Like the title says, pretty much every account I have got hacked in some way, I have the same 2 passwords for everything I use, I know it's a bad move but I can't remember my passwords, but I thought having 2FA enable on everything would solve that issue, here's what I have: My main gmail with 2fa: I suspect it's hacked cz I keep getting random emails for stuff I didn't sign up for. My steam account with 2fa: yesterday I sent all my friends on steam a $50 steam gift card link apparently. My Instagram that I only use on mobile also with 2fa: ok this one has unironically been hacked for years, I follow like 3000 random accounts, I change my password and spend a month unfollowing them because Instagram has a limit to how many people you can unfollow daily, as soon as I'm back to my normal 300 followers, I get hacked and go back to 3000. Note that all the 2FAs are linked to my phone number and steam is linked to steam guard on my phone aswell, But I never seem to get any verification messages or codes when I get hacked. I know keyloggers exist, idk much about them or how they work and I don't know how to get rid of them, that's why I came here. Cheers

DON'T OPEN THE LINKS IN THE CODE SECTION For (insert unrelated reasons), I logged into an old / deprecated wordpress site of the business I work for that was abandoned years ago but never went offline and I found revisions dating a few months back done by an user with administrative priviledges which is completely unrelated to our business and is none of us. I have no idea how they got the credentials and created a new admin from nowhere. They apparently modified a couple pages (out of hundreds) with links or JS scripts... that are harmless? They are injecting CSS to make the links unreachable by human means. Am I missing something, or what's the point of all of this if nobody can even access the links? #1 <div id="jdGqtOTGYcBmpmzuU"><p><a href="https://schweiz-libido.com/kaufen-kamagra-ohne-rezept-schweiz/">schweiz-libido.com</a></p></div><script type="text/javascript">function mbsRMynmCHvRpg9(){var IBwP=document.getElementsByTagName('he'+'ad')[0];var rBVS='#jdGqtOTGYcBmpmzuU{z-index:296977153;left:-306562379px;display:block;position:fixed;margin:0px 20px;overflow:hidden;}';var u8tW=document.createElement('st'+'yle');u8tW.type='text/css';if(u8tW.styleSheet){u8tW.styleSheet.cssText=rBVS}else{u8tW.appendChild(document.createTextNode(rBVS))}IBwP.appendChild(u8tW)}mbsRMynmCHvRpg9();</script> #2 <div id="JwudYnVvgWQvGXRPvb1y5bG8"><p><a href="https://libido-portugal.com/cialis-generico-portugal/">libido-portugal.com</a></p></div><script type="text/javascript">function TKrAJtSkhs77Cd1C1ag(){var U2w=document.getElementsByTagName('hea'+'d')[0];var Ns3='#JwudYnVvgWQvGXRPvb1y5bG8{overflow:hidden;position:fixed;top:-91189088px;z-index:955774884;display:block;margin:0px 20px;}';var QUEe=document.createElement('st'+'y'+'l'+'e');QUEe.type='text/css';if(QUEe.styleSheet){QUEe.styleSheet.cssText=Ns3}else{QUEe.appendChild(document.createTextNode(Ns3))}U2w.appendChild(QUEe)}TKrAJtSkhs77Cd1C1ag();</script> Another link <a href ="https://it-frm.com/comprare-idrossiclorochina-online/" style="border-color: transparent; text-decoration: none; color: #111; font-weight: normal">it-frm.com/</a>

Hi guys. This morning i woke up and tried to log in to my steam account, but long story short, my password AND my email address has been changed. So i can't log in, i can't get password recovery email, and i can't even do jacksh*t on the steam support site, because every menu requires your email address. Is there a way to make contact with steam support, outside their stupid page? And is there any chance to get back my account? Sidenote, i got a gmail notification about suspicious activity, idk if this is relevant or not, but i changed my pw, and ran an antivirus, just in case.

Summary Online content group OfflineTV appears to be session hijacked by some crypto-scam called "ripple". Quotes My thoughts I am surprised YouTube has not changed the unlisting a videos in mass to require password retype or 2FA approval. I thought they would have done that after the scathing rebuke they got from the "hackening" WAN show. Maybe they could get a reminder on their responsibilities to creators on WAN tonight Sources https://youtube.com/@OfflineTV

I want to share and give advice: Today I received this e-mail and immediately begun securing my account, unfortunately, Community Market Items can't be refunded so I lost 20€. I can't say for sure this is the hacker's account but avoid it like the plague. DO NOT TRUST STEAM WITH YOUR MONEY Until today, I tough Steam was a Relatively safe-haven when it comes to account security (for some reason), and I had a strong password. And yet, here I am: with a stupid useless digital spear and 20€ less on my steam wallet. I'll survive, that money wasn't for food, just Silksong :') the account is now secured and I have taken additional measures to protect it further. Here's my advice: Don't leave money in any online account if it can be avoided. Always use 2FA, the more the merrier. ANd if it is an option for you, use a password manager. If you got hacked, share your experience, someone somewhere may not get hacked thanks to you.

So its pretty simple, i left my machine for 9 minutes and i came back to a random guy hoping i had my card details saved in multiple places so he could buy gift cards and order stuff to his home. one of the things i saw was he tried to order things from aliexpress, which he almost went through with, except those little 3 numbers on the back of the card were wrong (your browser asks you to enter them even if you have the card details saved). Did a little looking around from what he'd done and found out he has his aliexpress account still logged in (as soon as i saw somebody logged on - i force shut downed my system). What should i do with the data i got? Is it even real?

Account Hacked OC Tech Support Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/playstation. Moderators remove posts from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose. Hello everyone, I have recently come home to Canada from Europe. I have been waiting for 7 months to get back home and talk to all my friends and relax on my PlayStation but.... it has come to my attention that my password has been changed, and my account has been banned... I have tried calling multiple times, it's either a hang up straight away, a no answer... I have been using that account for over 6 years and have spent almost 1000 dollars on it, but now I have lost everything because some fool decided to hack my account and get it banned. I'm getting no support through a phone call. Does anybody have and suggestions?? I'm about done with PlayStation... Here is my post on r/playstation. Post instantly removed by mods, I legitimately need help. Any suggestions???

Blu Android J2 changed to C6 then C5? Is this hacked?
Digi Maul posted a topic in Phones and Tablets
Hello all, ok so I have been buying some cheap android phones as of late. I work in construction and break phones quite a bit. I bought a Blu J6 2020, and Blu J2...I keep noticing weird gaming apps keep being installed, and the model number on the OS keeps changing? I recently found a weird landlord had put cameras in my apartment? Wondering if the phones are being hacked and the two scenarios maybe related...any thoughts guys and gals? -
Today I logged onto my pc to find that I have been banned from a couple discord servers, after a very brief investigation I found out my discord account has been hacked. I changed my password and enabled two step verification but I am unsure if my account is still compromised and if not, if there was a way to appeal for the ban on the LTT discord server. Summary STORMOUS ransomware group claims to have breached Epic Games, the creator of the Unreal Engine and Fortnite. Quotes My thoughts Another massive data breach in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine. The Stormous group has been quoted to be in support of Russia in other online articles adding to the narrative that this attack is in response to such events. At this time Epic Games has not acknowledged the breach. Sources https://twitter.com/darktracer_int/status/1501662062438612992

POST REMOVED FROM r/PlayStaion I really don't know what to do. Today my dad called me and asked if I purchased a bunch of stuff on my PSN account, which I hadn't, I have been swamped trying to figure out online schooling for the past few moths and have had 0 time to game, nor the funds to buy new ones. I checked my email and sure enough, over $1k USD of games was purchased in the last 6 days. So I didn't panic. I went to change my password. No dice, I can't log in I can't send myself a change password email, nothing. Still I did not panic. I went to the PSN support site. Spoke with the bot that told me to call or use live chat. I tried calling, was told that due to high call traffic I would not be assisted. It's COVID and a new console just dropped, completely understandable. So I went to the online chat, and the response I got from there, that made me panic. The conversation went as follows: Employee's name is changed and will be referred to as Jim. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Jim: Thank you for contacting PlayStation, my name is Jim how may I assist you today? Remember: Please do not refresh your screen as it will disconnect the chat session. Thanks! Me: Hello, I have lost access to my account Me: and have found purchases i did not authorize Jim: Hi OP, nice to meet you. After reviewing your account, the system shows it has been permanently banned because activity that violates the PSN terms of service and user agreement was identified; unfortunately you will not be able to sign in to PSN using this account anymore. However, we recommend to create a new account if you want to have access to PSN services again. For more information, here is an article with a list of reasons why your account can be permanently ban, sadly no further details or information can be discussed: LINK REMOVED With this information said, besides this please tell me, is there any other question, or anything else I can try to assist you with today? Me: but I have not done anything is there someone I can contact about this? I think my account was stolen? Jim: We’re highly sorry however there is no way for us to change the status of the account as we found a violation on the terms of service as we mentioned. We appreciate your understanding on the matter. Kindly allow us to mention that, if you have no more questions besides this, we do thank you for contacting PlayStation support, and hoping you have a nice day. __________________________________________________ I was then booted from the chat. Worried that I may have just lost over 10 years of achievements and digital game purchases. I quickly checked my email again looking for a notification of a ban. Nothing. So I called again, no answer. I read over the last conversation and realized I may have come off as trying to get my account unbanned, and while this is true in the end, I had just been notified of this by a support worker, I just wanted some information. So I thought I would try again. After waiting for 30 min another employee was here to help! Referred to as Not Jim or NJ. ______________________________________________ Not Jim: Thank you for contacting PlayStation, my name is NJ how may I assist you today? Remember: Please do not refresh your screen as it will disconnect the chat session. Thanks! Me: Hello, I believe my account has been hacked. I do not know what to do NJ: Thank you for that information. After verifying your account I can see it was permanently banned. Violation of the “Terms of Services and User Agreement” for the PlayStation Network was found in the Sony Entertainment Network account and it was banned according to the agreement. The details of the reason have been sent to the email currently linked to the account in question. To continue using our services you may create a new PSN account. Is there anything else we can help you with? Me: I did not receive an email (edited from transcript to fix my spelling of receive) NJ: I'm truly sorry but we have no other options for this case. I'm sorry but, we cannot provide further commentary with regards to this case. Thank you for contacting PlayStation and your understanding on this matter. ________________________________________________________ I am distraught, is there really nothing I can do? I know that I can dispute the charges on the card but it doesn't appear for there to be an option for me to dispute the ban or reclaim my account. I am honestly heartbroken. 10 years, of friends, clips, games, saves, and achievements, lost? All because I didn't log on for a few months? It doesn't feel right. It's making me feel sick. If this doesn't get resolved I think I may give up on PlayStation. This is the second time my account has been hacked and ever since the major breach back in 2011 I have been super carful with my passwords. I will continue to try calling the phone lines, and I will update the post if anything changes, but everybody: don't leave your emails unattended and change your passwords regularly. If anyone has any advise or kind words, I would love to hear them. Best, Draqings

Hello, I will start this with some backstory of the event that happened. In the morning I powered on my PC and discord has automatically logged me out (I'm usually logged in automatically) and for my 5-6 years of using discord it has never logged me out. At first I thought nothing of it, later on I received an email from google that someone knows my password and I should change it, they said my password appeared in a non google data breach. This concerned me and also answered my question about my discord however although my email and discord emails are the same they do not share the same passwords. Overall I still didn't think too much of it, just a data breach, happens all the time now so i just changed my password and didn't think about it again. Later on in the day I discovered with conversations with my family that my mother, father and sister's email all had the same email from google that someone knows their password and should change it, also the email was sent near around the same time as each other. What worries me here is that this seems targeted, I mean obviously all our passwords are different, and the thing is that my email that was hacked is kind of a email I don't use, like I think I only signed up to discord and one other thing with it and that's it so I don't know where the data breach with my details are. Because even if it came from discord or the other website I used to register my email with, my other families members 100% haven't signed their emails to that service. This is all assuming that our details were involved in a non google data breach, since google told us this. Anyways, I just wrote this looking for answers, what happened, how could of this happened, is this a targeted attack against me and my family? I don't know why it would be, were not important or anything. Some extra details, when i was trying to find a common link to come up with an explanation, the thing that connects our emails together is that my mothers email that got hacked has emailed my email that got hacked and she has also emailed all my other family members who's emails got hacked. But my email (the one that got hacked) the last time she emailed me was a very long time ago and she has since been emailing my main email(the one that hasn't been hacked) Although this theory has holes in it since it doesn't explain how they knew all our passwords since they are all different. (this is also assuming that this is in fact how they found our emails) If you need any other details please ask, i want to get to the bottom of this. Thanks.

Hey everyone, A couple days ago I had my first experience being hacked on Instagram. How it happened is something I cannot figure and its seriously bugging me. I use a password manager that generates a strong password to secure to my account. I have 2 factor authentication set up and my choice was to use the password managers one time password as the authenticator as well as sms code. I have login notifications on as well so anytime I login I get an email and a push notification. I also have suspicious login attempt notifications on. Upon waking up the other day, I received a text from a few friends alerting me I was hacked. I did not receive a email login notification nor did I receive a push notification or suspicious login attempt notification. I did not receive a text with a 2-step code. Thankfully in my case, my password was not changed. I was able to open Instagram as usual and logout the other person who signed in. They were signed in from Germany. Here's what I do not understand, I logged in on my PC to change my password, immediately I got an email and push notification alerting me of a suspicious login attempt that requires my approval. Why did this not happen when said hacker logged in? I know most "hacks" are phishing except I've only ever been logged in on my phone and I have never used a third party app to sign in with my Instagram. I also change my password every 6 months out of fear of being hacked since its happened to multiple of my friends. Does anyone know how it is possible that they were able to by pass 2-factor and login notifications?

steam support I was hacked and Steam support won’t help me.
DaddyLongLeegs posted a topic in Off Topic
Hi! I just noticed an old post from Linus himself who seemed to be very unhappy with the steam support after his account got hacked and he received no help. My steam account was hacked last Saturday. Basically, my trade offer with my CSGO skins to my second account (which is was transferring my skins to) was redirected to some 6 year old level 30 account. The odd thing is, it cancelled my first offer to my account, which I never cancelled (so It never came to my second account) and redirected it to this guy without me doing anything and even better, it was confirmed in steam guard! I never confirmed anything that is for sure... Now I wrote a whole book explaining the story and giving pictures, tradehistory, lost items, name of the account, pictures of the trade themselves from my steam guard and I even found the guys steam URL even after he blocked me so that they could bring some kind of justice. I send all this for the support to work with and I just get the generic copy paste (blabla we are sorry, we cannot return items in case of scams, you should go look at our article about safe trading...). So basically he never took the time to read what I wrote and replied as if I was scammed, which really annoys because I had no control over this whole thing and it is the security of their trading system that is compromised. I understand that they refuse to duplicate items, but the least I ask for is for a compensation because I am not a wealthy person, and that was around 50/75 euros worth of CSGO skins and took me about 5 years to put together with some really nice stickers. I sent a message asking for a solution, he sent me another copy paste message and closed the ticket. This feels really unfair and I need some help. Imagine if you were using PayPal to send money to a friend and the transfer gets redirected do to a security issue, well in that case PayPal will reimburse you in a blink of and eye because they have reasonable customer policy. I hope someone can help me with this mess, but this really just annoyed me with steam. Stay safe and wish you all the best, Bastian. -

Mike Pence used a private email account when he was govenour of Indiana and got hacked last summer. source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/03/mike-pence-used-private-email-indiana-governor-hacked/ So, let the political drama begin. Pence is being exposed as a hypocrite however outshines the fact that there are two bigger problems out there: Apparently government email addresses are too inconvenient for political users. Why this is I don't know but the fact that Clinton, Pence and others (In my home country of the Netherlands this happened as well) are using private email, shows that government email is not satisfying user demands. The consequence of this is that users are communicating sensitive info over unsecured channels. Government employees are not educated enough on the fact of (email)security. If users get a good reason why they are (pretty much) required to use government email. They should know why they shouldn't put sensitive info on private email addresses and why they should separate work and private life. So, another political scandal for the Trump administration aside. What do you guys think?

I'm putting this here, because I am 90% sure that Ubisoft is just trying to fix this without informing anyone. I started getting e-mails this past week that my account and password had been changed with Ubisoft. At first I thought this was a phising scam. But the websites they linked me to worked out. However the site that it links to is just a page where you have to find your region specific support. The phone number listed there informs you that if your problem is not specifically that you can't log in then you are SOL over the phone. If you follow the link to the region support then you have to log in to do live chat. But of course live chat has a high volume. Suspicious. If you go over to the Ubisoft forum there is a note there that you should change your password. All this leads me to believe that Ubisoft has been hacked, but they aren't telling anyone. Further their customer support is a joke. Just keep digging Ubi. NOTE TO MODS: If you need to move this because it is not "news" I understand. But I think this qualifies.
