Hi. Today i noticed my gpu clock and memory clock stays at 1605 mhz and 7000 mhz. It causes the temparature to rise above 60C and afns to spin. After that i restarted my system and it went back to normal. After the restart it jumps to full clock speeds for a 1 second only and it goes back to normal.(Gpu usage is between 3% and 5%) is this jumping normal? And i have some background windows apps working, do i need to close them and how do i do?

Hey everyone So i bought a 3070 and it arrived yesterday and i installed in my PC. I uninstalled my amd driver and installed my nvidia driver. But i have a problems (obviously). My Utilization, GPU Clock and Mem Clock spike all the time. So first of all My specs are: Asus RTX 3070 Dual OC, B450 Tomahawk (not the max version), Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb ram. Before i had a RX Vega 56. Now, some informations about the problem. When i'am on a screen where nothing really happends like here right now, writing this post, everything is fine. My Utilization is at like 1-2%, my gpu clock is at 210 and my mem clock is at 405. Even if a Stream is running in the background in a different tab. But when i switch Tabs my Utilization spikes 25-45% like you can see in the picture below, those spikes happend now just by switching between tabs. GPU Clock and Mem Clock stays at 210mhz and 405mhz. . Also when I'am on my Desktop and the GPU is at 1-2% and then i start and hold my left mouse button and draw squares then it also starks spiking. If i watch a Stream (only if the Stream is in a open tab) it looks like this. When I'am on Twitch Channel that is offline it looks like this. Also Youtube videos are bit more laggy some times. At one point so far this happend, the Picture of the Video stops/freezed all the time but the Audio keeps playing for a sec and then it catches up again, and then Audio cuts out a bit. So it was really janky. And a few times it happend now that Videos take like 2sec to load when i skip around. And some other times it works normally where i can skip arround and it just works fine without lag or anything. Here is how it looks when i watch a Youtube Video and it load after i skipped, in the middle where i suddenly goes down for a bit switched tabs. And at the end i opened like 16 videos and let them run. When I'am Streaming (OBS running), my Capture Card is running, 2 Streams are running (in open tabs), it looks like this. And my GPU Clock is at 1770 and my Mem clock on 6800. So i would think that theoretically it should be worse here, since i have 2 Streams running and OBS which is running the Stream and my Capture Card, but its runs pretty fine. I ask around a bit and some people say that is completely normal. But someone that talk with me about it, ask his friend who has a 3070 and when he has Twitch open he has only around 2-10% https://i.imgur.com/2k63p03.png (kept is as a link because its a bit bigger.) With my RX Vega 56, i also only had like 5-10% while watching streams oder videos. I also tried turning of Hardware Acceleration in Chrome, because someone said that that could help, but nothing changed really. So now i'am wondering... is this normal? Or is it not? What could be the problems, how could i fix it? Someone said thats its maybe the Drivers? I was also wondering if i should maybe Soft Reset for my Pc, like deleting all the software etc but keeping my private data, because maybe there are some drivers or something left from AMD that didn't got completely deleted and causes problems? So yeah... I hope someone can help me here. P.S while i'am here and at it, i was wondering if i could use MSI Afterburner to lower my Powr Limit to like 40-60%, to save some power if i don't need it. Or if that could cause problems, like damaging the GPU, because it's not supposed to be doen? Thanks in advance^^

I facing problem that my GPU clock stuck/locked at 135 Mhz only even when I running games. Memory usage also stuck. I also done the fresh install the windows, and the driver. Okay, hi people of the LTT forums! I am trying to play GTA V with my 1050ti and my framerates on minimal settings struggle to hit anything more than 10-20 fps. It used to work fine two days ago, it was running at Very High settings at 50-60 fps so I know this isn't right. I have been triying to fix this for 2 weeks and nothing...I have got new (used) mobo and ram and has finnaly happy that i will be able to play some games but ofc no.The problem is my gpu.When i try to play some really gpu intensive games (rise of tomb raider nfs the run etc),I get big fps spike in first couple of seconds (60-70fps) and than it drops into the 20s.I tried running them on max and lowest(even resolution) and same thing.Its like gpu is trying for couple of seconds and nothing.I looked into msi afterburner graphs and immediately i saw that the gpu clock was the problem,after restart and boot in to the game it spikes into 100mhz or 1150 mhz and drops and goes bettwen 300 mhz and 400mhz and never goes up(while fps is the same 15-25).I tried uninstalling gpu drivers at least 10 times ,used DDU and it stays the same.Any help would be great,thanks.

So here's my story I've gone to tom's hardware and no luck so this is my last option before taking it somewhere. I need all the last help I can get. recently my GPU has been overheating. I don't know why. I have chnaged thermal paste out and thermal pads to vram and whatnot to the inside of the card. None of my layouts reagarding air flow has changed and my fans are spotless. They work perfectly fine and rotate without a problem. Things start to go badly when I load certain games for instance Escape From Tarkov, Kingdom Come: deliverance, or even ARK. My idle temps are 29-35 C. However when I load previous games i ran on 50-70C they are jumping to close to 100C in a spand of 5-7 seconds. I've set fan curves and they almost prove ineffective. I don't know what could be wrong I've updated my bios, drivers and firmware. I've restored any Nvidia settings I've ever tinkered with. I have also gotten multiple programs to monitor these temps and they all read the same. My card never used to do this and randomly started crashing my PC about a week and a half ago. It doesn't jump temps all low stress games like Minecraft, Besieged, etc. I've run out of ideas and hope somebody can help me with this. Hello, my gpu clock is locked at 139 and 253mhz.. I have tried to reinstall my drivers 20 times. Asus rog strix gtx 1060 6gb oc.

Hello guys,I have got an small problem,MSI Afterburner is not downclocking my GPU while I have YTB/FB in backround or I am watching an YTB video/Facebook video.My GPU artifacts with the stock clocks at 1070mhz on the core and 1600mhz on the vram,and I have played alot of games with the card downclocked at 920mhz on the gpu core clock and 1250 on the vram,I dont really care about the performance loss because I have an G3258@3.8GHZ(3.8GHZ because it uses less V).Any ideas of what should I do?I have tried flashing an modified BIOS but the clock speeds changed only in GPU-Z when I wanted to play an game the clocks went back to stock and I was getting artifacts.And I have delayed MSI Afterburner with 20 sec at the startup.Got the GPU for 100$ I am not mad about this the previous owner told me that it was broken.

While playing BF4, my FPS were going crazy (totally random), sometimes i could get min fps of ~50 at 1080p, and the other day I hardly go to 30fps at 1366x768. With evga precision , i've found out that gpu clock speed sometimes stays low, at 405Mhz , and sometimes jumps to 810Mhz. First thought : temperature , but it stayed at the same level on both 405 and 810 Mhz. Second though : power , but the powerbrick is rated for 135w and it drains only about 100W from the wall. I've already seen a lot of posts, ppl having same problem but none of their solutions worked for me (i've done all basic stuff like restarting pc, clean install of drivers, reinstalling game, turning off power saving etc.) Similar things happen in other games (Witcher 2, WarThunder) but in less demanding titles (LoL, CS:GO), clock speed sits at 810Mhz, and GPU stays at nice and comfy 60-65 C. I've got no clue whats wrong, any ideas ?

Guys can any one help me i own a gtx 670 dcuII it's not the top model and i am willing to overclock it with it's stock asus cooler as much as possible. please help me i am new to overclocking field so guide me.
