios screen. The first thing on my monitor is windows welcome screen. Windows loading screen also doesn't appear. My monitor is Samsung CFG70 Curved gaming monitor. The monitor is ok, i tried other system builds from some friends. Theirs bios screen appear in my monitor. I have installed monitor driver, Display driver(graphics). Even when windows got regular update, windows update screen also not visible after restarting. Once My pc went to recovery mode and that also didn't appear. Just like bios screen. I went to retailer when first time started my PC for setting up windows. there was nothing! then they tried 720p monitor and bios appeared. Another thing, I tried my build on my TV. The bios screen appeared there but not in my monitor. Here is my build: Processor: Ryzen 5 1600X Mobo: MSI Tomahawk B350 Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 MHz (currently at 2132 MHz) GPU: XFX HD 7870 SSD: M.2 Sata III WD Green 120 GB (boot Device) I tried google but my problem is totally different so it doesn't help. I contacted MSI support center they couldn't solve it. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

cpu My PC has been doing some scary things
Plynth3r posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So, I've recently built a PC with a Ryzen 5 1500X and a MSI B350 PC Mate mobo. Everything was working fine, I had a few problems with idle temps and fixed it thanks to some of you guys, but I checked my voltage and noticed that it went from like 1.312V to around 1.45 or even 1.55 sometimes. My VCORE was on auto, and I heard this voltage spikes were caused by XFR, so I manually set the voltage to 1.3V. Everything was working fine, I even ran a stress test for a few hours to check if it was stable, but then when I was playing R6 Siege my monitors and everything turned off but the PC was still running, I looked at my motherboard and the CPU led was on, that means that it wasn't working. I restarted the PC a few times and it worked fine every time I did, but today when I turned the PC on the same thing happened. It starts fine, I can get to the bios with no problems, but it stops working during the Windows 10 login screen. Thinking it was the vcore, I raised it to 1.312V and it worked... Until the next time I turned the PC on. There's people that told me that I should disable "Core Performance Boost" when setting the voltage by myself, and it should work, is this true? Also, I noticed that the CPU constantly runs at 3.6GHz instead of 3.5 (which is the base clock, I'm running at stock frequency with stock cooler). PD: Sorry if I said something wrong, English is not my main language and I was a little bit rushed
