Hello, I'd like to get a tablet, I don't really need it, but I'd like to get one. I already have gaming desktop pc, 6 years old not very portable 15.6" gaming laptop (which I still use for work when I'm not home) and a "small" phone pixel 3a and I'm getting a galaxy s22 soon. As you can see I'm not in the apple ecosystem. I'd like to get a tablet to use around the house, in bed (my laptop gets too hot) and for when I travel or for when I don't need a full pc when I'm around. My main use would be: youtube, netflix, movies, web browsing, social medias and discord, reading e-books and why not some gaming. IPAD MINI PROS: very portable I'd easily carry it everywhere, perfect size for reading, better app optimization than on android, longer support (I guess at least 6 years), cheaper, brighter display for use outside of home, minor but it has better games or better optimized games than android (afaik), center stage (not that important really) CONS: only 64GB (is it enough?), smaller display for media consumption and general use, Ipad OS isn't that well optimized on the Mini in terms of UI sizing, extra money if I want the pen, jelly scrolling, no vanced youtube (goated app I love it) GALAXY TAB S8 PROS: Bigger storage and basically unlimited storage for movies on the sd if I travel, bigger (and good) display is better to watch movies and general use overall, 120Hz refresh rate, you get a pen and a keyboard (but no trackpad, idk how it is to use a tablet with keyboard but no trackpad), you get another tablet that I hope I could sell for 150€ at least, so total cost could go to 480€ but I'd probably get the 45W charger for 45€ so 525€ total (same as Ipad mini), samsung dex can make it more similar to a pc use, better multitasking, better internal camera placement (not that important really), youtube vanced, I have an android phone and I will have a galaxy s22 soon. CONS: Less portable, probably too big for reading and especially out of home like at the beach (what do you think, is it too big?), less bright screen for outside use, worse app optimization (like discord is terrible afaik), less years of support (4 vs the many of the ipad), worse selection of games and less optimized games (none of the famous games runs at 120fps). Considering these things and what products I already own, what would you pick and why? Thanks

I just purchased an ipad mini first generation and want to know if anyone know of a legit jailbreak. I do know 9.3.3 was jail broken but 9.3.5 is not. If you have any way to jailbreak it that would be very helpful thank you.

So i recently had my 1st gen iPad mini repaired after not using it for about a year (i know, procrastination sucks). I haven't updated it since then, and it is currently running ios 8.1. I have many apps that I wish to install that require ios 9, and am wondering how bad it will slow down my iPad. It took a dump on my 4s (although that piece of garbage was used thoroughly by my dad for 3 straight years and now requires an external battery case to run for more than 2 hours, and will freeze regularly during mundane tasks), but the iPad mini has far less use, and 20% higher CPU clock (800mhz vs 1ghz) and 10% higher geekbench scores. Is it worth it?

I always use chrome since when i try safari it is a bit slow, but it frequently shutdowns when i do random things and when i open chrome again it says "chrome didn't shutdown correctly". The device is an iPad Mini Generation 1 16GB which i don't know the full specs yet (gonna find it), it opens Clash of Clans in background also chrome opens average of 20 tabs. What should i do? Should i take this problem and try to learn to blend with? Or should i go back to safari because i didn't try it so long and see how will it change? Or change to ordinary nowadays Touch ID iPad? thank you!

So, I'm about to get around 100$, and I would like to buy an iPad, but I'm not sure which one. I want iPad 2 because the battery and screen are larger, but I like the modern design and black color of iPad mini + the smaller bezels. Both are similar in specs and use iOS 9.3.5. I'm looking for a device that I will use for like a year or so till I get a newer one. My reasons are mainly to watch YouTube/Netflix, to read emails, check social media and to play some games like Clash of Clans. Btw, will some older games like Clash of Clans work fine? Please tell me your thoughts. Thank you!

iPad Mini 2 not powering off, not charging, connecting to wireless networks and not being recognized by computer. My older iPad mini is not charging, is not powering off (however all other functionality of the power button is fine), is not connecting to wi-fi (going into settings and selecting Wi-Fi freezes the app), is not being recognized by my computer (the cord works) and assistive touch works (other than power off function). Any ideas?

I need something like a soundbar or dockingstation for my dad with lightning connecter and good sound. It should be simple to use and come with a wallplug to load the pad. Batteries would be nice but not necessary I'm open to suggestions, price is up to 200$. The only ones I found were for the iPhone Thank you

Okay, so I won a brand new iPad Mini at a raffle, but I really have no use for it, as i already have a Windows tablet, and I have a certain disdain for Apple and their products. I haven't opened the box, so I have no idea what the exact specifications are, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that it's probably the 16GB WiFi only model. My question to you guys is where can I get the most out of trading it in? I've looked on a couple of major retailers' sites, and I keep finding mixed answers, how some customers were entitled to a full value return, and others were offered a mere quarter of market price (so in summation I've found nothing). Any help is appreciated!

One of my first posts on here so go lightly ;p I'm a student who is currently studying in a high school, I have a gaming PC which I use for my school work and gaming but I need a portable option for when I am not at home and I need to do a bit of work. I will obviously use it for a bit of recreational stuff, chromecasting and watching youtube etc. I can afford an Ipad but to be honest I prefer the formfactor of an Ipad Mini which I could get a keyboard for. So, what would you pick? Ipad Mini, Chromebook or Netbook? Edit: I have an Iphone 5 by the way

It'll have a screen with the same resolution as the larger iPad, and is rocking an A7 processor and will cost $399.
