I want to know if all gaming cloth mouse pads typically use the same materials or if there are some that are outright different. My reason for this is because I seem to be allergic to all the gaming cloth mousepads I have tried and for a while took some allergy pills to suppress it. After a while medicine seemed to not work and I moved on to hard mousepads but they are all horrible for me. I just want to go back to a cloth that isn't gunna cause me issues. I have tried the SteelSeries qck, Logitech mouse pads, corsair MM and even a custom image mouse pad from a online store the all gave me a reaction but they all feel the same. I had a long time ago just a normal office mouse pad that had a gel wrist wrest on it that I never had a issue with but it just wore out and was small but did feel like a rougher material. I just want to know if there might be a bigger gaming mouse pad made of something that isn't the same as most of the mouse pads on the market now? P.S. I dont know what I'm allergic to specifically I dont know anything else I'm allergic to in real life and allergy test where i live cost to much for something they may not test for because idk what a mouse pad would have that someone could test for really and dont feel the cost would justify it.

Just watched the ShortCircuit video on a glass mouse mat and got me wondering… Does it actually matter to invest in a much more expensive one? Examples: * $14.99USD: https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads/qck-series?size=l * $59.99USD: https://www.razer.com/gaming-mouse-mats/Razer-Acari/RZ02-03310100-R3U1 * $29.99: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g440-hard-gaming-mouse-pad.943-000098.html * $49.99: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g840-cloth-xl-gaming-mouse-pad.943-000117.html

Hi! I'm looking for a new mousemat for my setup, I'm currently using a Corsair MM350 XL (see link) but an older version without sowed edges. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Mousepads/Cloth-Textile-Surface-Mousepads/MM350-Champion-Series-Mouse-Pad/p/CH-9413560-WW What I'm looking for now is a wide mousemat that will cover both my mouse and keyboard (Logitech G915 TKL Wireless & Logitech G Pro Wireless) . I'm looking for something that is: + approx. 900 x 400 x 3-4 mm + black + minimal logo (black>grey>white) + No contrast color This is what i've found so far but I'm not perfectly satisfied with either of them. I know, I'm very picky. Did i miss anything in my search, out of these the fnatic and steelseries are the closest to what I'm looking for. CM MP510 Extra Large https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/peripheral/mouse-pads/mp510/#image-Item4 + Correct dimensions (900x400) - Purple logo, why? Fnatic Dash XD https://shop.fnatic.com/products/dash-xd-xl-desk + Really clean - Too deep (950x500) Steelseries QcK Heavy XXL https://sv.steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads/qck-heavy-series?size=xxl + Corrent size - not a fan of their logo Logitech G840 XL https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g840-cloth-xl-gaming-mouse-pad.943-000117.html + Correct size - Blue edges Razer Gigantus V2 XXL https://www.razer.com/gaming-mouse-mats/Razer-Gigantus-V2/RZ02-03330400-R3U1 + Correct size - Green edges and branding Thankful for any suggestions!

So i'm currently decorating my setup with as much as i can (led case fans, led strips for case, led stripts for desk underglow, keyboard and mouse, everything green) and wanted to know if the razer firefly was worth it (considering the silly price for a mouse pad) if it looks nice, that's enough for me, i'd just like to get some opinions.

I can't decide between these mousepads... I like the friction of the Steelseries, lower friction i dont like as much. But I still like the higher quality build of the Zowie mousepads. QcK Heavy = More Control > Speedier design but P-SR/G-SR = Higher build quality > Unstitched edges What should I pick? I play CSGO at 800 dpi. Thankyou.

I'm looking into peripherals for the family PCs and am rather fond of the Roccat stuff available, but I'd like to get some other recommendations to get a better idea of what would be best. I have the following requirements: First mouse is for a leftie, a very basic mouse is fine, but a couple of extra buttons would be nice. It needs to be very robust, but nothing special here. Second mouse needs buttons in moderate to large quantity. Gaming mouse is best and my first idea was the Roccat Nyth as it has everything. Third mouse similar to the second mouse, but maybe toned down a little on the buttons. Corded mice are preferred, and mouse size would ideally be somewhat on the big side, but not too far above normal. First keyboard doesn't need anything special, full size keyboard with the numpad is vital, and some extra macro keys would be nice, but not necessary. Definitely mechanical. Second keyboard needs plenty of macro keys and little noise. Numpad is again vital. Definitely mechanical. Third keyboard is similar to the first, but taken up a tad on the features. Again, mechanical. No scissor switches anywhere; I cannot stand them. I hate them almost as much as membrane keyboards. Media buttons are unnecessary, but if the keyboard has them then there isn't a problem. Lights on keyboards and mice aren't needed and aren't really wanted, but if it's a good mouse/keyboard, there isn't a problem. Mousemats that can go under the keyboard and mouse would be nice, but not vital. They don't need to be too size-y though as we tend to use relatively high sensitivity. In terms of price, there isn't a huge problem, as long as the value is good. Though I would be more keen to buy a keyboard for under £100-£150 and a mouse for under £100 - but if there is one that is above that range but is really worth it then why not? Thanks for any help.

Hi, so recently I just got my first custom printed mousemat (unfortunately unable to find whether it's inked or ironed-on) and I want to preserve the printing as long as I can through natural usage of the mousemat. I just wondered if I should be concerned about the mousemat design wearing out over time as I use a low DPI on my mouse and I imagine that it might wear down the design a bit the more I slide my mouse around?

Hi guys, very soon I am going to build my own pc but I still need some new peripherals. I was thinking about the mm711 because I have pretty small hands. For the mousemat I have no clue same for the keyboard. I was thinking about the apex pro or maybe the gmmk custom but I really don't know. I like linear switches and small keyboards like 60% or tkl. Maybe you guys could help me out? I would really appreciate that thanks! PS: I have no budget but I don't want to spend 400 euro's on peripherals, that's just stupid in my opinion.

Hi, I am looking for a new large mouse mat type thing, I originally had the Mionix Sargas but the edges went to hell. Since then I have been using a Razer Goliathus. it is time for a new one though, I was looking at the XXL Mionix Alioth which has stitched edges but I don't want to end up with a fragile mouse mat again. So, what do you recommend?

Hi! I'm looking for a mousepad that is exactly like this one, only it is white instead of black: http://www.amazon.com/Kupx-Official-Extended-Functional-Non-slip/dp/B01263JBUS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_229_8?ie=UTF8&dpID=517umK3sO6L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0031GZSMX6NBZ0QRC5MF I really want the blue on the outside. Any help would be amazing :)!

I was just wondering if anyone knows how the surface of Glorious Gaming Mouse Mat the differs from the surface of the SteelSeries QCK. I have been using the normal QCK for almost two years but I am thinking of switching to the Glorious Gaming Mouse Mat due to its larger size (also cheaper then buying an extended QCK). I play competitive games such as CS:GO so something like this could affect my playing experience. Thanks!

Hi guys. Which one should I choose? I have a razer deathadder 2013, I play all kind of games, which I want the most comfortable mouse mat, I also hear about the Glorious extended gaming mouse pad, It's cheaper than the others but the shipping to my country + taxation is the same price than the Corsair MM200 Wide. So what do you say guys? which is the better of the 3 in general?

This is basically the same as washing any other fabric like a carpet or a seat in your car. So it should be fairly straight forward for most people Before you start, I'd say that you might need to be careful using this technique, if you have a mousepad with printing on. As you can see, the Roccat logo on mine is nearly gone, actually after only one single wash. But the alternative for me was to spend 30$ on a new one. Every soap has different properties. Something like the carpet cleaner I used is very aggressive. It's designed to remove really tough stains from fabric. Whereas normal dish soap is designed to remove grease from tables or plates. I guess it might be the perfect balance between too aggressive while not being too gentle. The soap you use with your clothing might be worth a try though. Since it's for clothing (like t-shirts with prints on) I imagine it would do a decent job You could put your mousepad in a bucket with some moderate warm water and however much clothing soap you see fit. Let it sit for a few minutes and then carefully squeeze out the water and let it dry If you want to be very careful, then use some moderate warm water, without soap or anything. If you have prints, then be careful not to rub on those. After that you just let it dry. It might take some time, since squeezing out water could also destroy your prints if you aren't careful. I have a few options for cleaning fabrics. The one to the right is Vanish stain remover. Basically the average household stain remover. The one to the left is Sonax foam upholstery cleaner. I've just gotten the Sonax a few days ago for my car, so I'm going to try that. Most mousepads has like 1mm of fabric so I really doubt anything would have a hard time cleaning a mousepad This is what my mousepad looks like after months upon months of use. But the old sweat and dead skin makes for a good blackboard! Start by making the mousepad wet, with the hottest water you can touch without getting your hands burned. No, sadly it isn't grease you can see floating in the water. That would be a bit too easy. It is air bubbles. Get the entire mousepad wet, and rub the hot water into the fabric. This is the Sonax hard at work. The foam have two jobs. One is to loosen the dirt/grease and the other one is to lift up the dirt/grease. Let it sit for a few minutes. The instructions says 3-5 minutes for the Sonax, which might be different on the one you're using. However since the facric is very thin, a minute or two should be enough. If it's really dirty, you can help it by rubbing the foam into the mousepad. Rinse the foam off. If it's still dirty, you can redo the foam step. After the foam is gone and the mousepad is mostly clean. You can fold together the mousepad. And while having hot water running onto the mousepad, you can squeeze that and some more gease out. When you feel like it's clean, then turn off the water, squeeze the water out you can, and let it dry This is the finished product. The mousepad is 4-5 years old, and only took a 5 minute wash to make it appear new Some suggestions from others

Hey everyone, simple question, just looking for opinions. I have recently built myself a gaming rig, and as much as i love all the games i have played (i mainly play fps games), i find my accuracy to be rather poor. I am currently using a cheap WIRELESS logitech laptop mouse, and it is very small and light, and therefore hard to have a steady aim. I am also using an old plastic intel mousepad, which is creased and dented. What i'm asking is, since i am short for money right now, will buying a new gaming mousepad such as the Steelseries Qck gaming mousepad help improve my accuracy? http://www.amazon.co.uk/SteelSeries-Surface-QcK-Mass-PC/dp/B001O867XG/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1390508297&sr=1-2&keywords=SteelSeries+QcK Or is a new wired gaming mouse needed if i want a good experience. Or even both? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, i am looking at these two mice if i do need a new one. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/pc-accessories/pc-gaming-accessories/gaming-mice/steelseries-sensei-raw-laser-gaming-mouse-17825810-pdt.html http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/pc-accessories/pc-gaming-accessories/gaming-mice/corsair-vengeance-m65-laser-gaming-mouse-white-21354574-pdt.html Is this a little pricey for a mouse? Or would spending more be worth it? Thanks

Hey everyone, this may seem like an odd question, but i would like some opinions. I was short for cash after building my new setup, so have not yet got round to buying a new mouse, or a secondary hard drive. I currently have a crappy old mousepad, and a wireless logitech laptop mouse, and i struggle to aim since it is so small and light, and this bugs me when trying to play online FPS games, which i spend a lot of time on. I have around £60, and was thinking about upgrading my mouse to a corsair M65, and buying a new mousepad. The trouble is, i also have no storage space left. I am running a samsung 120GB SSD, and it is full. I have no secondary HDD as the money was short, so am running half my games off of my western digital 1TB passport external drive, which has loads of space, the only problem is slow load times over USB 3.0 which sometimes causes stuttering in game. So i guess my question is, would you recommend me get a new mouse first, and HDD later, or the other way round. I know it may be an odd question, but i honestly don't know. I have never used a gaming mouse before so don't know if they are so important, or is it more important to have the extra internal storage and stick to my crappy mouse for a while longer. It's only because i play games that i feel a mouse would be more important, and i already have some games on my SSD. It's just when i get round to buying BF4, i will need that extra storage... Thanks in advance
