Hey there! I am new to the whole AMP thing and got one from my family after moving out into my own home (this one was formerly used to power 2x8 Ohm 50W Speakers which were more then enough for the around 80m² of space) - as the title implies I do know that this is by far not the best combination but it definitely works and I am having great fun with it, HOWEVER: What do I miss by using this combination? I have a MSI Z87 MPOWER Motherboard without any Software from Creative (just Realtek's 6.0.1.8004 Software for the ALC1150 Codec) https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/Z87-MPOWER.html Connected directly into my NAD302 Ampifier on the front "phones" port... https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/nad/302.shtml ... are my brand new Beyerdynamic DT990 250 Ohms https://viva-telecom.org/SHOP/FILES/BEYERDYNAMIC/dt-990-pro-rp.pdf I would love to hear (lol, savage joke) from you about what I could change in order to improve my hearing experience (without big investments) even further! Thanks in advance!

I am in the process of building a new PC for myself and there are some things that I am uncertain about, mainly which CPU (5820K vs 5930K) and which motherboard (MSI X99A Mpower vs MSI X99A SLI Plus) should I use given what I plan to do with my system. I plan to overclock the CPU to 4,5Ghz and at some point in the future, the GPU and maybe the RAM as well. I want it to be a super fast for various multi-tasking requirements. In the future I plan to run a 2-way SLI setup along with a fully functional M2 PCIe x4 (for my OS) I plan to use the PC for videography (making, editing and uploading videos), photography, gaming, streaming and a few other similar operations. Custom water-cooling will be used and will be upgraded in the future for a themed build. The currently setup that I am planning to build is the following: PHANTEKS Enthoo Primo MSI X99A Mpower OR MSI X99A SLI Plus Intel Core i7 5930K OR 5820K G.Skill RipJaws 4 black DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-2800 Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming 6 GB Samsung SSD SM951 256GB, M.2 - PCIe Samsung SSD 850 Evo 500GB, SATA (possible raid 1 in the future) EVGA SuperNOVA G2 1000W MS Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (EN) (Custom water-cooling will be used and will be upgraded in the future for a themed build.) The 2 questions that I really can’t figure out are: Is it really worth going for the 5930K processor and paying an extra 200€ for the extra 12 PCIe lanes and the 0,2 GhZ for my system given what I plan to do & given the motherboards that I want to use with it? Or am I better off saving 200€ and getting the 5820K instead? Which motherboard is really better for what I want to do? Does it really make any difference between the MSI X99A Mpower and MSI X99A SLI Plus? The only difference that I have found is that the Mpower has a 12 voltage regulator and the SLI Plus has 8 and is slightly cheaper. Any help & Feedback is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

Hey guys, just a quick question. I've been wanting to do a yellow build for a while now. I really like the black and yellow color scheme, and so I've been looking for a very specific kind of ram. it's the Avexir MPower set, part of their blitz series. Unfortunately, i've had little luck finding them new, or used for that matter. What makes it worse is that there is another set under the same name of their Core series, which doesn't have the mpower branding i'm looking for, which wouldn't bother me, if it wasn't just as rare. I have had luck finding a 8gb kit of the red gaming dragon ram, but it would be difficult to make them yellow. Plus, it's no better in speed or capacity then my gskill ram I currently have. I was hoping you guys could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Or, if you guys can help me find a yellow ram equivalent (such as crucial platinum dominators with the lighting kit painted yellow..)

MoBo: Z87 Mpower Cpu: i7 4790k RAM: 8GB DDR3 So i just changed my gpu from 7970 msi reference to MSI 280X Twin Frozr. Now the damn pc wont boot. Screen is absolutely black. I know the pc doesnt go to windows because keyboard has no CAPS lock light when i press capslock and the pc shuts down with simple press of the power button, not like usually when it needs long press to shut down. 280X is not broken since it is working in my other pc just fine, and the pcie slot isnt broken because other gpus work in it. What to do? PS. I still have the 7970.

I was planning my loop and I couldn't figured how to drain efficiently. My reservoir is hidden, so I'm thinking of just added some clear tubing with a fill port on the end. I'm going to get the EK D5 X-RES Top 100 w/ D5 Vario Pump , so I'm wondering what fitting+port I'm going to need (Really confused about this.)

Hello, I have a relatively recent computer with these specs: 4690k Asus R9 280x DCUII MSI Z87 MPower Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600mhz 1TB Seagate Barracuda Now here's my problem (kind of): I bought the 280x used from another guy and I knew there were alot of these cards with problems on artifacting, but it was on warranty so I was like "If its not working properly I just get a new one", this was at the time the 960 came out wich I was disappointed with the performance/price compared to others. I have made ALOT of stress tests to the graphics card and I have found absolutely no evidence of artifacting, however sometimes in the middle of a game a frame fails to display properly and it comes with alot of white/pink, not sure, its too fast, but this is during a 1h game period or more! I can't exacly prove this is the graphic's card fault or a driver problem or whatever! What do you guys think I should do? Its almost running out of warranty so I need to find out fast if it has anything. I'm thinking about overclocking the card a bit and see if it shows up, but I can't really RMA the card because it artifacts when overclocking soooo.... yeah.... Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know where I can get the MSI MPower Z97 in Europe or from a NA store that ships internationally? I can't find anything. Have they stopped manufacturing the product? (Sweden) Edit: Had to go for the MAX AC edition instead since it was the only one available.

Allright so... I know that Z97 has alot of benefits over Z87, but as it stand, the retailer I usually buy my parts from is trying to get rid of the Z87 MB's so what would you choose: Z97 Gaming 3 - 125€ OR Z87 MPOWER - 125€ The Z87 is really appealing, the draw backs aren't that big of a deal when you see how beast this motherboard is, however the Z97 shows more future proof technology. Your call?

Hi. I am going to do my second attempt on making my machine into a hackintosh. My specs are as follows: MSI M-Power z77 Intel Core i7 2600 Zotac GeForce GTX 780 Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz RAM (8GB) Couple of SSDs and a couple of HDDs. I am running a custom BIOS on my motherboard. I tried following this guide for installing OS X with the MSI M-Power. Last time I managed to boot and install, but once inside OS X I could not find any drivers and all animations were stuttering. I was not patient enough and gave up. I will be posting my progression here once I start my second attempt. I´d like to add that I am very new to this. I do not know much about kernels and all of that. I have one question: How large does my USB-stick have to be? The one I put Yosemite on.

My z77 mpower exploded some days ago (one of the voltage converter) so i try to contact the retailer where i bought the board... but the retailer closed his store so i ask the MSI support how i can replace my defect board (bought it 5 months ago). But MSI just say that they are sorry that there premium board broke after some month and they can´t help me because the don´t do direct RMA´s on mainboards and i have to talk to the retailer if i want a new board. So i write them a new email where i write again that there is no retailer anymore witch i can contact... they write me back that there is no way that they can help me and that it´s probably anyway my fault and that there are outer manufacturers if i´m not happy with there support so i should buy a new motherboard from them Did anyone have suchlike experiences with the MSI Support or any suggestions what i can do next?

Hey guys. I want to build with a MSI MPower Max. It has a black and yellow colour sceme. What RAM should I buy? Avexir MPower looks best because of the matching colour sceme, but it is quite slow. What difference would it make and in what situations? Is it worth to spend more and have a worse look (imho) with Corsair Dominator Platinum? Avexir: 2x8GB CL10 (DDR3-1600) 120€ Corsair: 2x8GB CL10 (DDR3-2400) 220€

Hi there, I recently did an upgrade to my setup and chose a MSI MPower Max, I also have two Samsung 840 Pro SSDs and wish to set them up in RAID but as far as I can see, i can only set up Super Raid (A utility that comes with the mobo). If i setup Super Raid, it does not connect either drive together. what could i do to possibly fix this issue?

So I have a Quickfire TK keyboard which requires me to press the NUMLK in case I want to use a few keys such as delete insert, home etc... The BIOS for the Z77 MPOWER requires me to hit delete to access it but that's not possible with this keyboard since the NUMLK key is unresponsive outside of windows. In my 990FX Sabertooth either del or F2 would grant me access to the BIOS so I didn't have this issue before, on this board pressing F2 doesn't appear to be doing anything. Is there any alternative key to del that I should try ?

I want to get a new motherboard (my current one has a horrible BIOS and is lacking in features) and CPU (the i5 isn't keeping up for what I am doing so I am going for a 4770K) and I need some help. I can get the Z87 MPOWER MAX for $179.99 USD and the Maximus VI Hero for $169.99 USD. I know they differ in quality, the Hero being mid-high end and the MPOWER MAX being an extremely high end board, but I wonder which one is better. I for one love MSI's BIOS and the board itself, but I have never tried ASUS boards. The ASUS board is nice and all, but the color scheme is too conventional. The MPOWER, on the other hand, has a much different color scheme. Also, any suggestions under $200 are appreciated.

Does anyone know if the 600 ohm headphone amp on MSI Mpower is just for the front audio ports? I'd like to connect my headphones at the back of my case, since a) I might put my computer on a desk and b) I might buy a keyboard with audio pass through. I'd also like to buy that gorgeous Mpower and usable integrated sound card might be a good excuse.

So, I was looking for memory for my upcoming build that uses the MSI Z87 MPower board, but I wasn't sure what to get. I'll be getting two 8GB modules, but I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Any suggestions?

Hello! I have been stalking around on the forum since the beginning, and now I have a couple of questions I really hope you guys can help me figure out. 1) The "Power phase LEDs" on my MPower z77 are kinda freaking out. When I have the computer set to "high performance" all of the LEDs are on, never changing, but, when i have it set to balanced it constantly flashes between only 2 being lit, to all. On, off, on, off and so on. Looks like i have a small flash inside my computer. I don't think it is the mobo, because I had this problem on an earlier MPower z77 aswell (all the rest of the components where the same ones). 2)A couple of my USB 3 ports in the back does not work, and I can't figure out why. I do not think they are physically broken, although then it would be the "Logitech Unifying dongle" who broke it, since it was the first component I used in the ports <_< 3) How loud is the graphics card supposed to be when at 30% fan speed? All of the other fans in my computer are completely silent (turned down all the way), but when it is quiet i can hear the GPU cooler (GTX 680 Lightning) quite well... (Is there any safe way to turn it even further down, except putting it under water? ) Hope for some relevant answers! Ok so I recently received my Z87 Mpower board that I want to mod (mostly paint) to make it a white themed board. My plan is to remove the chipset and VRM heatsinks to paint them but I noticed the VRM heatsink has a thermal pad under it. My questions are: Should I replace it? Can I just put it back on as is and be done with it? Does it really matter? If it does, any advice on how to install it / where to buy? Any help is welcome,

Hey, I'm looking at the magnificent G.Skill Ares 2x8Gb kit on sale on newegg.ca (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231560) to replace my current G.Skill Sniper Low voltage 2x4Gb kit on my MSI Mpower Z77. Going to MSI's site to check for compatibility, I see that the test reports for that board are all dead links (http://us.msi.com/product/mb/Z77-MPOWER.html#/?div=TestReport). Anyone have an idea on where I could find the memory test report other than that official source ? Thanks,

Well I have had my z77 mpower board for 2 months and I have had an annoying problem from the get go but I think it was much. Originally Whenever I would turn off my pc the clear CMOS light would stay on and my usb and all lights on my usb devices would stay on. Now sometimes my CMOS light is on other times it's not. Same thing happens with my usb stuff sometimes the lights are on other time they are on. Any idea of what's going on or do I just live with it?

I have been looking at a company called AVEXIR for my ram. I want to make a custom order to match my Z87 MPOWER MAX but I am not sure if it will ship to Canada.
